jade-beneby.jpgThe Delray Beach Police Department is reporting the disappearance of a 17 year old girl, Jade Beneby this morning who was apparently abducted from a bus stop.

The girl reportedly left her home this morning around 6:30 a.m. and headed to the bus stop as she was heading for school. She is a student at Atlantic High School. According to the reports her mother told the police that her daughter sent her a text message at 7:05 a.m. telling her that she needed help. At 7:06 a.m. another text was sent telling her mother that she had been put into the trunk of a car and that she did all that she could do.

Delray Beach Police Department Sgt. Nicole Guerrero said that Jade’s mother was extremely distraught and they are investigating to try and find out exactly what happened to the teenager. “All the investigative tools that we have are being used at this time,” said Guerrero. “Everything that you can think of – we’re trying to do to locate Jade.”

Jade is described as a black female that is about 5 ft 6 inches tall and she weighs about 105 pounds. Jade has black hair and brown eyes and when she was last seen she was wearing a long sleeve white shirt, blue jeans and she was carrying a pink school bag. The bus stop she was headed for is located at Southwest 8th Avenue and SW 1st Avenue.

If anyone can bring some light into what happened to this young girl please contact the Delray Beach police department at (561) 243-7800. So far no witnesses has come forth.

I pray that this young lady is found before any harm comes to her and that she can be back with her family soon.
