I agree that it is most likely baseless (hands burned rumor). What is bothering me is that for months now everyone has said that WS rumor mill was all BS but then some of the rumors have been proven true. So which “rumors” were just rumors and which were actually true statements that others didn’t like or wanted to discount for whatever reason.

If it didn’t originate there why insist it did? Maybe it WAS a WSer who posted that on Clint’s article but then again we don’t know for sure.

I don’t care about Sheffields, Cummings, Neves, Sykes, Croslins, ….NONE of them…just the truth for Haleigh…whatever that truth might be. No matter who it hurts.

SO how does that make it WS/s rumor? Was it a person FROM WS who posted as a teacher who had previously been a DCFS investigator?

It bothers me that it’s being attributed (and discarded) as a WS rumor when it did not originate there….

I have been waiting for all to realize this and come together in this effort. It is a no win discussion at this point IMO because it becomes a debate and there is no evidence to support either argument.

If anything I am of the opinion that the only evidence that LE had from day one was that HaLeigh was abducted from her bed by someone she knew very well.

I can not see continuing the in the dark debate of who done it any longer; because it should never have been a debate about who was a better parent.
No public side taking needed to be enticed in a obvious ongoing custody war between the Cummings and the Sheffield’s. The publics focus should of never been removed from HaLeigh’s abduction and directed and manipulated by those that have had an agenda that did not involve finding HaLeigh.

I now am going to just wait for LE to show their cards and hear the fat lady of justice sing.

Without a reasonable doubt……. all the guilty will be convicted and serve time for all the crimes that where committed in HaLeigh’s name and the harm done to this precious baby, by those that claim to love her.

On another note, I still can’t imagine Ron leaving work to come home and kill one of his children then go back to work. That is just beyond reason or motive and makes no sense to me. However, I do think it is possible that he was threatened for not having the gun that Joe went to get. Maybe someone came back to the MH and took Haleigh to teach him they were serious. That’s why Joe split town, because he wanted no part of it. Ron wouldn’t tell, because he or his family would be next….if he ratted out a gang that deals in stolen drugs.
Also the other way that Ron may of been involved is that he was trying to get “out of a gang” and I know from the things I have read and studied, that they don’t like that and they do bad things to your family if you try. He may of been told to start getting pills too, to prove he was still loyal to the gang…we just don’t know.
There is something going on though. LE is awfully quiet this last week. Hopefully we will get a BOMBSHELL soon.

i still think that they have the key players, all right there in jail. i truly don’t believe that CS and family had anything to do with it. LE are trained and used to, pathological liars and manipulators. of course they make mistakes in judgement at times, but i don’t think that they are fooled by this bunch. LE knows alot more than they are telling, and for good reason. i for one, am glad to see that for once, in a case that is getting so much media hype and attention, they are taking their time, playing it all out to its conclusion. so many times, it seems, LE jumps the gun, and then aren’t able to get the prosecution. with this case, there has been many untruths and confusion. happy to see they are going over things meticulously.

Is it possible that Haleigh was sold for a debt owed?

I am going to try and put the focus back on Haleigh being abducted and see where it goes, as nothing is coming out about Haleigh from looking at those in jail.

So, back to ‘motives’ for Haleigh’s dissapearance. A real live motive to me is Crystal’s owing 12,000 in back payments. I think her family was pretty upset about this too. They all probably thought it was unfair for Ron to have the kids, and then it must of been a slap in the face for them to be calling Misty momma! Maybe they didn’t like Misty picking their grandchildren up from school, making their dinner, putting them to bed. Especially not a 17 year old that Crystal hated. This could push her or her family right over the edge, without much pushing. Maybe the family acted because they beleived Haliegh was being abused, but knew there was no way that Crystal would ever get custody of her.

It’s very possible that her family had taken it upon themselves to get Haleigh and Jr out of there that night, knowing that Misty was sleeping or high (or gone). Abductions by the non parental family is very common. (remember, desperate people do desperate things, especially when they feel helpless to fight what they think is wrong). Maybe they got Haleigh out and were gonna go back and get Jr, but Misty woke up. Maybe this person or persons took Haleigh through the woods where the dogs tracked her scent and put her in a boat? It is highly possible. I don’t rule her family out as the abductors!

Go back and look at the tapes of Crystal and her Mom. No way is this a mother whose child that has just been taken. No way does her family show anything either. Crystal was too busy trying to get Kim to help her get Jr.. Her focus wasn’t on Haleigh. I think NG brought it to light that Crystal is a Liar, and soon after, Kim dropped her. I know ‘good ole’ Cobra was helping her and so was Steve (I solved this case) Brown , but it’s because they too were blinded by these stories and theories. We all know that neither one of them are on the up and up and are looking for their 15 minutes of fame.

I see no one else with motive, but that side of the family. Other than that, (again having to do with the focus of abduction), it could of been the AC guy or maybe even someone who overheard him talking about the home situation or someone he who told about it. Maybe him or someone else went back looking to see what they could get. Who knows. And it certainly could of been a pedophile somewhere. (But, reportedly the lights were on and LE thinks it was someone she knew. Surely they would know to turn the lights on too if they knew she was afraid of the dark, right?)

But, if that child was harmed, killed or died in that home, I think there would of been some sort of evidence. Just my thoughts.

Now, does she have something diagnosed? Not that we are aware of. I highly doubt that Mental Health screening or treatment is high on anyone’s priority in that family. She is at an age where she could have a disorder occur, but people tend to deny mental illness because they are afraid of it or don’t understand it. About 80 -90% of people with some form of it also have alcohol and drug issues. Just her envioronmental exposure is a factor.

Also, Misty and Tommy both have droopy eyes, low set ears, etc. Sorry, but there is something wrong! You can see it when you first look at them. Genetically, medically and psychologically. It is not normal to prostitute out of 6th grade and do drugs.

We are not dealing with your average everyday people here. I think if something did happen to Haleigh, then it was done in an “altered state of mind”. (Just like Casey Anthony was probably in “severe mania” mixed with a psychotic episode. However, she seems to be in permanent lala land). I always say, “Desperate people, do desperate things!” and that applies to ‘everyone’.

If WS Started that they should be shut down,Don’t ask me why but I always believed WS was a truthful place,only stated facts because they were mentioned in Caylee’s case as being so……so if I thought that ,I am sure others believed what they read there too!

Cathyjo, 90% of the rumors that are now taken as fact came from WS in the rumor thread that went on for many months before it was finally shut down.These same people that originally posted them go all over the boards/blogs and still repeat it to this day.

Probably a lot of friends and family working together in LE, and they know who is doing what.

also wanted to say re: the subject of missing teeth~~if it is true about the drug use rumors amongst some of the parents, as well as their children~ tooth loss is one of the main “side-effects” of using meth (crack, etc). even young people who use steadily, will experience the rotting and falling out of their teeth.

The Croslins are a very dysfunctional family, but doesn’t make them mean people I guess.

It is almost impossible to take drugs out of the equation since they do effect a person’s ability to rationalize or reason.

stilllucy this is from the ct docs. Crystal was facing contempt of court charges for failing to pay child support. She was notified of the hearing just days before Haleigh went missing. It was scheduled for 3/27.

There is no documents saying that Ron had a hearing over missed school days.

Your first statement is correct. You can see from the pictures she is not in pain as she was playing, gauze just keeps the dirt out and keeps her from scratching.

Saliva ph, dry mouth,sugars, etc., affect mouth bacteria.

The non-support case was filed within a day or so of HaLeigh’s disappearance, but was on the docket for the end of March-09. Ron was scheduled to answer as to HaLeigh’s absenteeism from school on 2-10-09, closed hearing with DCF. It was all posted here the other night and now I can’t find it. If Cathy comes by, she may be able to help out or Tobias. I do believe they were involved in the conversation

again Ron did not have a hearing with DCF or anyone. Either post the proof or stop spreading false info.

Also education even at its highest levels has nothing to do with common sense. I know several people who have masters degrees that have problems with everyday events and communicating with average people. So Mistys education is not a factor unless she was asked to take a test for knowledge.
Its not like her brain just stopped developing at age 12-13. jmo

If there is any truth to Misty putting Haleigh’s hands in boiling water and Ron stayed with her and Crystal didn’t beat her ass and all of them didn’t press charges on Misty, none of them deserve her.

It never happened treece and we found out the truth of the matter at WSs over a year ago and the matter was dropped.I don’t know why these old rumors/lies are being brought up again over a year later..

Just because someone else thinks different from you OJ’s Glove, it doesn’t mean they are trying to be a judge . You have stuck with your thoughts on this case from the beginning which I admire, but it doesn’t mean everyone thinks like you do and it doesn’t mean they are foolish. You know I don’t approve of name calling no matter how simple you think it might be. It only causes problems so I am asking you one last time to stop it.

It is clear that a lot of people disagree with you and I am sure it gets frustrating trying to convince everyone why you feel like you do, but we all have to remember that none of us have the answers yet, so it isn’t fair to call one another wrong.

Just hearing this or that given as fact even if it is family, doesn’t make what they say true in the case. Unless one was actually there and part of what happened to Haleigh, we can’t say who is innocent and who is not. We can only say what our opinions are.

Well, they have gotten it. With a lot of people asking questions, there gets to be a lot of rumors and lies going around. There is also a lot of twisting of words and facts, not to mention putting a twist on a made up story.

Seriously, I don’t think any of us know what was truly said or if what we were told was truly said. We know what we get from the media…and I won’t go there, and we get info that others post. Gosh, before we could communicate on our computers, how did things get solved?

Anyway, I would just like LE to take a fresh look at what really happened. Maybe they have and maybe that is why all the silence this last week or so from LE.

I guess I have just read so much from every angle and it is going NOWHERE! Of course, it is really hard to do any true detective work from behind a computer and in another state, lol. But we all have our opinions and thoughts, so post away. This is what keeps it interesting.

Jon Bennets mother was suspected of being involved and so was her father, etc. They did hand writing analysis, etc. on that ransom note, they followed the father around and caught him involved in child porn in Amsterdam, there was recorded tapes of the mother saying suspicious things, also why she would turn the house alarm off that particular night, etc. They had very shady lives and weren’t treated like this. They had money and lawyers. They were never jailed.

All people lie. That is a fact!! Do you seriously believe that the drugs, alcohol and abuse suffered by Misty has not done anything to her Brain? It is an organ, just like any other organ in the body. Those things effect it severely. There is a such thing called Substance Induced Disorder. It is listed as a mental illness. Im not sure that Misty had that much street smarts either…look at that tape again of her getting busted. Not too smart confiding in some guy she doesn’t know driving the car. She is not bright, period. So don’t give her credit there. And she certainly isn’t smart enough to fool LE or the FBI.
I already explained above about how she failed those lie detectors, so I won’t go into that again.
Those are just my beliefs though. Again, not saying who is guilty or innocent, but this is a dead end road and people keep insisting that it goes through, and it doesn’t, obviously.

So what about a family abduction? What about the TV/Air Cond. guy? What about….

If those things turn out to be true, then a whole lot of people’s lives have been ruined over this! Everyone’s but the one’s who did it.

This is probably a case of: We will never find out where Haleigh is and we will never be able to pin it on anyone. There is no evidence of a murder, no weapon, no witnesses, no suspects and no body. No crime, except there is a missing child and a scene that appears to be an abduction.

Then we have a bunch of irresponsible adults who possibly could be involved in the dissapearance, but everyone is being proven to be liars and drug users/abusers/sellers. Most have criminal historys and some have failed lie detectors.

We have cops and specialists who have not been able to figure out where Haleigh is or who is involved in her disappearance now for over a year. They say they have several persons of interest, but don’t name them. They don’t name suspects either.

The pressure is on to clean up this case. They set up those adults connected to Haleigh through a drug bust. Still no clear answers to many questions about Haleigh. Only the public digging for dirt on the individuals and forming opinions on what their involvement was with Haleigh’s dissappearance.

At this rate, we may never find out who is involved. Seems the focus has been taken off of Haleigh and is now on gossiping about the adults, their lifestyles and what’s the latest in their daily lives. I hope we don’t have another Jon Bennet type outcome or a Jaycee Duggard scenario.

Pray that Haleigh comes home.

Mlee, I am with you, this has totally spun out of control by every little piece of dirt found on someone being thrown into one big pot, thrown together and twisted. Meanwhile, Haleigh is gone without a trace. Seems the logic has gone too in taking a clean fresh look at the evidence or lack thereof.

It was also said early on when this “rumor” was started that Haleigh was taken to the doctor after the school fall and then was taken back to ER 10 days later when she was experiencing vomiting. They did a catscan to rule out a head injury from that fall. Head injuries can cause vomiting etc.

There are a few different pics of Haleigh at the park/ball field that appear to be taken on the same day which show the bandages falling off of her hands, like they were loosely wrapped. If you look at the pics you can tell that her hands had not been “scalded” for goodness sakes. You can’t scald somebodys hands or dip them in boiling water and not cause injury to the fingers.

The rumor about burned hands was started on WS, quickly spread to SM and made it’s way to AH.
