Glenn Beck’s show yesterday mentioned the name of Jesus Christ as much as, if more than, any other. I once was a Christian back in the days when the social Gospel efforts were reforming this country. After theological studies here and in Britain I learned that there were many good and caring people in all our world’s major religions, but that our institutions and many self proclaimed religious were among the most dangerous operators in our globe. Check out the wars, burnings at the stake, killings by drones from on high.
I became a disbeliever who saw Jesus as one of our great men such as Socrates who were both murdered by their resentful establishments. Today whistle blowers still take great risks and they will probably do in our Wikileaks head along the way as well. Whistle blowers are hated by the rich who control all too many of our societies. The U.S. is horrendously transforming from a democratic republic to an oligarchy run by the rich in their own interest — and to hell with those in need.
If you believe that Glenn Beck or the Tea Party crowd give a damn about anything but their own interests, watch what they do — not what they say.
May our courageous and honest ones continue to speak out!

There are still so many good people doing good work. People like Jan & Simon and the good people that use this site because it speaks the truth. Their intentions are pure and this separates them from the those that throw daggers. Thanks again Ed I always come away with thoughts to ponder.
The problem is that Beck is preaching to people who don’t think foor them selves. At the moment they comparing Obama to Hitler. I was a child during worldwar 2, born in Holland and now an USA citizen. What all these people forget is, that Hitler, like Glen Beck and his friends are tsking advantage of the stupidity of people who do not think for themselves, that’s how demagoges, like Hitler are able to come to power. Hitler used relegion also to get the attention of the dumm gullible population. Obama is too much of a gentleman, he cannot bring himself to join a church, like some in the media are suggesting now, showing he’s not a muslim. Besides who cares what religion, if any , he belongs to. I am more interested in him leading this country to a better future, then his personal believes.
We are listening to Beck? Have we gotten that stupid as a nation. Hell he is nothing but a Morning Shock Jock on Fox.

His speech Saturday was of concern if you replaces the word America with “Der Fatherland.” Then you see the mans real colors.
Beck portrays himself as a ‘Christian’with his goldy words, however, people, BE CAREFUL, he is a confessed MORMON & their ‘God’ is NOT the True God of Heaven & Earth, the Heavenly Father of Jesus Christ! Glenn Beck is confusing potential Christian converts & leading them astray just like New Age Guru Oprah Winfrey did with her fan-base. She got all Spiritual for years and got away with this until recently when various Christian Pastors starting speaking out. Glen Beck is no genuine Christian. Notice there are no comments that dispute the facts that Glen Beck reports. Can you or anyone name one fact that Glen has presented on his show or in his writings that are not true? Glen is genuine and honest which is more than I can say for some bloggers on the web.
If anyone had a true grasp or knowledge of history, politics, or economics they would understand the kinship between a certain dictator and Barack Obama.

When I think of the rich who control, I think of George Soros who funded groups who in turn paid people to protest and strong arm banks to give mortgages to people who had no business having one. But to the liberal owning a home is a right. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are two of the biggest anchors on the economy. The banks who turned a blind eye and those who made those liar loans need to be prosecuted for fraud. Yet another example of not holding people responsible. This is the same reason certain bloggers do not understand the anger of being fed a false story, when they will not provide any proof that should be provided in light of their story being challenged and considering their source is anonymous.
If anyone wants to bash on Beck do it with facts and not liberal philosophical theories.
Barack Obama has set back the economy, race relations and everything he touches. He will go down in history as the worst president in history. Now that will be a story worthy of the title Crash and Burn and it will have facts to bear it out.
One can only guess how bad the mess will be that he will leave for the next president TO INHERIT.
Liberals would do best to get some help for their PALIN ENVY, their blindness to the facts and lessons history has taught us and their allergies to RESPONSIBILITY.

I think you need to google the Rev. Wright. Obama in his own words was a member of his church for 20 yrs. He has some sermons that are right up there with the hate speeches of a certain Adolph Hitler. As a side note I would either demand a refund or a refresher course from ELS.

Caligal and Anonymous clearly have no idea about what Mormons believe. To suggest that they don’t worship our heavenly father who is the father of Jesus Christ is, I believe, intentionally dishonest on their part. What hypocrites. Why post false and deliberately misleading statements? Well, the reason why is because you intentionally mean to mislead and misinform. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
And to Ed Kent who “authored” this article. Well, I wonder if you would have said the same things had Beck been, say a Muslim, and invoked the name of Allah, or a Jew and or a Jehovah’s Witness and invoked the name of Jehovah? What difference does it make what religion he is.
As you yourself suggested, watch what they do and then make your own informed decision. Which is what I do with any political party. However, I think you’ll be hard put to show me a politician (which Beck is not) or any political party that does not work in what it thinks is its “own best interest.”
Obama was a member of a church, but broke his ties with it because of an ugly commentary by a former head of it.
In all fairness when exactly did the break come? The Rev. Wrights hate speeches are memorialized by his church on audio and video tape for purchase and they had been consistently vile during the twenty years Barack Obama alleges he attended this so called church.

So many are interested in what church President Obama attends today during his presidency, for those in question, please tell me the same of George W. Bush and various other presidents. Even Bush for all the gray lines he crossed, exercised the separation of church and state (which btw our country was founded), by keeping his church life private.
If President Obama (and I truly am not trying to play the race card) had a southern accent and was born with silver spoon in his mouth, the lunacy and relentless questions, would not even be ask of him or his administration. Unfortunately he was a poor child borne of mixed race parents, and defeated every odd against him to become very successful and then president….. oh my gosh he must be a socialist.
Americans need to wake up the fact that Beck is simply another opinion pushing charlatan who is a product of mormon cult theology and he mixes this with his personal make up as a dry alcoholic. On his radio show and Fox Network program he consistent demonstrates all the unstable behaviors of a dry alcoholic which include grandiosity, judgmentalism, intolerance, impulsivity, ADD and indecisiveness. Alongside that reality, Glenn Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, has no college degree, has no qualifications and he is definitely not a true conservative. But then, what can anyone expect from someone who can’t find anything filthier than their own personal reflection. Since people like Beck cannot survive on the basis of any personal merits, they survive by putting others down with lies and half truths in order to feel good about themselves. The truth about Beck is that he a dry mormon alcoholic who never got the counseling required for alcoholics. To further complicate things and confuse people, Beck flippantly throws around Christian terms like “God”, “Jesus”,”Holy Spirit” as well as voices of other so called “Spirit Powers” on his radio talk show. Beck is a mormon in active standing with the mormon church and is not a Christian. Mormonism teaches many gods, that the god of the earth was once a man who attained godhood status, there is no trinity, the cross of Christ means nothing and that Jesus Christ and Satan were brothers. Because Beck does not possess a single ounce of journalistic integrity, he is the perfect abortion poster child for Fox Network. The people who love what Beck says are no different than the impressionable sheep who loved every speech made by Adolph Hitler in his early years when he brought Germany into an era of economic prosperity These same sheep also blindly followed Hitler into one of the darkest chapters of world history. Beck and the Fox Network both cater to the same lowest common denominator of demagoguery. Beck would not know the first thing about God as he is a mormon. Someone should ask him which of the many mormon gods he kept talking about during his argument with himself on Saturday on the square in DC. Like a typical dry alcoholic, Beck even lied on national television when he spoke about holding a document signed by George Washington. That event never took Place. Unfortunately, people who love being led around by the nose do not realize that Beck is talking about a different god than that of Christianity, Judaism or Islam and that he has been a product of mormonism cultism from the day he started doing a radio talk show as an opinion pusher. You don’t have to have a degree in psychology to see that he exhibits all the signs of a dry alcoholic. I am really amused that rather than discuss the debacle that their great savior, Obama has made of our nation, i.e. tripling our debt, creating socialized healthcare, raising taxes to unparalleled levels on the middle class, especially small business owners, refusing to do his job and secure our borders, ignoring one of the largest oil spills in history for over a month, and taking vacation after vacation after vacation, they instead, want to criticize Glenn Beck’s christianity and/or religious convictions.
