Nah Nah Poopy Head!

I’m sure someone like yourself is only too happy with people from the religious right who want to put up “The Ten Commandments” in all sorts of public places. After all, it’s secular impact is far greater than that of a mere Christmas tree. It was one of the earliest examples of codified law. Its impact on western culture is profound. What’s that? It’s a religious symbol you say? And are you the ultimate arbiter of what’s a religious symbol? All that matters is that many people consider both the ten commandments and christmas trees to be religious symbols. This country is not supposed to promote anyone’s religion over anyone else’s. One rationale for that is so the rights of minority groups won’t be trample by ignorant bullies like yourself who want to force everyone to participate in their own particular religious practices and customs.

You want two Christmas trees in your house? That’s fantastic. You want to use public funds to display Christmas trees in a public place? You’re part of the problem. You have no concept of separation of church and state. You have no concept of protecting the rights of minority. It would do you some good to try living in a country with, for example, an Islamic government so you can see just how awful it is to have someone else religion forced upon you. Regardless, I think you should apply your own advice to yourself — get a life (preferably one where you no longer view yourself as thecenter of the universe).
