Fifty countries including the United States, Germany, France, Israel, the UK and even nations from Latin America would be participating in the show which gets off on February 5 bringing in top of the line weapons platforms for display.

For the first time, the US Defence Majors would put up an air display of the F-16 fighting falcon, F-18/A Super Hornets, the Russian their new Mig-29m fighter, the Swedish the next generation Grippens, Secretary Defence Production K P Singh told newsmen here.

The show is jointly being put up by Ministry of Defence and leading Industry Chamber Ficci, which has roped in the expertise of the leading UK Air Show Organisers Faranborough.
While Germany will participate for the first time with three companies, the US, the UK, France, Russia, Germany, Israel, Italy and Ukraine will have country pavillions. A number of members of the Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries will also be present. According to defence ministry officials, producers of aircraft engines, systems, sub-systems, avionics and airfield radars would also be present.
