Iwould love to see the dash cam for this one. I think they should have tazzed him just for good measure.(I am a little sarcastic sometimes lol) So happy the 12 year old was safe but I bet she was scared really bad. jmo

Finaly a good ending,to what could have been a awful one.Its hard on working parents,an child care cost are a lot now days.But at 12 she was smart,an trained to the system.But there are after school programs ,an other program they should look into,for youth her age to stay at.Because if she had not heard him come in,say she was rocking out with earphones on,or maybe an upstares house.He came in down,she was up.An many parents may cant afford systems.12yr olds on the norm arent able to handle many crises that could arise.

These parents need to pay attention.Check the break in sytistics.How many B&Es have happen in their town,city.This family was very lucky.She could have had many things happen to her if he had got in.Just what if it had been a seasoned,pedifile who was trying to get in,he may have made it.Shes a very smart,an lucky 12 yr old.Those parents need to be thanking God today!!!!

Great article. I agree with you about leaving young kids home alone. I was left at 12 to babysit my brother and sister (7 and 9). It was very scary. I am 65 yrs old now and when someone knocks on the door today I am still scared. Sounds silly but it’s true.
