Without the proper oversight, we have a powerful global citizen run amok. No different from any other criminal except that these giants are harder to pin down and are experts at throwing out a scape goat that costs them nothing and greases the skids to more of the same.

With their power and wealth, a multinational must be held to a higher standard because there is too much temptation to stray into this very lucrative back alley.

I consider myself an intelligence professional and I am embarrassed and angered at Shell’s illegal activities. And I want you to know that the vast majority of companies gather and process intelligence lawfully.

Please don’t judge us all by their crimes.
