This morning when I got my Google Alert on the Caylee Anthony murder case, I sat back and smiled. Was I surprised? No way! In fact I do believe about 2 weeks ago we discussed this on our Sunday radio show. We predicted that Andrea Lyon would drop out but our reasons are quite different from Bozo’s.
Casey Anthony is being held on charges of first degree murder with the death penalty on the table. The victim was Casey’s very own flesh and blood, a 2 year old baby girl that Casey actually gave birth to, Caylee Anthony. Jose Baez claims to be the lead attorney for Casey but is he even qualified to be the lead attorney in a capital offense case? I don’t think so! In fact I thought that was why Andrea Lyon was brought in on the case but Jose still called the shots.
The next thing we hear is that Cheney Mason was brought in. It doesn’t seem as if he has helped the case at all. I mean after all it was his pushing that ended up getting Judge Stan Strickland to step down by making accusations that were ridiculous. The funny part though is I don’t think any of the defense team expected what they were going to get in place of Strickland. They all looked like happy campers when they found out their plan worked to get rid of Strickland. The first time they appeared in court with the new judge, Belvin Perry, court was not in session for very long before we could see that annoying smirk on Bozo’s face disappear. Even Casey’s flirtatious looks were wiped off of her face. In fact she sat there with that blunt look on her face instead. It was apparent that they were not so happy with the new judge that was brought in to take over Strickland’s seat on the bench.
Now after facing Judge Perry a few times on motions to try and get the death penalty dropped, we predicted that Andrea Lyon would drop the case because she didn’t want to ruin her “perfect†record and it seems we were right except Baez is making it seem like it was for financial issues that Lyon was having. Personally I think that is a load of bull but I could never prove that. Bozo claims that Lyon does believe in Casey but she has personally made financial sacrifices, including out of pocket travel money. (Well duh! Did she really think the taxpayers would want to pay for that?) Bozo says Lyon needs to focus on her responsibilities at the DePaul law school Center for Justice.
The bottom line here is that in my opinion I am sure that she got worried that she wasn’t going to get the death penalty dropped so she decided to back out. She probably wasn’t willing to gamble on Casey being found innocent. Hopefully we all will witness the day when little Caylee Marie Anthony will get the justice she deserves by her mother being found guilty for Caylee’s murder. That baby didn’t deserve to have her life ripped away from her. She will never have the chance to wear makeup, she will never have the chance to date boys, or graduate from high school or go to her senior prom. She will never be able to get married and have a family all of her own. All this was taken from her when she lost her life.
It is so sad and what makes it even sadder is that the grandparents that seemed to love Caylee are making up lies to cover up for the very person who is probably the one responsible for taking Caylee away from them. What a sad situation this is!
May you soon get the justice you deserve Caylee, and then maybe you can rest in peace. The world loves you Caylee and we will never forget you.

Too funny. Not surprised Lyon ran or that they are making excuses for WHY she ran. I’m just curious if this is standard operating procedures for Lyon and the reason why she has such a good track record….because when the going gets tough, she gets going…right out the door. Her job was to get the DP taken off the table and that didn’t happen. Sorry Andrea…to me that is a FAILURE on your part so no more “perfect record”. LOL All of these attorneys that “bought” their way onto this case will end up with egg on their face. Their client is guilty and everyone knows it. They will probably still make a buck off selling their story and writing books…..but they aren’t going to win this case….with or without Lyon.
Granny – I don’t believe for a second that ANY of these attorneys truly believe Casey is innocent. They all jumped on board with their own agendas and to make a name for themselves along with a pocket full of cash. Their client is toast (and rightfully so) but they’ll all get rich when they sell their stories, write their books, and the movies are made. SICKENING!
Love it!It gives me more peace, and lets me relax a little. If these big time lawyers are jumping ship, they must know that Casey has not a chance in Hell to get out of this. It makes me smile for Caylee. Justice will be served, (hopefully) on a cold hard platter. I feel sorry that the only ones sticking up for Caylee are mostly ppl she never knew. I wish her family would stick up for her, and drop Casey. I do believe that Maybe George is done with her. The last letter he wrote to her about being questioned by her lawyers after her jailhouse letters came out, about the sexual mosletation claims, and alos him not showing up to court lately make me think he just might be finished.
I agree, JB. I don’t think anyone in their right mind thinks she is innocent.
I don’t know how they can defend her knowing that she is guilty unless it is for the $.
Karri – One would HOPE that Geo would take back his gonads from his wife and FINALLY stand up to Cindy AND Casey. That man takes being P-whipped to an entirely new level! I’m not sure Cindy will EVER face reality. She looks at Casey and sees herself and I don’t see her turning on herself or admitting she created this monster of a child. She’ll go to her grave in denial!
Granny – I’ve never understood why someone becomes a defense attorney. I mean, I realize some people ARE innocent but dang, the majority of the people you would defend are guilty as sin and many of them are guilty of unspeakable crimes. I couldn’t sleep at night or live with myself if I freed an obviously guilty person of murder, rape, etc. Not sure how or why these people do it. Has to be for greed!
JB, I don’t believe all defense lawyers do it for greed. Some actually believe the accused deserve a fair trial.
The problem IMO is that the law seems to allow too much trickery on the defense part (if the lawyer is the type to pull it) and puts too many restrictions on the prosecution that enable the guilty to get off.
Criminals like Bozo pretending to be a lawyer and the fame seekers and greedy ones give the rest of them a bad name – on both sides of the aisle (defense and prosecution).
I think if a lawyer is not able to get DP off the table before trial, the next chance is after conviction during the penalty phase when the mitigating factors would be presented. I believe that Lyon not only saw all the evidence piled against monster – meaning the likelihood of conviction – but also saw the extreme lack of mitigating factors. And THAT is what would ensure the needle for monster and failure for Lyon.
If money factored into this at all, I’d bet that Center for Law was not happy that Lyon spent $70,000 on THIS case and especially when Bozo had squandered $200,000. The school probably hauled her azz back home to help make up for that money and get back on track to make them look good.
I think many defence lawyers are good people who want to help people who were actually overcharged for a crime or forced into a confession or just plain innocent.
Some may start out to do good and get caught up in the greed and corruption but I really think that they are not all bad and if you ever need an attorney they sure come in handy.

I don’t think all defense atty’s are bad. I have one (public defender) in my family tree actually and he’s a real stand-up guy. I just know I personally couldn’t do it. My heart is with the victims of crimes….not those that commit the crimes. I’m grateful there are attorney’s out there because I’ve also known people, one person very close to me, who was falsely accused and lost his job, almost lost his family and was scorned in the community before the truth was finally told. I know we NEED defense atty’s. But in these high profile cases where it is obvious that the person is guilty, it is ALL about the money and fame. I don’t for a minute believe Lyon, Bozo or the rest of the merry trolls are in this because they think Casey is innocent. It is THOSE people that I question how they can sleep at night and how they can look themselves in the mirror. They KNOW they are lying, they KNOW they twist the truth, and in many cases they KNOW they are working to free a criminal who is obviously guilty. THAT is what I don’t get! HOW and WHY would they do that? I know, money and fame!
Lyon quit when she realized that nothing she said or did would convince Casey & Baez to concentrate on a winnable defense.
She is not willing to ruin HER reputation surrounded by other lawyers who knowingly defend a client who they KNOW does nothing but LIE.
And she is probably also very concerned about standing in front of a jury & being totally surprised by witnesses who disclose the TRUTH about Casey… things her client never shared with her defense team.
No halfway decent lawyer would want to defend a person they KNOW is not being honest with them. She’s smart to bow out now BEFORE Casey & Baez make her look like a complete fool.
MOTY has a court apperance tomorrow at 1:30. She must attend. Guess Lyon is in financial hardship! LOL

About the subject of this hearing – Defense wants a special magistrate to be appointed to attend when the defense experts examine the evidence and keep out the prosecution who usually attends so they don’t learn any of the defense experts secrets. Geeesh. I am so sick of the defense always whining for “speshul” treatment for this skank.

Secret witnesses, secret visitors at the jail, now secret examination of the evidence by experts. I think Bozo wants everything secret so it won’t be so apparent that he has no case!
But I wouldn’t be surprised if he has illegal tricks up his sleeve. Those pesky rules don’t seem to apply to him or Princess “Speshul.”
Well, according to Baez, the defense doesn’t want to give their plan away to the prosecution. Yet they expect complete disclosure from the prosecution. Last I checked, it doesn’t work that way.

Justice for Caylee is what this is all about. When we talk of a Defense Team for this case, we are looking at a bunch of High Powered Loser’s. I realize everyone is considered innocent until proven guilty..and everyone guilty or not, is entitled to a Defense Attorney. But how in the world does someone Defend a person that has guilt all over their face, and try to get them off so they can go back out in the world to produce more babies, and possibly do harm or kill them, much less all the lies. In this case, it appears that everyone on the Defense side, are like birds of a feather. Before Mason got on the bus, he claimed Casey was guilty, and then for some greedy reason, he changed his tune. Most likely his opinion is the same, (only in silence) but I presume he wants to retire and perhaps hoping getting his name on the bill board and sees himself in the movies, and or in a book deal. He certainly got egg on his face when he had Judge Strickland removed, and got another judge that wasn’t going to put up with his shenanigans or Boso’s. Due you think that he will eventually find a reason to jump ship? My other thought is if Casey is still claiming Zanny the Nanny took Caylee, but Bozo is trying to pin the tail on another Donkey – how is that going to work? One would think that if the Defense had another goat in mind to blame all this on, who are they going to try and catch, and who had the motive, or all the items of little Caylees that was put with her? For when Casey and Caylee left the house back in June, they didn’t take much with them. Anyway, those are just my thoughts of how the Defense is going to try and pull of this horse and pony show.
I also figure money and fame is the only reason anyone high profile gets involved with this case. Some may be truly interested to see all the facts though and at least try their hand at this job and challenge. Lyons may have realized it’s a losing battle and she did all she could do.

That was quite interesting. Whining at the good Judge will get the defense nowhere. I loved the bit Jose brought up about Casey not even being able to buy a bra without everyone knowing about it. Classy.
Casey looks so ‘happy’ for some reason. The tv clips I’ve seen lately show her laughing in court before it starts but the cameras are on and she knows it.
Doesn’t she realize that she has about 10 years left live after her auto appeals are done?
10 yrs may seem like a long time down the road for her but it will come quick.
And in the mean time, she rots in a cell. What a waste of dna, imo.

Bozo LOST everything he asked for AND now has more work to do! LOL! Making a list of all the evidence his experts need on each day and in what order – by noon next Thursday!
As much as I LOVE Judge Belvin Perry, I do wish he’d rein in Bozo a little sooner when he starts in on the big lying propaganda speech about how “victimized” his client is. Pshaw! He even complained AGAIN about being “denied” the “right” to investigate the remains site at the same time as LE! Well, gosh, Jose, if you had TOLD LE that your client told you that in fact that IS where she put Caylee’s little body, then they’d have known why you were so interested to get in there and mess things up before the remains had been identified.
Bozo takes advantage of hearings like this to make speeches in favor of his client. Judge Perry really needs to step on him next time IMO.
I think Judge Perry lets Bozo go on like he does so he can dig a nice hole-then reins him in.
It was great to see that Bozo brought up the Dr Lee/Phil Spector link. I wonder if he will still want to use Dr Lee as one of his experts?
Hi, Granny! Bozo should know about Lee’s debacle at Spector’s trial and he’s still got him as one of monster’s experts and it doesn’t look like he’s not going to use him.
Bozo is a liar and a cheat and I think he’s tickled pink to have a liar and a cheat as an “expert” witness.
It’s a testament to Bozo’s stupidity that he mentioned Lee in court today which opened the door for Linda to mention Lee’s proven untrustworthiness! LOL! I can’t wait until Lee is on the stand and the prosecution can ask him about that. It will undermine any credibility he might have with the jury!
And Granny, I think you’re right that Perry lets Bozo blather on and then puts him very nicely and firmly in his place.
I just wish Perry would really shut him up when he starts “testifying” about monster not being able to have visitors (she refuses to!) and having no privacy (no inmate does) etc.
At every hearing Bozo tries to taint the jury pool on national television.
Another interesting aspect of the departure of A. Lyon is that the trial date was set back to accommodate her schedule.
I believe it was for her daughter’s graduation early next May.
Now that she is gone does anyone think they should move the date forward? Judge Perry was in favor of starting sooner.
She bought them a little extra time and is now free and clear of the sideshow.
I had forgotten about accomodating Lyon’s schedule, thanks. Lyon’s motives on getting involved are so obvious. She is a self-serving, insincere, self-promoter. Whoever called her the Angel of Death Row except herself when she titled her own book? Leaving an innocent man in prison taints her forever, no matter how she paints it. jmo
m2c I, too, enjoy the judge putting the longwinded in their places. Baez can use more words to say nothing than, well, than Lyon could. lol I liked Strickland, but I like the new judge a bunch.
