A 12 year old girl, Alyssa Marie Sedletzeck, was last seen on Sunday by her family. She was first listed as a runaway but after she didn’t show up with any of her friends and didn’t show up at school, the Vigo County Sheriff’s department Detective Karen Cross said they decided to issue an Indiana Missing Teen report at the urging of the girl’s parents. Alyssa doesn’t have any medical or anything else to make her endangered at this time so an Amber Alert has not been issued.
The girl was last seen around 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the home of her family which is located on North Page St in the Howard Subdivision off Hwy. 41 at Hasselburger Road in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Alyssa has been described as being a white female that is 5 ft. 2 inches tall. She weighs about 105 pounds. She has straight long brown hair and brown eyes. The last time she was seen she was wearing a dark T-shirt, blue jeans, and a purple and green flat-billed cap. Apparently she was with an unknown person.
The family has reported that they have been monitoring her Facebook account to see if she logs in on it. They did find that she recently had made contact with a male online claiming to be 21 years of age but Detective Cross said she has received some information that the male might not be 21, in fact he might be around the same age as Alyssa is.
If you or anyone you may know has any information concerning Alyssa’s disappearance please call Crime Stoppers as 812-238-STOP.
I do hope and pray this girl is found safe. It really scares me to know she talked to someone online that apparently was trying to be someone they weren’t. Young kids often are fooled by people like that and it worries me. I pray that Alyssa is safe where ever she is.
