As you alluded to, so many of these cases could be avoided if parents took basic precautions and put their children first. Obviously you can't protect your child from every danger and often someone you love and trust will betray you and your child (a priest, teacher, spouse, uncle, neighbor, etc). But knowing this man was violent and had hurt this child before places the mother squarely to blame for whatever happens to this child. Mothers, PROTECT your children. Guard them against anyone that would do them harm. Put your children first and your personal relationships second. I pray that this man will not harm this baby girl. She is absolutely adorable and my heart breaks at the thought of the fear and confusion this baby must be feeling. I'm sure she is scared and not being taken care of. God be with this child!
