Last year’s right fielder for the Chicago Cubs, Jeremy Burnitz, was ousted due to his lack of offensive prowess. His replacement was Jacque Jones. After witnessing horrendous throws by Jones, throws that occurred all season long, fans began to suspect that something had to be physically wrong with the man. On Sunday, Jacque Jones confirmed such beliefs when he disclosed, “I played with a torn labrum and bone chips in my elbow. I’ve got to see what’s going on with that.” You think?! And wouldn’t fans think Chicago management would’ve thought about that before signing him to a lucrative contract? His offensive numbers were respectable; however, his defensive incapability’s were sole contributors to more than just a loss or two during the course of the season. Management deserves a pat on the back, for the inadequacies they’ve armed this organization with are indeed finally coming to light.
