I have no comments at this time. What I do have are a pile of audio tapes. They were the easiest to get online. The DVD’s will take some more time. We have another 5 DVD’s to deal with. Anyway, this is what we do have rendered. These calls are curious, and well worth listening to.

I can’t offer any real scrutiny about these calls, in fact I have not even have a chance to really listen to the calls.
Take them for what they are. This is the raw stuff. Tommy is told by his father that Lindsey told him the cops think that Tommy helped dispose of the body!
This is raw material. One has to wonder what else there is. Tommy claims to have seen Haleigh in the van that Joe was driving!

An orchestrated effort by the Croslin family to collectively point the finger at someone (anyone!) else. My gut says that Joe is a red herring that got tossed out there as a diversion, a person to be sacrificed to get them off the hook. Only time will tell, though. kh
I’m only on the 1st one and I already believe it. It sounds like Tommy is referring to the 5pm meeting as the come to Jesus meeting, Imo.
That Joe is crazy, Hank even states he was in an “insane asylum” (hate that term) but that goes along w/that alledged dx of Schiz.
His myspace (not the 1st one with him posing holding a gun) this is the 2nd one, his last entry was on 3-08-2009, has the creepy large pic of the assault gun/revolver and the word “punishment” right above it; also there’s a cross on top of the gun.
Then one of the cousins has on their page headline about “should have known he was crazy and so he did it; and he’s crazy etc..something like that.
And why does one of the cuz’s have a picture of Haleigh’s head pasted on a passenger in a red suv? Now that’s too way out there weird. and it says look for me I could be in the car right next to you.

I don’t necessarily believe all of what Tommy is saying in Tape 1, but something about his dejected tone sounds believable. Could just be that he’s upset about his situation with Lindsy, but he sounds uber-depressed.

Well I skipped all the way to tape fifteen. The police don’t believe a single word of the latest lie , as do I. The brother sounds so dejected that he couldn’t even come up with a believable lie. I think the only truth about the lastest lie is Haleigh’s body was disposed in the river , just not there at that dock.

Yall kind of have to think out of the box on the Joe thing. Sometimes, when someone is like a timebomb and thug like and nuts, u kind of just tolerate him and hope he doesn’t get pissed off at you….then take a deep breath once he’s gone…no one wants to piss him off, look at Joshua, he has a tear tatoo by his left eye, that means he murdered someone.
And everytime they write in code, it’s = crips.
These people live off of drug dealings/thefts/and trades….I think they are worse than we realize.

A really weird thing about all their myspace pages is they all intertwine with the same emotion around the time of the Haleigh disappearance. Someone named na52 or something like that even left a weird message. These are surely not coincidental.
Kristy Overstreet had a lg lag in her entries b/w jan and march, and all other entries were consistent w/2x a month. Someone blogged that where are u, havent seen you in so long. In all her pics, Joe is right next to her.
Aunt Vicky mentioned that Joe Overstreet was drunk when he met with detectives in Nashville and that he answered No Comment to all questions per his attorney. Joe, IMO, has the best attorney of them all.

Early on, Joe was supposedly in Crescent City BEFORE HE WENT TO SATSUMA….okay, so who lived in Crescent City…Chelsea and Timmy. but early on it was stated he was there for about a month before Haleigh’s disappearance.
That would give him enuf time to get involved in some drug dirty deals and get stupid and greedy then go run to satsuma.
Again, folks, read my previous post, as Dallas says also, it’s not someone’s size, it’s their STATE OF MIND, and if your a dope head and high on whatever, you are way out of your impulse control. You feel high and mighty, and like you have magical powers when ur on that stuff.
Ron prolly beat Joes azz and Joe got his magical power syndrome on after taking who knows how many pills and coke!! It seemed to me that in tape 1 Tommy mentioned seeing Haleigh in the van, but NOT her present state, dead or alive….then says he doesn’t know what Joe did with her….I’m convinced he took her back w/him to Tn, then panicked, and the only way he could get himself clean was to get rid of the evidence, cuz it had gotten to the public media….so he freaked and killed Haleigh.
Joe never thought his kidnapping Haleigh for revenge on Ron would have ever made it to the public eye. When it did, he went psycho and had to get rid of her.
Ron never said anything and denied the gun stuff cuz he prolly knew Joe had Haleigh, and he didn’t want Joe to get scared cuz he knew he would go crazy and hurt Haleigh.
Ron was only trying to play hush hush so Joe wouldn’t think Ron was ratting him out.

My sister had a small boyfriend when we were teens. Four big guys started with him, he took on all four of them, holding the third guy to the floor with his foot to his face asking the fourth guy what he wanted to do. They all took off. It was quite surprising to say the least.

Maryd–Tommy asks Hank Sr about Lindsy having another man and said he heard it from Flo. Hank Sr said he asked Lindsy and she said no that she had no time for that. Do you think Lindsy would tell her father in law the truth about that? I would think that would be one of the last people I would tell. I think Tommy is distraught and I believe (just my opinion) that he will commit suicide if he gets a lengthy sentence. I don’t think he is coping too well with Lindsy avoiding his calls and his kids not being able to visit. With that said, I do not feel sorry for Tommy. He definately has impulse control issues and addiction problems. He let this take over his life and continued to make bad decisions, without thinking of the consequences it will have on his family. He has a very narcissistic attitude (especially telling Hank he needs to get his shit together considering he is in jail and probably headed for prison–is that a great life plan?) He needs a psych exam immediately. JMO

The policemen didn’t have a chance.The two were carrying AK 47 They shot the police and they couldn’t move then shot They then shot them in the head so they can’t have an open casket. My son was in acadamy with one afew years ago.Another one he had worked with was at lunch.There are at least 5 little ones without a Daddy tonight.Would you please pray for them. Maryd–Tommy asks Hank Sr about Lindsy having another man and said he heard it from Flo. Hank Sr said he asked Lindsy and she said no that she had no time for that. Do you think Lindsy would tell her father in law the truth about that? I would think that would be one of the last people I would tell. I think Tommy is distraught and I believe (just my opinion) that he will commit suicide if he gets a lengthy sentence. I don’t think he is coping too well with Lindsy avoiding his calls and his kids not being able to visit. With that said, I do not feel sorry for Tommy. He definately has impulse control issues and addiction problems. He let this take over his life and continued to make bad decisions, without thinking of the consequences it will have on his family. Thanks to all who are involved bringing these tapes to the public forum. About the time I have an opinion on this case the players change the game plan. I almost feel sorry for the Croslin parents. I don’t think they’ve been the best parents but seem to be suffering for the trouble they know their children are in. There is times in these tapes they seem to be slurring their words as if they’re on drugs/alcohol. In their own way I think they love their children and grandchildren but can’t seem to get their own life together. Misty, Tommy? I’m about to the point of sticking my head in the sand on these two. I don’t believe anything they say. Pray that Haleigh will be found and who ever responsible pays.

Regarding whether the ‘god thing’ works, as Hank Sr. was saying, whether one literally believes in a god or not, I think it’s the mind frame that helps. Like in the twelve step programs, it’s letting go of the frenzy of trying to control your situation.
Even if you believe in nothing more supernatural than your own biology, you can give it the reigns that your flawed psyche wants to hold onto. Believing that your own body is pretty brilliant and powerful can be like letting “God” take over. Even if your body tells you, ‘I need my chemicals, now!’ part of that, in a useful way, is your body telling you to look at how the chemicals are controlling you.

I know for sure that lying in bed in that cold dark jail cell he is only worried about what his wife might be up to. That just might be the motivation he needed to concoct the Joe story and have Misty go along with it (not for one minute do I not think they can’t communicate in jail to each other). Only Misty embellished the story to implicate Tommy too in helping dispose of the body. No one can believe anything either say because they have not been the epitome of truth throughout this case. JO said in that interview he made with his lawyer, that LE caught up with them before they got home. They took everything he owned (I think he was talking about clothes and such)and they confiscated his girlfriend’s car. If that was true, he couldn’t have taken Haleigh back to Tn. Ron may have not known that until the lies were already told to LE. I have always believed that JO’s drug connection with Ron, Tommy, and Misty was the main reason they didn’t turn JO in earlier. It is true that Misty and the Croslin family kept mentioning JO, but they wouldn’t tell enough of the story so that LE would really have enough to go on.
On one of those Cobra tapes Cobra asked RC why he didn’t go after JO and beat the truth out of him. Ron said he was scared of him.

Cummings and Croslin were both involved in a road rage incident with a man by the name of Charles Jones in late December, 2 months after their divorce. Croslin had been staying with Jones after she divorced Ronald.

If you can get past Tommy’s incessant whineing , call linsey ,put money in my commisary , the tapes are quite interesting, I think there is more unsaid on the tapes you really have to read between the lines, I think I’m going to listen again later (after my head stops spinning)

I do believe JO may be in on Haleigh’s disappearance, and it may take time to get enough evidence to prove their case. he was at the bus stop waiting for his son and passed out on drugs!
According to a police report obtained by The Bald Truth, sheriff’s deputies found Tommy passed out in the front seat of the family’s blue min-van on Tyler Street and Buffalo Bluff Road, in Satsuma, Thursday at 8:56 a.m.
He told officers he was tried and taking a nap after dropping a young son, Austin, off at the school bus stop. Ironically, it’s the same spot where Austin once hopped the school bus with his cousin and best friend, Haleigh, who used to chase him around the yard and kiss him, his mother, Lindsay, tells me.
After rescue personnel woke him up, and determined he was okay, a deputy leaned in the open passenger window and “saw a prescription pill bottle, and a small sandwich bag containing several blue pills,” according to the police report obtained by The Bald Truth and posted below.
“I placed Hank in handcuffs until I could determine whether the pills were his or not,” the deputy reported. “Hank immediately began telling me that the pills belonged to his father, Hank Croslin Sr., and that Hank left them in the van. Hank (Jr., aka Tommy) also told me he did not know the pills were in the van. (He) said he had dropped his son off at the bus stop at 8 a.m., and had taken a nap because he was sleepy.”

The report identified the pills as alprazolam, oxycodone and methadone.
Lt. Greenwood said no officers would have any comment on the arrest.

Yes, I do remember about us speculating that LC found out ToC knew more than he was telling her. I believe that ToC would have gotten involved to protect MC. You can tell by the look on his face that he really loves MC.
I remember one thing the sheriff said after that river search. He said that Misty knows she is in trouble. He didn’t say anything about Tommy or Joe, but he said Misty knows she is in trouble. He said she is calmer and quieter, now. In other words, she knows some of the truth has come out, and she is in trouble.
Another thing that struck me was on the last video we saw of the senior Croslins, Lisa was crying. She said Misty just cries and says, “I don’t want to be in here forever.” That is quite a change, because Misty had been talking about going to boot camp for awhile or getting out with a monitor. She knows now she is in big trouble, so she knows some of the truth has come out.

She is young and hurt, and we don’t know if she has another man or not. She may have just said that because she was so upset. She later said she didn’t mean that. The whole family and Tommy are ringing her phone continuously. Maybe she thought he would leave her alone so she could think, if she said that. If she got her another man, she most likely had to do it with three little kids trailing behind her.

LE is putting unbelievable pressure on that whole family to get someone to tell them the truth. They knew LC’s vulnerable place was her kids, so they are threatening to take her kids. They may be wanting to divide and separate LC from ToC and his mother and dad. The more anger and division, the more someone may get mad and tell all they know.
Tommy’s big mistake, its not be totally honest in my opinion. Makes it difficult to believe his stories.

It was on a call between Tommy and (either Flo or the other old lady who they talk to in Tennessee?). She mentions that Action News was in “Momma’s” house today, too. The comment about Joe and his lawyer answering everything with “no comment” is right before she says that Joe was drunk for the questioning.

I wouldn’t think it would be Jan or Simon. They said “news people” gave them the money. Jan and Simon aren’t on the ground, handing out money to Croslins, as far as I know. When the (aunt? grandmother?) said that, I took it to mean tv people.

I feel sorry for the family even though they are drug addicts and pretty darn bad parents. Their kids may very well have something to do with Haleigh’s demise and at least Hank knows it. What an absolute trainwreck to watch/listen to. How did poor little Haleigh get caught in the whole dysfunctional situation. On that note I blame Ronald and that whole family alot. As far as Crystal and the Sheffields go they blew it no matter how this comes out. They should ALL be arrested for their lack of sense.
Tommy made the comment that he wasn’t going to let his sister go to prison for 25 yrs, and he didn’t intend to stay in prison. If he made any of the current study up, it would be something to protect Misty and himself.

Well, now we all know Tommy is making this up as his “ticket home” - in his own words. Nice. I hope Lyndsay is doing what is best for her now. He also says Misty’s stories are all false. If they are both trying to lie to get out, that means there is still a baby snatcher out there and people need to be looking for this child. Misty is about to lose her lawyer also, as he is losing patients with her. Who knows about her, but we can’t wait on figuring her out to decide whether to look for a live child or not and I hope they are still making contact with everyone and searching.

Tommy’s lawyer says that he and Misty’s lawyer agree that Tommy and Misty have pretty much the same story, now.
I don’t get why people can’t see that Tommy is a cold heartless sociopath and very manipulative. He’s lying and the most inconsistent one of all! He was so scared of Joe, yet all he had to do was pick up the phone and call police. They’d have gotten Joe before he ever got down the road with Haleigh! Yea right. He walks out to the van, gets close enough to see Haleigh inside, yet has a knife at him. Joe supposedly didn’t know he saw Haleigh, so what was the threat and knife about?? Tommy says he doesn’t know where Joe took her, but snickered about Haleigh being looked for off the dock. How did he know she wasn’t there to think it was so funny! What a fricking liar. Hank’s right. They are dumb. Joe was sent to Juvie til age 18. It’s not unusual for Juvie to send some troubled kids to residential treatment centers. They’re not called insane asylums.
Karon, I think they think they are putting them all under intense pressure, and it is pressure in the form of - they want to be out of jail - but, I don’t think it is hard for them to manipulate LE, because they can say anything and will, if they think they will gain from it. I think it might be possible they actually know nothing, and that is why it is so easy “not to tell”, because maybe there isn’t anything to tell, so no sweat.
Why hasn’t mom been on tv asking us to all be looking for her child, when she says she believes she is still alive. I would think she would want to refute the claims she is deceased and get people active in searching. But she is not, this has started to really bother me the past two days. I wonder why? Has she been told not to?
Viola, I agree, and also his dad said to Tommy - ya, you would have known what to do, or you would have been able to handle the situation, you could have taken care of it - something like that, well, Tommy says ya, and it is obvious Hank was checking to see what Tommy was REALLY saying, and he cleared up that is was a story, which is why they got calmer in the preceding tapes. This Joe story is a hoax. Tommy even said this was what he had to do as his ticket out and that was all he cared about.

When I said the lawyers were agreeing Tommy and Misty pretty much had the same story, I didn’t mean that it was the right story.
I am wondering why there haven’t been any of Misty’s tapes released since the river search.
I am convinced that LE will not let the Croslin family have one peaceful day until they find out what happened to Haleigh. They have them where they can’t get out of town. They can’t get a job in that county, so that adds to the pressure. I know they are doing alot of this to themselves, but I don’t know how much longer it is going to take. I have never seen anything like this before.
Two Questions, yes probably off track here but first of all I’ve read several places that Joe Has a diagnosis of Schizophrenic, If this is true I can’t understand why anyone would not believe that he could have done something. If anyone has ever seen (And believe me I’ve worked my whole career with the mentally ill)a schizophrenic “go off”.. anything is possible! And when they are not “going off” (on their meds)there’s a difference of night and day. The next thing I just read in a news article where Ron’s Attorney stated he would not be sentenced on his drug charges until AFTER Misty and Tommy, doesn’t that send up any red flags? IMO
Does anyone else want to call Lindsey and say ANSWER THE DANG PHONE!!! ? I mean I don’t blame her for now answering his calls but this is making Granny Hollars even more crazy.

Ok – I just finished tape 4. The more I hear the more confused I am. I know everyone is so down on Tommy but I wonder if Tommy isn’t partially covering for Timmy. When Tommy talked to Chelsea and she said – I had to answer. Timmy is desparate to talk to you… Why? Chelsea also keeps saying how she believes Tommy and how crazy Joe is – isn’t she afraid of getting in trouble for lying?
Why is Grandma Sykes calling Chelsea and saying no one is mad at the Croslins? Could they all be in on this? What is going on? Are they really all good actors?
Does anyone believe that Tommy’s lawyer really told him he could be tethered (I am assuming that is electronic monitoring)? Does his lawyer lie to him or is Tommy making that up?
When Timmy said he felt bad for Ronald – that did not sound sincere.
What did Timmy do (that he didn’t want to do but had no choice) to get Hank out of jail? Was that about the doctor shopping charge? Tommy tried to silence Timmy when he talked about this.
Oh well. I will keep listening but more than ever these have created more questions for me rather than answers.

Thanks to all for getting the tapes for us. Trying to listen. Jeez, Tommy is so freaking selfish. No matter what their parents have done, they are suffering now, so they are paying for not being there for them. I can’t help but feel bad for them. I know that’s not very popular, but I can’t help having a soft heart.
Could it be possible that Misty doesn’t know anything? None of it makes sense. I haven’t listened to all the tapes yet. I did catch something on one of the tapes that I found strange. Hank Sr say’s “how did they know where the body was”‘, then say’s the place or something to that affect. Sounded like he was trying to read between the lines when he was talking to Tommy.
Also funny how everyone finds God all of a sudden, isnt’ it?
I so agree stormgardner-I can’t help feeling sorry for his parents, his dad sounds so lost.
On the other hand, Tommy is pathetic, it’s all about him, very selfish. Every time he mentions wanting to see his kids I want to scream, “what about Haleigh, I bet her Dad (RON) would love to know where she is!”
Grrrr, makes me want to scream! They never show any concern for Haleigh what so ever. I don’t hear any remorse, well, maybe a little from Hank Sr, but he wasn’t involved it it. I can hear in his voice that he doesn’t really believe everything they are telling him, but he wants to so darn bad. Here’s the thing, just say for a minute they didn’t have anything to do with it, you would think either way they would feel something for Haleigh. I just don’t hear it. That little asshole knows his family is struggling and doesn’t have money, but he just keeps on about them calling Lindsy. I’m sure they need their phone for things other than jail calls. (or that’s what we are to believe, not 100% sure about any of it anymore)
They all need to back off and give her some time to think. She’s probably feeling suffocated.
I know Ron is not a popular guy. Yes he’s a thug, druggie and many other things, but I still don’t believe he hurt Haleigh other than leading the lifestyle he was living and bringing these characters into his childrens lives. Unfortunatly, there are no do overs in real life. I do believe he loves Haleigh with all his heart. I have to give compassion to a man that’s lost his child. Even if he were to walk out of prison today, his life will never be the same. I don’t believe his little girl will ever come home. I think LE knows something we don’t. They have to have a reason to believe Haleigh is deceased. You have to think, even when a child is found dead and they haven’t been identified, they will not say for sure it’s the child until they can be sure.

You know, Gabby, I always felt in my gut that Tommy killed Haleigh. From the very beginging. But I can totally see the logic behind what you’re saying here. Wouldn’t suprise me if this was how it’s come down.
I think Misty is getting ready to drop the ball on Ron. From the very beginning I have thought that she is protecting him in some way. There is no way on earth that Ron doesn’t know something. Maybe it was an accident or something of that nature, not matter what the circumstances are, Ron knows and Misty is protecting him. Tommy is protecting his own butt and Misty’ butt too. Misty says in the conversation to her dad ” Ronald is not so innocent, they need to look at him too. I guess she finally decided that saving herself is more important than staying loyal to her man. I think that we are not hearing any of her tapes because she is finally starting to roll on Ron and LE doesn’t want any one getting a heads up on things. I believe that they all 3 know what happened and were all 3 involved in some way or another. As far as Joe goes, he is just a pawn. I think if LE really did think that he was involved IN ANY WAY, they would have picked him up for leaving the area while on parole/ probation. If so much as J-walked they would have picked him up. They know that he is not involved.
Tommy totally helped in getting rid of Haleigh…You can tell ….I know he has beef with Ronald but it is strange that anytime Ronald is brought up Tommy does not even comment on it….I mean Ronald lost his baby If Tommy was really a loving caring father you would think he would show some remorse for Ronald. GUILTY-In my book!

At the very end of the 4th call….did anyone hear Timmy say “…I sent somebody something” to get dad out of jail, he goes on to say he sent something that had been sent to him from misty & he did not want to but he had to in order to get dad out…then tommy asks if timmy had talked to art harris- timmy said no art does not call anymore.
Who did he send what to? Would it be LE or Leonard maybe? Why did hank sr get arrested? and how can timmy get him out if there is no bail?

I have been lurking for quite awhile, and was just prompted by a comment that Lisa made on the tape into posting!
Here is my take on the Croslins. ME, ME, ME, and hey my husband lied to me, so I am going to vaguely threaten him so I can see what his reaction will be, and then talk about me! To all the Croslin children and their spouses its about ME! To the two sitting in jail it is…I am all that is important…do not buy your children food or pay the rent so I can get minutes on the phone to bug you every day. Jeez!
The only one who has any do “right” in him is the daddy..he so obviously does not believe a single word that the MC or TC says, yet he loves his children and wants to believe that they are not capable of such an act.
Mama Croslin..Lisa I would not trust, she loves her children but would certainly lie for them if she felt like it would help their situations. What has really made my Blood pressure go through the roof is on the tape I think it is 10, she is heard in the background and I clearly hear her say “F*ck Haleigh”..does anyone else hear this? If she does say it, she is clearly not worried about a innocent child, she just is looking to lay blame and protect her little monsters!
My take on the tapes. On the tape titled “Missing Tommy-Lindsay tape”, Lindsay is pushing Tommys buttons, he loves her..it is not enough…rumors of other BF already have reached TC. Oh, by the way don’t I look Tan?
Meanwhile Lindsay tries to involve one of the kids and Tommy does not even want to talk to or about the kids. Another indicator is in the tape I think 8, his Aunt Vicky is leaving a message on Lindsays’ voice mail for TC and SHE is the one that adds “tell the kids daddy loves them”..I have never heard TC tell his kids he loves them on any of the tapes..he can only repeat the family creed “I did’nt do nutin wrong”. I have noticed the mama said it in tape 9.
My other question is WHY is TC desperate to speak with Timmy?
By Tommy’s and sometimes Misty’s use of the phrase “I did’nt do nutin’ wrong” I am now wondering what these messed up young adults. would consider wrong. Drugging a child? Sexual molestation? Murder? Dumping a sweet little girls body like she was garbage?
This family has ISSUES..Lindsay says on the tape “you can be your perfect insestious family”.
I am soooooo tired of hearing Tommy say oh that’s bullsh*t! Anything that pertains to his being a liar that he is is immediately called bullsh*t!

I am sooo glad she dumped his sorry ass! She is really an amazing person in my opinion. I have spoke to her and she is really a great person and I admire that she had the smart attitude to divorce his butt.
