Fox News has long been criticized for its undeniably conservative outlook, but apparently the Web site editors don’t know their right-wing talk show hosts named “Laura” very well. The home page promises comments from “Dr. Laura and others on the Foley scandal,” but the story itself has an interview with Laura Ingraham, not Laura Schlessinger (Dr. Laura).
Same difference…well, not really. Dr. Laura has a much more religious bent to her show, helping people sort through personal moral dilemmas (idiotically, she’s been criticized for having no degree in psychology — she’s a physiologist — but she offers advice, not therapy, on right and wrong, not mental health), whereas Laura Ingraham is a Rush Limbaugh-style right-wing political commentator.

UPDATE: BNN just forwarded me a nice e-mail from Dr. Laura herself(!) A few quick comments:
She maintains that her show is “not bent religiously,” and indeed people of many religions call in. By what I said, I meant more that religion plays into the show more than politics does — I would say, and I don’t think she would disagree, that her moral advice is often based on religious teachings — where Laura Ingraham’s show only covers religion when it pops up as a political issue. Dr. Laura also points out she does have qualifications as a marriage and family therapist, a fact mentioned in an article I linked to but not the post itself.
