These three, along with Ronald Cummings and Hope Sykes were arrested January 20, 2010 on drug trafficking charges after a month-long multi-agency drug sting operation.

LMAO – from what I can tell…most of the folks in this family are familiar with sleeping in a car. So why can’t Auntie Vicki stay with Hank and Lisa in their one room apartment?
I’ve only listened to two but did I hear correctly that what she knows is going to hurt two people they (Croslin Family) care about. One they really care about and the other they kind of care about? My first thougth is Tommy & Joe. She said it was not Ronald.
Now misty is talking about getting her GED and letting someone hang it on their wall. and when she gets out she is going to get a cap and gown for them to take picture of her holding her GED.lol
On the last Tommy tape, he and Lindsey are talking about Lindsey having to take a drug test? He keeps telling her she doesn’t have to do it again, but she says she doesn’t mind. Hmm. I wonder if the higher ups have maybe threatened to remove the kids from the home if anyone tests positive for drugs?
Lindsey really cuts “Tom” off on that tape, saying she needs to take care of their little girl and she’s not going to let her scream like she has been doing the whole call.

The only thing I heard about Haleigh is something about Cousin Joe being on front page that Misty had said something about him. Misty didn’t deny not saying anything just that it was not in the paper that she collects all of newspapers.

KeepItReal – I don’t think I’d believe anything out of Misty’s mouth at this point….reason being…..she’s had PLENTY of time to tell the truth and she hasn’t done so which means she’s had JUST as much time to think up lies. I still believe she would lie (or even sell her soul to the devil) if Ron asked her to. She loves him…not sure why…but she does. I also think that if the drug thug theory is correct, she would pin this on her brother to get her and Ron out of hot water with this major drug dealer….it is the lesser of two evils. ON tape 2-10-10 she is saying detectives come in and give her cigs. and her mom asked her if she told them what she knows and she said she has told her attorney but not the detectives and lisa said what did your attorney say and she said I can’t say.

Man, I sure wish I knew what Misty had told her attorney and whether it is ANYWHERE close to being the truth. If she tells him about another crime (she’s in jail for trafficking drugs) doesn’t he have an obligation to tell LE? After Misty mentions the two people it’s going to hurt, Chelsea says something about “the last time I seen her.” Is she just talking about Haleigh? Could it be that the “her” is one person it will hurt? Or, the spouse/girlfriend of someone it will hurt? She is mumbling something as Misty continues talking and I want to think it could be a name.

I think her lawyer would be telling the state prosecutors in the drug case that M has info on another case – a missing child – and if they want to hear that info, they’ll have to deal on the drug charges.
Then it would go back and forth about whether she tells what she knows before or after getting a deal (if they will deal at all). And the state might base it on whether M has any way to PROVE what she would be claiming. If she does not, then she’s cooked. LE isn’t going to let her tell some story that can’t be proven somehow.
The other issue is whether the drug charges and the Haleigh investigation really ARE connected or separate. It is maybe possible that some drug LE would not want to let a criminal they “captured” get a deal of any kind. So both departments of LE have to work together. I’m assuming they will.

Sorry for the delay, JB. Well, honestly, I think some of the police in my community throw their weight around in a way that isn’t always legal or constitutional. I think many of them think they are doing righteous work, even when they’re just practicing bigotry or bullying. I don’t necessarily think they’re all like that, but way too many are. Most of the police I’ve run into who don’t seem to be operating that way are the female ones.
I hope nobody takes offense, of course. This is all just my opinion, based on my experience and anecdotes from people I have no reason to doubt.

So, J.S. knows he can “convince” them that they r actually doing a good thing by getting Haleigh away from Ron.
The two most obvious people for J.Sheffield to approach: Cousin Joe and Tommy Croslin. (and I think Timmy is involved too.)
Everyones gonna sit around, as usual,and get loaded. But,it’s crucial that they get Misty to the point of passing out, so she has no idea what happens.
The only problem: it all blew up in their faces; this was NOT supposed to be exposed in the media. It was just a family vs.family gone wrong situation fueled by hatred, greed, money, and a Mommy who got screwed out of getting custody of her kids.
J.S. knows that when Ron comes home to no Haleigh, he will automically know its the Sheffields who took her back home w/them.

I just started wondering, after that Cobra tape w/Barbara, (Barbie)! that since there was a constant battle b/w families, perhaps it just started out “innocently” ie, you know what I did, I know what u did, we want Haleigh, we don’t want Ron having her; then when Ron got in a bad situation, the Sheffields took it as their chance to jump in and hold it over Ron’s head. Really, no different than someone taking their child when they don’t have custody, and all parties involved KNOW, because of the fact that there is CONSTANT fighting back and forth. Since drugs were involved in Ron’s side, maybe it was just simply intended to pay someone to pick up Haleigh, and go. Stupid shady thinking,meant as a direct threat to RON to step back and leave Crystal alone. ( And J.Sheffield has connections, very shady)
What if: J.Sheffield ASSUMED Ron would know its from them; (didn’t Johnny have a habit of using lg.bricks to keep the barn doors open, and Jr. even imitated it.)maybe stupid J.S. figured Ron would get that hint.

Regardless, I want the guilty parties punished to the fullest extent of the law I don’t care if that includes half of Putnam and Baker counties. I want the hardest sentence the law will allow.

I would bet the list is of people who were enemys of the family or just possibly Ron.

Speaking of this, does anyone know what date it was that Misty said to her mom, ‘did you see the paper today? they have the people involved in jail.’ If she mentioned how recently they were arrested, or even if she didn’t, it might be worth looking at the Putnam jail log for the arrests in the days before that convo. A little ways south of Crescent City is Volusia County. Maybe that would be helpful too, if there’s a Crescent City connection.
