I recently had the opportunity to read Mondo Frazier’s new book The Secret Life Of Barack Hussein Obama, you can find my review here. I have to admit that I was somewhat surprised by it. Just based on the title alone my expectations were that the reader was in for 300 pages of bile and vitriol. That was not the case, this is a very well researched, well written and well reasoned piece of writing that explores the background of our current president.

Mondo Frazier is not a new name to me, I have known him for a couple of years, his ‘day job’ is running the somewhat political web site DBPK deathby1000papercuts.com (well worth a visit).

Yesterday I had the opportunity to sit down one on one with the elusive Mondo Frazier. You can listen to the interview here.

It was an interesting conversation to say the least. One question that I had to ask was how does a first time author manage to land a publishing deal with Simon & Schuster? “They asked me” was his reply! I won’t spoil the story, but I will say that his answer is well worth listening to.

The story behind Barack Hussein Obama is at best a complex one. His history is mired in controversy, lost and locked records, and big holes in establishing a credible timeline of events.

Mondo Frazier pointed out that often it is the minutiae that is the problem. Missing year book photos, lack of people ‘remembering’ him, oh and where are the girls he dated?

You do not have to be of a conspiratorial nature to ask these questions.

All in all a very interesting interview, and once again, the link is here.
