jessica-smith.jpgAn Amber Alert in Fort Worth Texas has been issued for 11 year old Jessica Smith who police believe was taken by her mother, Kimberly Smith. Although they decline to say why, the police are reporting the girl could be in danger.

According to Jessica’s older sister, 16 year old Caitlin Fields, there has been some family issues. “It’s kinda just personal stuff that’s been going on for a while. Jessica’s been talking to her counselor about it and I guess my mom didn’t want her to,” said Caitlin. Apparently there was an argument between Kimberly and other members of the family the night she and Jessica disappeared and it got pretty serious.

Kimberly is going through a divorce and she appears to be struggling a bit. Caitlin was asked if she thought her sister was in any danger with her mother she answered, “I like to hope not. But there’s no telling because my mom’s never done anything like this.”

She added, “I don’t know if we’ve underestimated her or if we’re overestimating her. I just hope we can get through it and Jessica is okay and my mom gets some help.”

Jessica is described as be a female that is about 5’1” tall and she weighs about 120 pounds. She has brown eyes and straight brown hair. Jessica normally wears glasses but it is believed that when she disappeared that she didn’t have them on. She was last seen at her home in the 7300 block in Fort Worth Texas.

She has a cross tattooed on the back of her neck and another decorative tattoo on her back. The police believe she is driving a 2007 silver Mazda CX-9 with Texas license plate number BMZ-390. The windows on the car are tinted and a pink and green Harley Davidson decal is on the rear window.

The Fort Worth police are asking if anyone has any information on the whereabouts of Kimberly and Jessica Smith, to please call 911 or you can call them at (817) 335-4222.
