Excellent article reviewing studies regarding high fructose corn syrup. Just like cigarettes, the negative aspects of this Frankensugar will eventually float to the surface of the research--even with the millions pitted against it. Addictive personalities will continue to choose to be addicted to this "sugar corn crack" even with the truth becoming known.
Unfortunately, school foods are laced with high fructose corn syrup, insuring that generations will be addicted.
If you do reach Audrae Erickson, would you please ask her if she personally drinks that artificial red drink (from the first "corn crack" commercials) and gives it to her own children? She will not answer my own requests.
Thanks again for reporting the research. Writers and reporters like you, Simon Barrett, will be heralded as heroes in a future that calls this era the "Fast Food Holocaust." It takes courage to stand up for what is right.
We must love our children enough to feed them real foods.

And high uric acid is one the prime causes of gout, arthritis and other arthritic maladies plaguing Americans today. High fructose should be in the category of a controlled substance based upon the harm it does to the human body.
