Autism campaigners around the world will be using the power of twitter in support of the 5th annual United Nations World Autism Awareness Day on Monday 2nd April this year. World Autism Awareness Day was launched by the United Nations General Assembly – the event was tabled by the State of Qatar in 2008.
A World Autism Awareness Day Twitter Storm has been organised by British autism campaigner Ivan Corea who has urged parents, carers and the Autism Community across the globe to tweet for autism using the universal hashtag #worldautismday. Campaigners are urging people around the world to tweet all day hoping that #worldautismday will trend on twitter.
