His Royal Highness Prince William

(London, UK) Prince William and Prince Harry have sent a message to the Founders of Autism Sunday to say they were delighted to hear of the success of the event, held recently on 14th February this year.

Autism Sunday was founded in 2002 by British parents and carers, Ivan and Charika Corea. Their idea has grown into a huge worldwide event, celebrated in many countries. The British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Leader of the Opposition David Cameron were among those who sent their best wishes for Autism Sunday. The London Service for Autism Sunday was attended by hundreds of people including Treasury Minister of the UK Government Stephen Timms MP and Health Select Committee member Lee Scott MP.

Campaigners used Autism Sunday as a platform to lobby and campaign on the serious education and health issues concerning autism and Asperger’s Syndrome around the world. There are over 60 million people with autism across the globe. Many struggle without proper access to public service. Ivan and Charika Corea urged world leaders to do more to help people with autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
