It was with great delight that I opened a UPS package yesterday and discovered it contained a copy of Chipmunks Christmas. Who doesn’t love Alvin, Simon and Theodore? What started as a musical prank in 1958 by Rostom Sipan “Ross” Bagdasarian, better known by his stage name David Seville has grown into a music, TV, and movie phenom.

Just in time for Christmas Capitol Records have released the next musical treasure from the three unruly Chipmunks!

Chipmunks Christmas is everything you could ask for and more. Hugely amusing, entertaining and ever so slightly irreverent. This is a CD that will appeal to both young and old.

David Seville died in 1972, but I am sure that he would give his stamp of approval for this latest CD.

Generally my wife and I do not share the same music tastes, but this is one CD that we can agree on. In fact when she spotted the UPS delivery she snatched the CD out of my hand and plugged it into her computer. As she was wearing headphones all I could hear was her chuckling. I know that she has listened to it several times, in fact I had to Arm Wrestle her this morning to get a chance to hear it!

I also had to promise that she could offer her own comments about the CD. So here is Jan:

This CD was so cute and I can’t think of anyone that wouldn’t have a smile on their face as Alvin and The Chipmunks bring their Christmas spirits into your home with this CD. As a parent I can identify with David Seville as he is constantly having to yell,”Alvin!” but you can’t help but laugh when you hear him yelling and at the responses he gets from them. The music is fun and full of joy.

You can get your own copy of Chipmunks Christmas by using the Amazon link above.
