Blogger News Network will be running our regular radio program at 4pm eastern on Sunday. It has been a very busy week in the case. The prosecution continue to hammer down their case in a chronological manner. The defense on the other hand continues to nibble away and nit pick. However they seem to be gaining little ground. I am reminded of that great movie line ‘Don’t bring a knife to a gun fight’.
I have to admit though that the prosecution has entered the dead zone when it comes to juror interest. Jan published an article on the subject here.
A good deal of Friday was also consumed with the tedious process of introducing evidence. It is a step that has to be taken, but I am sure that the Jurors were getting very bored as Brown Envelope 8 million and five was being identified.
I do hope that you will be able to join us on Sunday to hear what the panel has to say. A trial is a moving target. But one needs to understand that at the moment it is the prosecution in charge of the weapons. What will happen when the defense takes charge of the bullets may change the battlefield.
I was half joking with Jan, but I made the comment that it would have been fun to have our own surrogate juror. Someone that had no prior exposure to the case, and someone that was only exposed to the testimony in open court. What would they think? It is hard for Jan and I, or indeed any follower of this trial to walk in those shoes. We know too much. Could you face the challenge and be fair? If you are reading this article, the answer is NO.
