There was a status hearing today for the man that officials suspects to have killed a 20 year old Tennessee nursing student, Holly Bobo, after he kidnapped her in 2011 although her body has yet to be found. She was last seen in 2011 by her brother. He said he saw her being led into the woods near her home by a man dressed in camouflage
The Bobo family and friends appeared in court today and were not pleased with the results in today’s hearing. Apparently the judge waived Zachary Adams’s right to appear today, which he claims to regret doing, so Adams did not appear today. The judge has ordered him to have to show up though from now on. The next hearing is set for April 30 at 1 p.m.
It has been reported that Adams, who is 29 years old, has made a plea of not guilty but he has not retained a lawyer yet. The state is refusing to do any kind of discovery until Adams officially retains a lawyer. The judge said they can not proceed until this happens.
At today’s hearing the state warned the judge that they have three years of evidence and it could take some time to comb through it all. They claim there is so much discovery that they have an employee totally dedicated to sorting through them.
Adams is being held at the Chester County Jail and he heard about an inmate there was being transferred to the same jail where his younger brother was being held at. He allegedly got the inmate to take a threatening message to the brother. The message sent was reportedly to John Dylan Adams who is doing time at another jail for a stolen firearms charge. The message said, “He’s the one who started this [expletive] and if he don’t keep his mouth shut he will be in the hole beside her.” This threat could mean that Adams will also be facing another charge of coercion of a witness.
I don’t know if this man killed Bobo or not but if they have enough evidence to convict him I pray he will be kept off the streets for the rest of his life. He should never be allowed to be free again. My thoughts and prayers are with the Bobo family. I can imagine the toll all this has taken from them.
