LadySadie- if all the children were taken away from all the parents who do drugs, I don’t thinkthere would be enough Foster Homes to place all the children. It would appear that the answer would be for these parents to stop procreating until they get their acts together but there is no way to mandate it!

Thanks Jan for the article, even though its extremely sad you had to take the time out of your busy schedule to write it. It was definately warranted considering the many times someone has to sift through the “in fighting and “verbal sparring” to get to pertinent information on the case. The case should be about Haleigh, NOT the bloggers who see confrontation at every avenue and in every statement. Since there is precious few facts afforded to us by LE, then most statements are opinions. I do not agree with everyone on here, but I would not stoop to maliciously attack anyone for their opinion. This forum is about Haleigh and for Haleigh, not for the few who have to “get the last word” in. Hopefully today we can heed Jan’s advice and agree to disagree in a respectful manner. Thanks Jan and Simon for this great forum and for being the “voice” that Haleigh so desperately needs and for the bloggers that have kept her name alive on here and in your hearts.

My daughter brought home a “Bullies to Buddies” article from school that immediately made me think of us . In short:

Witnesses can be true agents of change (that’s why we’re all here, more or less?);

accepting personal responsibility for my mistakes can help me become kinder;

by widening my circle of friends, everyone can fit in at school (on this blog);

be sure to listen (read) with empathy;

do not encourage gossip or name-calling;

use a “we”approach when addressing problems;

try to avoid being defensive regarding a bullying situation…

While I’ve been really suspicious of Ron….he was a crane operator and I think his absence would have REALLY been noticed. It isn’t like he could easily step away without anyone noticing…you know what I mean? Everyone would notice the crane wasn’t operating, right? Unless he got someone to work for him and cover for him, I’d say he was there all night as he has stated…and believe me that is VERY difficult for me to concede because no one makes me more suspicious than Ronnie Boy!

I guess it depends on what time he found out there was a barge coming in that had to be unloaded. Did he know early on and mention it to Misty or Tommy when he called him? Or was it later in the night? So if they knew he was working late that pushes the time for what every happened to Haleigh till after midnite or if they didn’t know whatever happened to Haleigh happened between 10:30 (after Lindsy got home) and midnight.

in the chat room this past Sunday.. .there was someone in there that claimed to be a friend to Casey or Cindy Anthony. I consider myself still a newbie to this blog site and also the radio show. I like to chat with a few of my new friends that I have made in this chat room but it was sad that alot of that 90 minutes was so smeared buy useless drama.

Ron went into work early his job started at 5 so 8 hours would end at 1:30. He worked 1.5 hours over time. It was said he worked over because a bardge came in late. He also was working at a different job than crane operator. He was in an unsupervised area but was seen some of the night, someone said he was in the lunchroom when he usually ate elsewhere. His lawyer stated some of this on NG show. jmo

IMO – I just do not trust Ron Cummings – there is something wrong.

Stilllucy – I’m really trying to keep an open mind because ALL the players in this case are pretty suspicious and NONE of them seem to act in a way that I find normal. But Ron has always been on my radar and I can’t even completely explain why. Crystal and clan have pulled some dandy stunts too. And then you have the Croslins….sheesh….they’re like the keystone cop version of the mafia! LOL

Oh, it is going to be a long time until August 23, when Misty goes on trial for the drug stuff. I wonder how long each drug trial will take? Because after Misty’s is over, if there is still no arrest, that is when I will really be sure that the mom’s family took her. It has been way too long since the St. John’s River search and nothing again!!

Cate – yes, I was really thinking we’d have answers by now. After the river search and SH’s comments about arrests being made shortly, I thought they had their answers. Now it is WAY too quiet, no new info, no new tapes, no press releases, nothing, zip, zilch…. I’m starting to wonder if our precious baby will ever receive justice.

Stilllucy – well, I think Granny had more teeth than Lisa but Tommy is a little bit like Jethro when I stop and think about it! I’m trying to picture Misty with blonde hair, daisy duke shorts tied with a rope and cooking up a batch of her easy mac version of the famous Ellie Mae biscuits! LMAO

Every single one of them has said or done something that was SO disrespectful, so downright WRONG on every level that I think it makes me more suspicious of them. I remember on Nancy Grace how discusted I was when Granny Hollars intimated that Haleigh was sexually defiled by her two grandsons… what the?! rons attorney was talking plea deal, I don’t think the d/a ever responded.

I’ve always thought the possiblity of Ron getting a plea deal were about the same odds of him being a “character witness” for Hope.

One explanation for R’s attorney announcing that R was going to provide testimony for a plea deal MIGHT have been to scare someone else into thinking that R was giving info about drugs or Haleigh so that THEY would jump in and try to beat him to it – they’d give info to LE in exchange for a deal.

R could have been a willing participant OR LE could have used him to play one person off another, you know? It’s just an idea. I think one of the reasons for the drug sting was to try to squeeze info out of somebody either about higher ups in the drug biz or about Haleigh and this is one way LE could try to do it. Again, just an idea.

JB I thought Ron was doing like the Anthony’s and not having any jail house visits or making calls….which I shared on this blog, however someone else told me that wasn’t true. I could swear I heard his attorney say they he was declining all visits/calls based on the attorney’s advice, because he (the atty) was not happy about the jailhouse interview and the conversation with tn about the “snitch”. Unfortunately I can not find any of this in print now, so apparently it made sense to me so I decided it was fact

I have no idea of why none of his tapes are being released, because personally, I think he and his side of the family are much better actors than the Croslins.

I also wonder why Tommy’s UC drug sting tape has never been released. What do you think, please?

JB, I wasn’t saying the attorney was knowingly saying something without R’s knowledge or agreement (that’s against the rules) and especially if it’s something untrue. Either R knows, is in on it, or LE is playing R and his lawyer. Just possibilities.

Hope mf’s her mother, her family and is in a horrible mood, just an insufferable brat (I still think the 15 yr sentence was ridiculous tho) and then when she starts talking about Ron it was like he was some kind of “Don” of the family or major celebrity…it made me uncomfortable just listening to it.. I agree with most of what you said, mrsm. If I got a call like that in the middle of the night I could grab a photo from my bedroom, kitchen and/or living room on the way out the door. If a child goes missing that’s one of the first thing LE needs.
I’ve even got photos of my pets in case one of them decides to take themselves off on a jaunt without me.
I’m not sure about the covering mode though. I think arriving on the scene she would not suspect her son of anything so that seems natural to me. Do you mean later on some time?

m2c- The strange thing about TN taking the picture is that she said she thought HaLeigh was hiding! Why would you need a picture to hind a child that was hiding?

Alexandria, you’re right but it probably wasn’t the only thing she was thinking. And if the search went into the next day, then LE might need to be able to find Haleigh in a group of other kids somewhere – possibly. Like if she crawled out of a shrub to join some kids playing or whatever. To me it was a simple, smart very basic common sense thing to do. But that’s jmo.

I don’t know why it took Crystal so long to get her behind there when she found out her child was missing. I don’t know why they lied about Chad’s whereabouts. I don’t understand the whole “fake search” thing AT all. I don’t understand Ron marrying Misty, or why he then divorced her but continued to hang out with her, I don’t understand Ron’s comments about the rat…it being a test for Misty…to see how she acts when she lies….I don’t understand why Misty’s story changes so much or why Tommy’s story has changed so much. OJ- You think Ron will take the 25, when his lawyer said 15? My thought was he too may take it to trial. If he does and they are tried together, I think Misty will go down hard just for being with him! She should take a plea.

I do not see anything wrong with TN grabbing a photo of Haleigh. If I recall correctly (and I may be wrong) Ron was on the phone with his mother while Misty was making the 911 call. They all were probably hoping Haleigh was playing hide and seek but no one calls 911 without thinking something was very wrong. Ron was not clearly thinking as anyone can hear his rants on the 911 call so TN probably knew a picture would be needed and brought one with her. I commend her for this thinking as it could very well delay getting word out to the media without this picture. Just my opinion though.

Robin- I still think Ron should have had a least one picture of his daughter in the home. Just seems strange to me that TN wouldn’t think there was one there!

I’m agreeing with what was said earlier about perhaps he gave a name or two LE didn’t want public for some investigative issue.

The initial calls where misty agrees to deal will be the key to her defense, imo.

Those tapes of misty, ron and hope together will be hard to overcome.

I have no idea if Ron had pictures in his home or not. Believe me I wondered that myself. But Ron sounded beside himself in that 911 call (whether staged or not) and maybe the 911 operator told them not to touch anything in the MH (which would be protocol I would think). TN (maybe in her dispatcher experience) knew a picture might very well be needed so she brought one just in case. I think for an Amber Alert to be issued a recent picture would be needed (my opinion only) and TN grabbed one so as not to delay.

m2c, i’ve been in and out workin on a paper. I’m not sure how or when TN might have found out what happened, it just seems to me she and her boy are tight tight tight, and her jail conversation was suspicious. She seemed to be leading him to say what she wanted him to get out there. However, i just dont think that means she was in on it from the start and coaching the 911 call etc. It seemed pretty genuine to me. Let me clarify that by saying i think Ron and Misty sounded sincere in thier distress. That DOES NOT mean they were not in some way culpable.

but i do think that for someone who worked with LE, as a dispatcher yet, it is not strange to me at all that she would grab a photo off the wall and her LE jacket on her way out her door. SHe knows the pic will be needed if indeed Haleigh is missing, and she knows if there is a crowd of people at the “crime scene” she will get through easier with her LE jacket. JMHO

That has always seemed like a no brainer to me Alex. When i was little my dad’s best friend was a retired firechief. He always went to fires like he was supporting the team, and he always wore his old fire department windbreaker so he could get through the crowd and be easily identified as someone “OK” to be crossing the line.

It is illegal to mislead anyone into believing that you are a sworn officer! Her jacket looked to be the kind that are available for Purchase, not Issued a VERY BIG DIFFERENCE! And besides that, thought she no longer worked there, was she still employed at that time?

I see just about everyone involved as suspicious in one way or another, but not always for the same reason others do. For example, i dont think it is that telling that CS went back to sleep after she got the call. I’m betting she’d been thru plenty of antics thru the custody fight with Ron and half asleep may have dismissed it as more BS. That is not to say i have eliminated CS as a suspect. I mean what was the thing about her pretending to rescusitate Haleigh after finding her floating????? Seems like there is a major vendetta there and bitterness against one’s ex can make a person do crazy things.

BA i think she was a part of the “good ol’ boy network” and not still being employed by LE was a technicality. She probably had beers at the VFW with these boys every wing nite. (JMO) If she was familiar with even half the force no one would say anything about her showing up in an LE jacket. Its normal. Lots of people especially in small towns wear firefighter or sherriff gear. Ever attend a “turkey shoot” LOL JMO

Hi everyone. I just stepped over to the new blog. Jan, thank you for writing what you did. I noticed that some still feel they have to get the last word in on how they were the victim, blah, blah. That’s truly what keeps it going a lot of the times. I hope that person sees who they are.

However, its really great to keep reading everyone’s theories and information. I knew nothing about a chair in the woods, but posted a theory on the other blog about Haleigh could of been being watched for days, weeks, etc. playing outside with the kids.

I don’t think Misty or Ron had anything to do with the actual dissapearance of Haleigh. I think Ron protected Misty from getting unfairly attacked. Misty however, is hiding something about that night and I think it is about who was in the MH. Whether she was doing a drug and strangers were over, or she had someone(s) over for a party that night, or whatever, but bottom line, she didn’t know who it was, but did not want to admit to Ron she had people over without his permission!

I have several other theories too which I have posted throughout, so sorry if no one agrees, but they are something to think about.

I even said that we should think outside the box by looking at the back door being propped open by Tommy and Joe to make Ron think there was a robbery when they came for his gun. They got high and left it that way. Misty didn’t know about it, and assumed it was that way from whoever took Haleigh. So in reality, the door may of had nothing to do with Haleigh at all.

i have always thought the shell harbor dock was a red herring thrown out by TC and MC to frame JO. But wouldnt LE think the same thing? Why spend so much money and resources to do the search and announce the case a homicide if it was another goosechase? to save face? Do they really believe TC? They must! What else would they base homicide on at that point in time?

Yea, Joran will be in the news media home and abroad. Like Casey Anthony. I hope everyone tells us how the case is unfolding. I go back and forth. The last few days I’m going for stranger abduction & law enforcement with blinders on.

yes, i’m very close to Satsuma. MC and TC are in the jail 5 min from my house.

Even if LE does not pay attention to the blog’s I let PCSO know of my interest in the progress of the case by emailing Sheriff Hardy every other week asking for an update on any progress. I usually just get the standard, this is an active ongoing investigate and no details can be released at this time, but at least he knows someone is still following the case.

it is not on the news daily thats fer sure. Havent heard anything since shell harbor…my neighbors dont even know what i am talking about when i mention the case

this may sound totally bizarre, but if I was in Florida.. I would scope out these areas of interest… study the case IMMENSELY with all information that there was.. and then just see what fits and what doesn’t as far a time lines, etc….

I have heard that about snakes getting in through screens. Last trip to Orlando on a plane person sitting next to me shared that when she moved from Illinois, she was clueless. Didn’t know there was a season when they reproduced or whatever.. and one day she went down the stairs and had several in her kitchen that had come in thru a screen door…

Not sure what you are talking about bio..These are old bond amounts since he’s pled guilty to all charges and then one that was zero bond he got timed served. I don’t even know why they are still showing up that way..

JenM- I am an RN and we cannot write prescriptions- Nurse Practioners can but they are limited in what they can write!

the next date for the divorce is the 29th. If he’s not contesting anything he doesn’t even need to be at the proceedings.

In my experience, we never would have transported an inmate for a divorce proceding. The attorneys would handle everything, paper work filed without being present. I don’t recall a civil action, such as this, ever requiring the transport of an inmate incarcerated on a feloy criminal charge.

One of my best friends had to get a divorce from her husband while he was locked up on a felony. He never was transported to court. She had to go though. They took his statements, etc., but granted the divorce to her. She said (and I don’t know if this is really fact) that the court said because he was in jail on a felony and looking at serving time for awhile, that it was reason to grant the divorce, period.
That was not in Fla. though, but not sure if that matters or not.

JenM- I understood that the family member was an LPN, not someone who could write priscriptions but if they worked in an office with samples, I could see that occuring!
In CA even the NPs & PAs (Physician Assistants) are limited in what they can prescribe. Though on the military bases here they can both prescribe as long as its filled at the base.
With all the druggies involved in this case I wouldn’t prescribe them an aspirin!
Now in CA when you go to the hospital or doctor’s office you must show a picture ID along with your insurance card. Even when you are paying cash they want a picture ID. This started November of last year! It’s a hassle!

Heck, I wouldn’t even give them an aspirin out of my medicine cabinet, for fear they would sell it to someone claiming it was a narcotic and it traced back to me.

Maybe they have a family member or friend that works for a drug company and is a rep who gets free samples? Don’t know.

Also, there are a lot of ‘good intention’ people who believe that children don’t need meds and that the Lord can heal them, etc. I mean forget giving them blood when they are bleeding to death or chemo when they will die without it. There are those people out there, so maybe someone like that has her???

JenM: From what I’ve heard, HaLeigh was using inhalers and had a pulmo aid machine for breathng issues. Although, I don’t believe she used it for preventative, just as a prn. There was also talk that she would need hormones or steriods in the future for growth due to her condition.
That’s all that I remember.

JenM- I never heard what it was but that it was an inhaler! There are many types of those! and some are rather expensive so again onless they had money or samples they would have to use her insurance card to get it!

I still question why she would be taken +’ junior left behind if it was some type of drug retaliation. So either stranger abduction or sexual assault abduction. I would wonder why Tommy or JO would sexual assault a child suddenly. I know that they may have been screwed up on drugs but they don’t have a history of it that we know of. I’m sure someone hear has checked this out. The other possibility is an accident. What type of accident? Accidental drug poisoning or purposefully drug poisoning? I can’t think of any other scenario.

ITA re Marie. She is at the top of my list (with Chad) with Tommy and/or Joe & strangers close behind. The other video which had me highly suspicious of her is the video where she is being interviewed, and during the interview, the LE come along and take Chad into custody and she is asked about whether or not that worries her. I thought she looked VERY worried.

I think unless she’s offered a pretty good deal she will go to trial too. If she beats the big charge (the final purchase from the cop in the car) she might not do much time at all. I wonder why Ron has a separate trial? Where I live they would be tried together unless you could establish a good reason as to why they shouldn’t be.

I think PCSO is hoping just the fact she’s locked up will satisfy the public and let them keep their jobs without the need to solve Haleigh’s case. And it seems many people are happy enough with the outcome. Very sad. I do hope they let new LE in so Haleigh can be found because I think PCSO has proved themselves incapable of solving it. Or they’ve been outwitted by Misty for 18 months, which I find near impossible to believe, and if they have been, it sure doesn’t make them look any more clever.

That would be something to witness, if the LE can be bamboozled by a then 16 yr old, with grade 5,I would turn in my badge,I can’t even comprehend that, but she is pretty quick, and can keep her focus, we seen this in the phone call, when she is talking to her Dad, and he is telling her about the letter, and he is going on and on,and out of no where, she say’s, who is they? I think, the only thing Misty is guilty of, is not being home that night, and doesn’t want to say,or ever admit to, because it caused HaLeigh to be taken,I think she came in not long before Ron came home,went to check on the kids and noticed HaLeigh was gone and then the plan went in motion,if I remember correctly the first person she phoned then was her Mom.

The brother of the woman called the key to solving the Haleigh Cummings disappearance is back in the Putnam County Jail.

Hank �Tommy� Croslin Jr. has been held in the St. Johns County Jail in St. Augustine since he and four others were arrested on drug charges earlier this year. He was brought back to Putnam County on Wednesday night.

He pleaded no contest three weeks ago to trafficking in hydrocodone.

St. Johns County was holding Croslin at the request of Putnam Sheriff Jeff Hardy so he would not be with others jailed in the case held in custody in Palatka.

�Now that he has pleaded and is scheduled to be sentenced soon, it�s my decision that it�s appropriate to bring him back to this jail,� Hardy said.

Croslin is slated to be sentenced in Putnam County Circuit Court on July 6, said sheriff�s office spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood.

Tommy Croslin has been brought back to Putnam to await his July 6th hearing. you can read this @ Palatka Daily News. Tommy and Ron are at the same jail now.
Primatene Mist is sold over the counter and it for Asthma. It comes in pill form and inhaler. It can be used by children as well as adults. It is kept behind the counter; not on the shelf.

LS: Bronchial dialators use to be available over the counter, not sure if they are anymore with all the issues these days. I can’t even purchase sudafed without an ID check here.
Someone had mentioned earlier, if you really would need an inhaler in Florida and the answer is HE77 yes! The humidity makes the air so heavy that if you have asthma, it’s very difficult to breath.

me,TJ Hart reprted the 8:30pm call as well as a few others including A.H. Everyone was up in arms due to the fact it was the first time we heard about an argument transpiring between Ron and Misty. Tommy’s wife’s name is Lindsy, and she was in classes that night, how would they have been going out to celebrate?

Alexandria, apparently Haleigh’s asthma was bad enough that she at times needed a nebulizer machine.

LS is more than likely right on with Tommy’s move. Since his cases have been satisfied, St John’s county would move him to the county that has existing charges. All correctional facilities do that. Creates more space for other inmates and saves that county the expense of holding an inmate.
Last I heard Ron was in general population, I’m sure that Tommy will be in protective custody @ Putnam County as well.

Tex, That could very well of been what the arguement was over. Tim and Chelsea wanted to go out for their anniversary and Ron told Misty no. Perhaps that was the real reason Chelsea was mad at Ron that Monday.

Someone was asking the other about Crystal making complaints to DCF on Ronald. I just found an article done April 27th, 2009. My interview with TJ Hart, by Simon Barrett. TJ states that there were a handful of open cases before Haleighs disappearance, due to crystal trying to regain custody of her children.

Alexandria, Timmy was housed at the St. John’s Detention Center because Putnam’s was over crowded at the time of his arrest and the two counties are neighboring and will do that sometimes for each other.

IMO the crime seems to be to perfect to have been committed by the Croslins. IMO they are not the sharpest tools in the shed and would not of been so throughly in their cover up and staging to have fooled LE. WhyLie, I agree with you that if this has anything to do with the drug theory Kristina Prevatt may have knowledge or involvement. Joe Pytko arrested 6/18/09 released 7/30/09. Rumor went through Satsuma. Kristina arrested 7/4/2009 released 7/5/09 and on 8/11/09 Kristina arrested again and not released until 10/16/09. Tommy Croslin arrested around the 15th of Sept and released the 24th of Sept. During this time we have two different accounts that both state Haleigh OD. The pond drained on the 21st of Sept. Kristinas 2 letters released from behind bars talking about the allegations that her car was used to carry Haleigh to the dump site and disposed of by WBG.jmo

I hope so too. Otherwise I’m afraid that’s going to be the end of it. End of the investigation. End of ever finding out what happened to Haleigh. IMO the only purpose in the drug sting was to get those people in a position to squeeze info from them. And so far it seems it hasn’t worked. So LE’s out of luck (and so is Haleigh) if nothing comes of this.

CathyJo the checks did exist. I saw them posted on the A.H. site. You could read where they were from( Texas) but blocked the name on the checks for personal protection.

Although, if Crystal’s child support debt was “erased” and not actually paid, would CFS/CPS/DCF have had to “cooperate” with the erasure? Or does it become a criminal matter after so much debt accrues and at that point child services defers to LE?

As I’ve said before I think the drug sting was to sqeeze the truth out of these people and there is no point in trying to do that if LE is not willing to offer a good enough deal for the truth. What happened to Haleigh has got to be more important than drug offenses. For example, with her current charges M’s looking at a max of what? 75 or 100 years? Well a smart cop and state attorney would say, tell us what happened to Haleigh, even if you killed her, it would be manslaughter 10 years, we’ll deal the drugs down to 15 (or 25) so all you’re looking at is 25 years. Otherwise we’re going to go for the full 75 – 100 on the drug charges. (That’s just an example and same could be applied to Tommy and R).

LE has got to make it worthwhile for someone to tell the truth. Otherwise this is a totally useless exercise as far as Haleigh is concerned.

Haleigh’s father Ronald Cummings had a fight with then babysitter -now bride Misty Croslin-Cummings at about 8:30 the night the child was abducted. That fight took place over the phone while Cummings was at his job at PDM near Palataka, FL.

Ronald’s work hours that night were 4pm to 3am. Law officers and officials at PDM both state that Ronald was present and accounted for that night. Telephone records and cell phone pings lend strong support to those statements by law enforcement and PDM.

Later in the conversation, I asked Miller to verify Ronald Cumming’s timeline. Miller stated that Ronald told him and Orlando attorney Mark Nejame that he did have an argument with Misty on the telephone while he was at work at PDM. I asked Miller if Ron worked from about 4pm to 3am and he responded that Ron’s time card is verified and that he had punched in and out as usual.

Miller also stated that Ron’s timeline is also supported by the fact that he was seen on a convenience store surveillance video just after 3am buying beer, cigarettes and peanuts.

I don’t think we’d have what we have to go on, without what they have said while behind bars. Does that solve the case? No, not yet, maybe never, but they were dealin and LE got wind of it and stung them like they do all around the country. I doubt it was either of the 5′s first time selling drugs to another person.

Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time, imo.

We’ll see if there is a trial if anything improper was done to misty by le and 12 people in florida will decide and I’ll be fine with it.

I predict is misty loses, proponents will call for an appeal, yada, yada, yada…which we can follow as well should it be granted.

Croslin back in Putnam custody-Sentencing on drug charges set for July 6

The brother of the woman called the key to solving the Haleigh Cummings disappearance is back in the Putnam County Jail.

Hank �Tommy� Croslin Jr. has been held in the St. Johns County Jail in St. Augustine since he and four others were arrested on drug charges earlier this year. He was brought back to Putnam County on Wednesday night.

He pleaded no contest three weeks ago to trafficking in hydrocodone.

St. Johns County was holding Croslin at the request of Putnam Sheriff Jeff Hardy so he would not be with others jailed in the case held in custody in Palatka.

�Now that he has pleaded and is scheduled to be sentenced soon, it�s my decision that it�s appropriate to bring him back to this jail,� Hardy said.

Croslin is slated to be sentenced in Putnam County Circuit Court on July 6, said sheriff�s office spokesman Lt. Johnny Greenwood.

Croslin is the older brother of Misty Croslin, who was babysitting Haleigh Cummings when the child vanished in February 2909.

Both Croslins were arrested in January after an undercover investigation into illegal sales of prescription painkillers. Others jailed after the probe include Haleigh�s father, Ronald Cummings, his cousin Hope Sykes and Donna Brock, an Orlando woman who had befriended Misty Croslin.

Putnam investigators, frustrated with what they described as Misty Croslin�s inconsistent accounts of what happened the night Haleigh disappeared, have said she had information that could solve the case.

Sheriff Hardy said recently that authorities believe Haleigh is dead and that she was killed.

The latest search for Haleigh�s body or clues to her disappearance was in April in South Putnam County.

Teams of divers accompanied by local, state and federal authorities converged on the Shell Harbour boat ramp to the St. Johns River off County Road 309 � a neighbor where the Croslins used to live.

The three-day search ended April 15.

Last Monday, the sheriff�s office confirmed a human bone found during the search of the river bottom was determined to be from a Native American and was too old and large to be Haleigh.

�Uncovering bones belonging to Native Americans is not uncommon in this area due to the large number that once settled here,� Greenwood said in a statement.

Greenwood also said the Haleigh case was still an active investigation.

�Specific information regarding items recovered during searches, or the details of forensic examinations, cannot be discussed at this time,� he said.

Haleigh was reported missing at 3:27 a.m. on Feb. 10, 2009.

No trace of the blond-haired 5-year-old has been found, despite massive searches by law enforcement officers and volunteers. Haleigh�s disappearance initially was termed a child-abduction case.

Then 17-year-old Misty Croslin was dating Haleigh’s father, Ronald Cummings, and was babysitting Haleigh the night she went missing.

Croslin, now 18, told deputies she put Haleigh to bed just after 8 p.m. and went to bed herself a couple hours later. Croslin said she awoke around 3 a.m. to use the restroom when she noticed the kitchen light on, the door propped open with a cinder block and Haleigh gone.

Haleigh’s father, 26-year-old Ronald Cummings, was returning from his night-shift job at PDM Bridge in Palatka when the child was reported missing.

A month later, Croslin and Cummings married at his grandmother’s house in Welaka. They divorced seven months later.

There is no question that the drug trafficking are criminal acts. But these are three of the key players in Haleigh’s disappearance (or at least M is if LE is being truthful and if they’re right).

So there is no use in having them in jail – as far as Haleigh is concerned – except to squeeze them for the truth. Otherwise LE could even watch these people and wait for one of them to make a mistake and let the cat out of the bag or LE could pursue other theories.

If no info about Haleigh comes from this, then (IMO) there is no hope for Haleigh because LE will not pursue this.

The death penalty wouldn’t apply for Misty, she was under 18 when the crime occurred and so she is exempt from the death penalty.

Jail tapes have been a huge topic, right?

I know you’ve put in tons of hours discussing them as well as others.

Wouldn’t have that if they weren’t in jail. Has it found haleigh? No, but it hasn’t stopped anyone from picking the tapes apart. I’m cool with that. Love to read and discuss them, myself.

If we don’t get an official word about what happened to HaLeigh then I think that it is more than reasonable to decide that she was taken by the maternal family and cannot be returned due to national attention.

In which case HaLeigh is most likely way better off than was before, imvho. In that case, it is the people of Putnam County who lose, being “protected” by corrupt LE, and the feds better get there quick! (Not saying, YET, that PCSO is corrupt, I’ll leave that up to CathyJo and vaq .)

Although I have started to read some of the comments on Topix and wow, do they have things to say about PCSO… who seems to have been doing “business as usual” until the internet came along!

I agree that Misty and Ron and the rest of the Faux Fab Five should do their time for the drug dealing. And they also should have been wiser about knowing that they were on the radar of the entire nation.

Just so they get fair sentences relative to anyone else committing those types of crimes.

The bail was set high so that they couldn’t bond out but that is fine since their time served will contribute to their total time.

On the other hand, too much of their time in jail has been about creating the appearance that they are guilty, especially when you throw in “Judge” Nancy DisGrace!!

LadySadie @ 1:08 – IMO the drug charges do have something to do with Haleigh because I’m hoping that Haleigh is PCSO’s TOP priority. If locking up any one of those people could hinder the investigation of her case, then they could have and should have waited. Kidnapping and murder of a child trump drug charges – especially these penny ante low level dealers.

Another example, there has been a string of rapes happening in a city all within a 2 mile radius. All the victims are between the ages of 25-30, all are red heads with blue eyes between the heights of 5’3″ to 5’5″. All the rape kits come back and the DNA is all of one person. The police have a suspect, but that suspect has never been arrested before and they are not in the DNA database. So the police decide to use a policewoman as a decoy but she has blonde hair so they put a red wig on her and she hangs around that 2 mile radius. The suspect grabs her and they arrest him. Should they not be allowed to take a DNA sample from him because they used a police decoy in a sting to catch him? If they do take an DNA sample and it is a positive match for all 5 of the real rapes should they not be allowed to charge him with the 5 real rapes because they used a police decoy in the sting to catch him? Did they “entrap” him by sending a police decoy into the known area that the rapes have been happening?

I think the debate point is what was the real impact on the Haleigh case of the drug sting.

Everyone here cares more about Haleigh than drug trafficking but we don’t have anyone charged in her disappearance just theories we all have based on our interpretation of what we can believe is fact.

None of that has proven any of us right or wrong at this point.

I can just hope along will all of you that we get Haleigh facts that give her peace.

I would imagine that le knows by now that if they were going to get answers from any of these people, they would have them already. but the mistakes have been made…what can be done to rectify it now? You can’t just let them go, they may not be any closer to solving the Haleigh case, but do we know that yet? I guess I wouldn’t jump to conclusions yet… espesially since le already tried that and it didn’t work. Maybe, just maybe they have a trump card somewhere up their sleeve (or elsewhere) that we don’t know about yet. All we can do is hope and pray that something good comes from this terribly tragic set of circumstances. and M2c, I too will refuse to let le off the hook at this point. Nobody in this case, whether it be le or any of those in jail deserves a free pass on this one until Haleigh is brought home.

Those dvd’s were stolen recently. My security cam caught only a glimpse of the perp. It was either ronbo, or britneys ex, kevin federline, aka kfed.

We are still investigating. Trying to rule out ron first. His alibi seems pretty solid.

Then I guess I will still be emailing Sheriff Hardy regularly asking him what he is doing as far as the investigation goes. All that I personally able to do is let LE know that there is at least one person out here that expects them to do their job and continue investigating until they get an answer.

Alex per Rons attorney on NG stated that Ron was not operating the crane that night. He had to move items from one side to the other of PDM. This is how I heard that Ron was not doing his normal job that night.

Alex, With lawyers I always listen for what they arent saying. And Rons lawyer is real good at avoiding the major questions. What ever happened to the fund to get a PI? That never even got started, because they never intended to do it. It was also his lawyer that made the statement that LE told them to plan a funeral. I plan on listening real close to what the lawyers say and dont say. jmo

Dreamfinder..that does look like Kyron in the car, the family has just released lots of new pictures and a video of Kyron,do you belong to Missing Kyron Horman,you should check it out, the guy in the plaid shirt has been identified, I just went and looked, but I didn’t see where they said about the one behind the bookcase, the second one you posted almost looks like a dark skinned woman driving, Terri has a 16 yr old son,there is somebody with Kyron looking at something in front of the Christmas tree, that made my heart skip a beat,not sure how old the picture is,but just go check it out and maybe post your car picture on the site.

Question: If Marie owned that vehicle, why did it end up with Ron? How could he re-license the vehicle or even have insurance on it, if it were still in Marie’s or Crystal’s name? Why would they leave it with him? When was the last time that Ron and Crystal were living together? Was it after 2007? Little tid bits always seem to slip out, and the reality begins to sink in.. There is far more to the story of crystal and ron than we have ever been told.. And I agree with Jan, Chloe nor Junior belong in Crystals custody, its very clear that Marie is taking care of Chloe, and I suspect she takes care of Junior also.. As well, Haleigh nor Junior should have been in the custody of Ron… This hurts my heart to realize, DCF failed all three of those Children. I heard that the way it was done, was creating a basis of evidence against the parent, so that when they did take the children from the home they would have all of their evidential ducks in a row.. Problem, with that.. the children were still being exposed to their normal – abnormal lifestyles, and it resulted in the disappearance of a child. And for ron’s co-operation with DCF, is quite Odd and questionable, since they had ordered in November or December that Misty could not be anywhere around Junior, yet for two weeks prior to the arrest of both she and ron, she was staying at the house with ron and junior?? So, many secrets are kept, not to be told.. I have come to one conclusion.. Anyone that comes online and tells a truth, will immediately be attacked, that’s one method of determining the truth.. And many rumors have actually been proven out.. called lies, yet in the end are proven out.
One issue has began to make my stomach hurt, the thought that if Haleigh is alive and well, and is happy and safely hidden away.. That if she were found, they would have to bring her home to live in the muck she was rescued from. And thats what would happen, right now she would go to Crystal.. And if Ron didn’t go to prison and she were found, she would be returned to him, and his lifestyle.. DCF and the court would go with DCF recommendations, and since he has legal custody of her, if he were out both children would go back to him, until DCF would decided they have enough evidence to remove them.. Therefore, I hope she is never found, and that she can grow up to have a normal life.. And its too bad that Junior and Chloe cannot be salvaged from the muck before something happens to one of them.
