Day two of the jury selection process in the Casey Anthony trial came to a screeching halt this afternoon. In a strange but hardly precedent setting move Judge Perry dismissed a group of 50 potential jurors. It is being reported that this group were discussing the case prior to being invited into the court room.
This is most definitely going to impact the start date set for May/17. Judge Perry even admits that this might delay the trial by up to three days.
Of course the interesting aspect in this is that todays activities will no doubt garner great attention on the local TV stations, making it even harder to find an impartial panel.
More soon, as soon as we have more information. There was some scuttlebutt over some text messages being sent from a potential juror, but that is secondhand information.
