Michele Obama is an attractive woman. She is well educated and is doing a nice job raising her girls. I think she shows class in dealing with all the haters. I don’t know that I could maintain my dignity when being confronted constantly by lies and half truths.

It amazes me that so many people want to believe everything bad that they hear about the Obamas without checking the facts. One of the things in the article that I found alarming was that the Queen Mother was participating in the snub. For those in the know, she died during Bush’s first term. Never let the facts stand in the way of good story.

But as I said, we’re stuck with both of them and for that reason and that reason only I wish they had been invited. We’ll likely get some sort of tax or new social program to off set the UK snub. Maybe the Queen and William will rethink this. After all, what could be more important than having MO in front of a camera?

And how do you know that the story is racially motivated. I don’t care what color Obama is, he has made some stupid, careless, and disastrous mistakes during his term. However, anytime he is criticized, it becomes a racist comment. And if an african-american criticizes him, that person is labeled an Uncle Tom.

Technically, he is bi-racial, but he is the one that chooses to be a “black” president. He was raised by white grandparents, but they don’t get much credit either in his writings. He uses his “blackness” when it suits him and then claims prejudice when people don’t agree with his actions which are a reflection of neither his set of genes.

Actions, or inactions, are color blind. Grow up, Mr. President, being POTUS is not a position for those with thin skin no matter what the color.

I have been to England. Wonderful country, wonderful people. As an American I was well recieved. I was in a pub when England played the US in soccer. Great humor between myself and the English about the game. The US lost.

She has absolutely no class, no upbringing and comes across as trashy. It seems that no one in MO’s corner told her about protocol, so I’m assuming they too don’t like her….or MO just does her own thing because NO ONE tells her what to do or say……Why? Because she’s MO!!

Queen Elizabeth always looks lovely in her outfits. Everything matches and she is always very well groomed.
A lesson MO should do also, but she’s not smart enough.

Great article. It looks like England, along with the rest of Europe has washed their collective hands with the “rock stars” political couple. The President and First Lady’s charisma which rocketed high and bright prior to the election is now quickly heading to a painful and embarrassing self-destruction as the their true character is revealed.

As for Michelle Obama’s supposed comments about the late Princess of Wales and her own popularity, if you believe that, I have some land in Florida I’d like to sell you. The actual information from Buckingham Palace on the Queen and Mrs. Obama is that they got along quite well and that the Queen invited Mrs. Obama to return for another, private visit when she made a later trip to the UK with her daughter. That visit was made. the iPod was chosen as a gift because the Obamas had been told that the Queen liked her old iPod. (Yes, she had one that she very much enjoyed. Her own family has said that she is tech-savvy.) The newer one the Obamas gave her was loaded with footage of her last visit to the US.

Now, we do not know who has and has not been invited to the wedding, because this is certainly information that Clarence House has not released to the press. Since the wedding will be, indeed, not a state occasion, the guest list will be small — only 600 people as compared with the thousands invited to the state wedding of Prince Charles. Given this limited number, it will make sense for few or no heads of state to be invited. If heads of state ARE to be invited, then they will likely be heads of Commonwealth countries, something that the US is not.

I think you need to educate yourself rather better on the British royal family, on the British media, and on the UK in general. You seem woefully underinformed.
