Myra LewisAn Amber Alert has been issued by the Mississippi Highway Patrol for a 2 year old girl, Myra Lewis from Camden Mississippi yesterday. They are treating the disappearance of the child now as an abduction.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Department, Madison and Ridgeland police and fire departments, Rankin County, Hinds County and Rankin and Madison Emergency Management are all working together in the search for the little girl.

Myra Lewis was last seen at the home of her parents in Camden, Ms. Saturday morning. Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker said, “Parents stated they last saw the two year old around 10 a.m. yesterday morning there were several kids there. The father was watching an infant child inside, the other children went outside to play and the two year old wandered off. We’ve searched approximately four square miles around this residence and unfortunately have not been able to locate Myra.”

According to the Sheriff Myra went missing around 10 a.m. Saturday but his office was not notified until 4:00 Saturday afternoon which is when the searches started by several police agencies volunteers and rescue crews along with some local volunteers. One of the local volunteers, Cassandra Bacon said, “I thought about my baby and it could have been my baby and it’s so sad she only 2 years old and it just deepens my heart because it could have been my child, he’s 2.”

Little Myra was last seen wearing a turquoise sweater with a black bear on the front and khaki pants with pink shiny shoes (tennis) with glitter on them. Her mother, Ericka Lewis said that sometimes her daughter will suck her thumb upside down. Myra is about 34 inches tall and she weighs about 25 pounds.

Ericka made a plea, “We just want her back home. We won’t worry about pressing charges, we just want her back home safe.

If anyone has any information that can help authorities locate this little girl, please call 855-642-6378. This baby is only 2 years old. She must be scared to death missing her Mother and family. Please help her find her way home if you have any kind of information that might help.

I pray she is found safe and is returned home.
