Many people have the misconception that the Internet is a wonderful and very anonymous world that any idiot can spew whatever vitriol they like. I hate to ruin peoples day, but that is just not real life. For the past year I have been running a radio series Surviving The 21st Century. I have been joined by Mannie Barling and Ashley F. Brooks. We have covered many subjects involving Big Food, and Big Pharma. We have attempted to engage people from these industries to join us, but they have ignored our invites.
We have been hit by many comments from Industry Shills. We have been hit with science, we have been hit with stupidity, and we have been hit by ‘the worker’ view. It was all Bull Shit.
I have been waiting for the big mistake. Eventually these people would make a mistake. They would inadvertently say, or do something that reveals their identity. That mistake was made today. A comment on this article was left:
Hank said, in August 5th, 2011 at 3:31 pm edit I am afraid that you are going to have to remove the descriptive adjectives “high quality†from the caption of your web site “…….high quality…..analysis……and writingâ€. This is one of the worst pieces of garbage I have ever seen written on this topic. Not only do the authors, who have no expertise in this area, mutilate the talking points they probably received from the Center for Food Safety and Food and Water Watch, but the number of factually inaccurate statements exceeds the few true claims by a ratio of 3:1 (three hysterical ravings from unqualified amateurs for each “nearly true†assertion). You do your readers a great disservice by publishing alarmist hyperbole that is infested with factually incorrect statements which clearly display the author’s inexperience and personal bias.
Hank however did a poor job of covering his tracks. Exactly how a VP of Selling Shit feels qualified to deride us is beyond me. Does this VP of selling shit know more about shit than we know? Yes he probably does. I don’t profess to be an expert on shit.
For those of you not familiar with Hank, here is just one online version, this one from Aquabounty:
Henry Clifford – Vice-President of Marketing & Sales
Henry Clifford was appointed Vice-President of Marketing & Sales in June 2005 and is responsible for the commercial deployment of the company’s product lines. Mr. Clifford is an internationally recognized authority on shrimp farming and genetic improvement programs with a career spanning more than 30 years in the industry. He developed and provided technical direction for some of the largest shrimp aquaculture ventures in the Americas, and has provided technical services in aquaculture to more than 250 clients in 20 countries.
Do you see any mention of him knowing a living cell from an Excel cell?
Here is another version of Hank. FIS. And who the hell is FIS? Just another industry shill?
So here is the deal Hank, Henry, or whatever name you are using today. Do you have the ‘GM Salmon Gonads’ to talk to us?
