Alan Johnson, you just disqualified your comment by selecting one over the other. Fox in fact is 1000% anti Obama, so which is better? The points you make are exactly what Radulich was speaking about. If a network, be it Fox of MSNBC is going to hide behind the illusion that the are providing news rather than entertaimnent, then we all loose the ability to get real data and real facts.

Yes, many can discern what is news versus as you say propaganda but does it add any real value to public opinion. I say not, the only value it adds is ratings.

The fallacy in your comment about stupid is that you really missed the point that it can be dangerous for someone less informed than you who admittedly has experience in public affairs. You obviously have political leanings and a desire to hear the propaganda of your choice, but you must understand that it is just that -- propaganda. Many other than you make the comment that they heard it on the news, when in fact they heard it on news entertainment.

Stick with the point and maybe you too will be enlightened.

Radulch thank you for your article because you really did an unbiased service to the understanding of news versus entertainment. You chose not to choose one over the other, even though you were inclined to do so.

Are you saying that we are too stupid to figure out and filter out the commentary?

I don't think I'm too stupid. I know what is opinion and what is fact. I have worked in propaganda, I mean "public affairs", for the DoD. MSNBC does propaganda poorly. Plus they have disqualified themselves by being 1000% pro Obama.

By the way, I enjoyed Megan Kelly hammering Kirsten Powers for lying and/or being unprepared. No different than Olbermann does. Except that Powers is a pro, and should be ready.

None of these news outlets, cable or not, give every angle possible.

The liberal side is balanced out by fox, imo.

Where was the outrage from the abc, nbc, cbs over the new black panther party thug-the same one let off the hook by doj for voter intimidation, who called on black folks to kill crackers and their babies?

Fox has such superior ratings to the rest of cable-town that what they put out is reaching more people.

Good article. I don't agree wit it all, but I enjoyed reading it. Good job on the writing!
