I hope he also knows a man named Jawaharlal who happen to state in front of Indian parliament and in a telegram to PM of Pakistan, that Kashmir's future would be decided through a plebiscite. Since then, Zia ul Haq's Islamisation of Pakistan has totally changed the matrix of conflict from the territory to religious ideology. Unfortunate. That is where the real problem now lies. India will never accept the religion based card of Pakistan to destroy its long cherished secular identity. Kashmir being a land locked state and surrounded by hounds all around, independent Kashmir will be a non-starter from the word go. Those in doubt should revise the Jinnah's plan in 1947 of tacit invasion in October 1947. Dr. O. P.
