I have followed the Haleigh Cummings case from day one. It has been exactly 15 months of utter frustration. Today represents the 15 month anniversary that Haleigh Cummings was seen. During those 15 months I have met new friends, and certainly made a few enemies. The quest has always been to report on the case, but some do not always agree with my point of view.
In my mind this is a missing child case that should never have happened. The more I hear about the families involved, the more firmly convinced I become that I would not let any of them raise Chia Pets never mind children.
The fact that some of them are behind bars, and others are awaiting the same fate, does give me some small modicum of hope for the Law Enforcement system. I have the greatest respect for the PCSO, and I certainly understand (well think I do) the strategy. Rolling the merry band up in a drug sting was a piece of perfect planing. Hope Sykes playing stupid “The prosecutor can kiss my ass†was the icing on the cake. That statement managed to get her a hefty 15 year sentence. Hope was just a bit player in this drama!
Tommy Croslin seems to be convinced that at worse he is facing three years, that is BS, Tommy is looking at far more.
Misty Croslin seems to think that the maximum she faces is 25 years, sorry, but that is also BS.
Ronald Cummings, the darling of the Nancy Grace program also faces some very serious jail time.
Do the math? If a bit player gets 15 years, what are the serious ones looking at?
Keep in mind, these are convictions over drugs rather than Haleigh Cummings.
I think it would be interesting if Sheriff Hardy and his people set their sights on the Caylee Anthony case. I could see way more than just Casey Anthony in jail. The whole case makes my stomach churn. Just like the Haleigh Cummings case, I can see no innocent people.
Mom and Dad, Cindy and George can afford to take a cruise, they can afford to keep Casey in Twinky bars, yet somehow they have skillfully avoided paying their mortgage for the best part of a year. In my mind they are playing the role of victim. But that is rubbish. Absolute rubbish. These are the media whores.
Both of these stories bother me to no end. I have way more fun talking to ‘bad guys’. Somehow I seem to have become involved with some ex Mafia people. I will say this, they have some damn ethics, no child would be hurt. Were it not for the fact that they have sworn that they will not play in the Mafia Crime Sand Box again, I would love to let them loose on the Haleigh Cummings and Caylee Anthony cases.
I am pretty certain that answers would be forthcoming.
