The Military are trained to engage in war. Much different. The three buckets of Security functionality are typically 1. Information Security 2. Fraud management/Insider Threat and 3. Physical Security…None of which is a Primary discipline of a military background… Of the three Physical Security is the best fit (facilities)…but not necessarily Executive Protection … There is a misconception in cooperate America that former/retired military provide “security” in a private setting.
