I have to admit that todays activities in the Casey Anthony trial took me back to the OJ Simpson double homicide trial. Even more disturbing, there is one common name Mark Fuhrman.
Furhman, at the time of the OJ Simpson trial was employed as a police officer, on the stand he was roasted, toasted, and burned to a crisp! Is this the same recipe that the defense will use with Yuri Melich?
Before I get to that aspect, lets talk a little about Mark Fuhrman. After the OJ trial he found himself out in the cold. No job, and little likelihood of getting one. Even Walmart Greeters have to pass a test.
Fuhrman has bounced back, and his new gig seems to be to hang around with the man who has the nose for news, Steff Watts. If you do not get the joke about the nose, do a quick google search . Sticking a cosmetic nose job on your corporate credit card will always cause an issue.
But what has Yuri Melich to do with the trial of Casey Anthony?
Like Mark Fuhrman he was just ‘doing his job’. Like Mark Furhman he has a life outside of the police department. The defense seem bound and determined to ruin the career of Yuri Melich. Yuri did nothing wrong, he asked the questions that he needed to ask. Yet there is odor in the testimony that smells like the defense wants to roast him. They roasted Fuhrman for being a racist, will the defense try to roast Melich for not draining the swimming pool or not spending quality time around the car to enjoy the odor?
I lost a good journalist friend when Sean Krause finally gave up his battle with cancer early in 2009. I would love to get his opinions, but alas I cannot do that. Incidentally David Lohr, the author of that article, is a journalist that I have huge respect for.
Yuri Melich had interviewed Sean because of his closeness to this story, for a while Sean was an insider with George and Cindy Anthony. All Sean had to say about the man was that Yuri was a straight shooter.
Is the defense plan to play the Fuhrman card? To show Yuri Melich as being incompetent, or worse?
Tagging Yuri Melich as a racist will not work, But, portraying him as being incompetent does seem a direction that the defense team may take. It is a ridiculous direction but the defense seems to be throwing mud balls at any wall they can find. One can only assume that they are clinging to the hope that at least one of the mud balls stick.
Can they? I doubt it. But we must watch and see.

I agree with this post. Yuri Melich gave Casey Anthony every chance to make her statement as truthful as she should have. Yuri did not realize he was dealing with a monster liar from hell.Now the defence want,s to make him into a Sheriff Deputy (Detective) that did not know how to do his job… They want to turn his complishment of putting this murder in jail and on trial for murder, Like she should be, Into Yuri not knowing his job and not putting this liar Casey Anthony into having had an accident that if it were, Casey Anthony should have reported it as such… She is guilty of Murder and should be held accountable for her crime… Yuri, Your a very good Sheriff Detective…Congradulations on Your Promotion..
The defense has to do the stupid things they are doing because they have no solid direction to go to. They will slash anybody they can. My feelings are they are trying to get second degree or manslaughter out of it. Too much incriminating evidence to get a not guilty.
As a victim and a survior of sexual child abuse, I can see alot of Casey’s actions as being genuine.
That’s not saying i’m a Casey liker. But if even half of what i’m seeing is genuine the Defense might have a very good Reasonable Doubt.
I believe George did in fact did mess with Casey. Why do i say this? Why did George immedatley Lawyer up? From what i have found out, there is No Statue of Limitations on Family Incest in Florida. So, even if George did admit to this awful crime he himself would end up in prison. And god forbid Cindy isn’t going to let her reputation be ruined.That is just my opinion.
Who lies and says their daughter isn’t pregnant and is retaining water and continues the lie with co-workers and friends.
IMO, and understand this is just my opinion, George is CayLee’s dad. That i can bet is going to be the defenses up most proof that there was in fact Sexual Child Abuse going on in the Anthony home.
As for Roy Kronk, that is going to be another story in it’s self. Again the defense isn’t going to bring something to the table unless they have soild proof. And IMO they have it.
I believe the Anthonys when they say the last time they saw Caylee was on the 15th-16th of June. For IMO that is the time Roy Kronk took Caylees dead body.

The only reasonable doubt in this case is anything presented by Baez as being the truth, since his client is such a pathological liar. Can’t wait to see what “proof” Baez thinks he has that can back up any of his statements. Forget about the “proven guilty” theory. Baez clearly is going to have to “prove” Casey’s innocence to get her out of this one!

here is why I don’t believe in the sexual abuse defense. Baez let Casey rot in jail for 3 years. Even considering that MAYBE he didn’t know about the sexual abuse allegations until they became known from the jail letters ONE YEAR AGO, NEVER ONCE has Baez deposed George, Cindy, Lee, Tony, Ricardo, Jesse or anyone else about the claims of sexual abuse. Not once. Not even after they decided to use it as a defense.
What does that tell you?
I, too, have been a victim of chronic childhood sexual abuse. And I do not find Casey Anthony’s behavior credible. Further, I don’t believe George fits the profile of an abuser. Not given the family dynamics with him and Cindy.

Caylee was highly intelligent and by all accounts healthy. I’ve seen several children who were the products of incest and they are neither. Casey’s actions could be the result of molestation or MANY other problems . . . selfishness,greed,and arrogance. It doesn’t bother some of you that there’s no evidence that her father was involved but you somehow want to believe Casey is innocent?
i’ve seen several children also that are children of incest and they were just as normal as you or i.
Still doesn’t make sense for george to lawyer up. why on earth would he or cindy need an attorney? imo it is either incest charges they are afraid of or the were afraid of getting caught excepting donations when they in fact knew caylee was dead.
no matter how one looks at it, the whole damn family is responsible for this tragedy.
and as far as the prosecution goes, even if casey did do it they have no soild prove. alot of hearsay and assumptions.
when jose gave his opening statement it was the truth imo, but people now days dont want the truth they want the ugliest of ugly and to hear the truth only made some more hateful and revengful because everything they have blogged or talked about isnt what really is.
i do pray for justice for caylee, but not at the exspense of it putting innocent people in jail.

I don’t think she is innocent at all Mtruett.And I don’t think George molested her either, but regardless of evidence, I have an opinion that he and Cindy have tried to cover up something. This is one whacked out family, and they are all deceptive.
