I have a cardinal rule on the subject of interviews, learn as much about the subject to be discussed as you possibly can, before you ask questions. Unfortunately time was not on my side and so I was most definitely coming from a position of weakness with this interview.
Joe Gilberti’s story is both simple, but hugely complex. Even after 90 minutes of live interview I am not sure that I really have a grasp on it. At the simple level, Joe Gilberti is concerned about fresh water in part of Florida. The current situation is to use the Peace River as a major resource provider, this is stressing the river and the ecosystem in the area. The solution that Joe Gilberti suggests is to tap into a huge aquifer that could provide an almost limitless supply of fresh water.
Joe however is finding resistance to his solution, and this is where the complexity aspect comes into play. There appears to be corporate and maybe government interests that would prefer that Joe not succeed in his quest. Quite why this might be is still a bit of a mystery to me. What I can say is that Joe Gilberti has a story worthy of a New York Times bestseller.
If you missed the live broadcast you can listen to the recording here. I will leave it up to the listener to decide on the merits. As I said earlier, I had little time to research the subject and so was forced to ask general questions and reaped some pretty wide ranging answers.
I will say this, I believe that Joe Glberti has a story that is worth investigating. If he is right he could well have a solution that could solve a serious issue for Florida.

At least you could write an executive summary instead of sending us to listen to a long-winded interview. Come on. Do your job. Tell me WHY I should read it, what’s the gist of Joe’s plan, and what’s wrong with it. Florida has thousands of sink holes opening up because increased population has leeched the aquifer so much as to lower the water table and weaken the subsoil structure. Carbolic acid in the rain contributes to underground erosion too. I think it make more sense to build an array of desalination plants near the electric power stations around Florida’s coast. The ocean can provide all the fresh water we need. Look at Tampa’s desalination plant as an example. Tampa bay needs 3 or 4 of them. Then the aquifer would go plump again and the sinkholes would stop popping in all over the state.
Bob,
I copied your email below to confirm you lack of knowledge as this is in the deep Floridan 1000 feet below the intermediate just before the Boulder Basin starts from Charlotte south to Key West. I want to insure folks understand you were wrong and desalinisation is the most expensive and worse with no minerals and our is ready to drink Spring Water hidden by the EPA and leaders from Washington to Florida and more. So these are your words and I want to follow up for all to realize I am a PE not a news guy! The Water sells itself and the permit is almost done! The Government is withholding data so I cannot finish it, so now I start deposing so the attorneys can eat who are holdiing it up!
“Thanks for the info, Joe. I appreciate your enthusiasm and verve. I cannot help you in any way that I know of. I love the water business, but don’t have any contacts in it any more.”

Let the Truth set you Free….lol
Both Governor Scott and Christ, along with Obama have continued to ingore and hide this Trillion Gallon per day CLEAN Water Aquifer that is being stolen by local leaders, EPA and SWFWMD officials in Florida that know of the permitting FDOH, FDEP, SWFWMD, project we have funding for to pipe to South Florida, and replace Peace River WTP causing the RED Tide to be pumped and treated to humans. Presentations with Heiht Engineers, E2E2 Engineers at the 17 County SWFWMD Cooporative funding and more last month. With record permits and emails to all officials including Senator Rubio, President Obama, and Adam Putnam with Governor Scott. Depositions start in March to pull in all Leaders that hid and tried to steal Cecil Daughtrey’s 2500 acre Ranch east of Myakka Park, with a 1507 foot deep 12-inch pipe dug in 1968, which found a River of Clean water with unlimited supply, enough to feed the Eastern US!! Come to the site with all your testing and engineers and see!! Thats why our attorneys filed the RICO case about to hid National Media with our $500 million dollar fund.
Very interesting stuff. I happen to be an old friend of Joe’s and plan on visiting the site this month. I am curious to see what type of a response theses government officials come up with.
