It was a rather strange program, 30 minutes before we went on air I heard that we had some audio that had not been played before. I won’t use the Bombshell, or Exclusive moniker that others might.. But the few minutes of audio that I have listened to, do lend credibility to some other items that came out months ago.
Suddenly the letter that Nay Nay Prevatt received takes on a new meaning.
It will take us a couple of days to clean up the audio, but we did play some of it on air.
The panel today was the regulars, Simon and Jan Barrett, TJ Hart, Denny Griffin, and Armando Aldazabal.
It was an interesting 90 minutes. Did we solve the case? NO. Is this another piece of the puzzle? YES.
I have heard from LE many times about many cases, ‘We are looking once again at the evidence”. I am sure that PCSO has looked many times at what they know, or at least how they perceive it. These tapes were handed over to LE when they first surfaced, which was quite some time ago.
On their own they really do not mean much, but when you marry them with some other information (verified) they do take on a new meaning. Maybe these recordings did form part of the reason that PCSO ran the drug sting operation against Misty and the rest of them?

No you are wrong. Roy Kronk has a friend that works at the jail were Casey is being held and his friend over heard Casey talking to someone (probably her attorney) and she told exactly where Caylee was put.
I don’t believe in the death penalty. But Casey did kill her daughter.
I think Casey had some diffident mental problems and should have plead insanity. But I’m not sure she can now.

IMO, Casey Anthony murdered her precious daughter. I hope she pays for her crime(s). And I hope that Caylee gets the JUSTICE that she deserves.

Ky mom: With all due respect, IMO, Casey isn’t mental. She appears to be a spoiled brat, who got anything she wanted, any time she wanted it and was never held accountable for anything! She had a temper tantrum, murdered her child, then tried to cover it up. I am willing to bet, she assumed LE would buy into all her lies just like her parents always did. She assumed that a flirty voice and cute smile would get her out of trouble. Hence, all the primping in the interrogation room. She should get the death penalty! In fact, the death penalty should be an automatic sentence for child killers, child molesters and the like. Society in general seriously needs to stop making excuses for monsters like her and make the punishment fit the crime. Until that day comes, stoires like this will continue to increase in number at a rapid rate.

First of all my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to Amber’s family. It is a terrible ending but closer for this loving family. Secondly, I hope Haleigh is soon found one one or another, she too has family who love her dearly. I would hope that Misty would have a heart and say what happened to Haleigh, only she and God knows what happened to that little girl. Lastly, I cannot believe anyone would think that it is possible that Roy Kronk killed Caylee. Look at the evidence and all that was found in that car. It does not matter that he may or may not have used tape on his ex wife, we are talking about all the evidence that was found in the car and in the home. Unless Roy had access to both the car and the house why would anyone consider it to be a possibility?

Patty - I hear ya….and I guess Kronk MADE Casey go swing from a stripper pole, hang out in bars and steal checks while her daughter was missing, made her do searches for chloroform, neckbreaking, and household weapons. Prevented her from calling 911 for 30 days, made her lie to her parents about where she was during those 30 days, made her lie about having a job and a nanny (not to mention the multiple addresses for the nanny that never panned out), made her steal credit cards, checks from her brother and money from her grandmother. Made her steal gas, broke into the house and stole the laundry bag, Caylee’s belongings, the duct tape, etc then waited until Casey abandoned the car and put Caylee’s dead body in it…waited just long enough for it to stink up the car (although according to Casey the car stunk BEFORE she abandoned it…thus the dead squirrel story)…but went back and removed Caylee’s body BEFORE the car was towed and then planted the body near Casey’s house….uhhhh, yeaaahhh, righttttt….and I’m the Easter Bunny! And don’t forget Kronk broke into the Anthony’s home and stole the heart stickers too! WHATEVER! If I lived and worked in the area I would have been looking for Caylee too! That is ALL Kronk is. He was really into this case….JUST LIKE WE ARE! He just happened to live and work close enough to actually search for her.

Mornin’ JB: Can’t say what’s really on the tapes of use, other than a deeper glimpse into that local drug scene. What I find most interesting about these tapes is LE’s lack of interest in them. They may have nothing to offer on the case but it seems to me LE would want to listen to them before deciding they are of no use. I get bothered big time when LE is not interested in any and all tips.

I really can’t understand most of what is on the tapes. They are Cobra’s tapes from last spring or early summer. Interviewing people about everyone being on drugs, etc. My laptop speakers aren’t great, but what I did hear very clearly was Misty’s name at one point. Something about “Misty is in deep.” But I couldn’t get all of what was said leading up to that, or following.
I have not listened to them all yet.

Not sure what situation she was referring to. I don’t want to jump to conclusions. And of course, no way to know if the speaker is credible because this case is so full of people who are not.

Hi, JB! I have no idea why BOLDONE3 is confused other than some folks shorten my nic to m2c or M2C sometimes in their comments. It never bothered me.
Anyway, back when Hank Sr reported that R said that the amount mentioned was whatever the reward was for at that time - like $30,000 or $35,000. I can’t remember. Supposedly a child said she’d gotten a call from Haleigh who told her she was with a man named Larry. When R heard that - according to Hank Sr - he said “with that” (the name “Larry” I guess) and the “$”(whatever the amount of the reward was) “I could get Haleigh back.”
I am not able to listen to the tapes yet. So can’t comment on whatever was said there.
At least I don’t think there is another m2c or M2C here. If so please speak up!

It is a serious thing to accuse someone of being “2 different people” here. So I had reason for concern. And I was trying to figure out the reason for the confusion.
One of my posts was in response to JB. The others were to you and all other readers trying to clear up the issue.

I do know that she and some others started a great discussion today and got totally derailed by a “out of the blue” accusation that I was posting as two people or something.
And then my comment about trying to take such off-topic comments elsewhere started another derailment.
The whole day was shot because of this nonsense.
Maybe what we could do, next time, is if someone has a personal question like BOLDONE’s, it could be stated here and then we could go to the Off-topic thread in the Forum or PM to discuss it or even go to another article here on BNN to get out of everybody else’s way so they can keep discussing the case.
What do you all think of that?
Also, there have been problems in the past between posters who want to chat or fight vs posters who want to talk about the case.
And that is one of the reasons that Jan and Simon provided the Forum. So if anyone thinks it’s rude for a poster to suggest that such comments be posted elsewhere, I don’t think it is. It makes sense. We HAVE a place to go to to talk off-topic and PM if we want and Jan and Simon enabled that.
And if people don’t want to go to the Forum they can go use another old article. We can ask Jan. She used to let us do that before and we can ask which ones we can use for that.
I don’t think it’s rude for someone to ask to stay on topic. That’s what this board is for.

If you follow yesterday morning’s comments, you will see that TexasMommy39’s note to Jan did NOT refer to CathyJo (or cent). It clearly referred to the ridiculous round-and-around “conversation” about my nic that I was having with BOLDONE3.
I could have taken offense but I did not because TM39 was RIGHT! That kind of ridiculous stuff only interrupts discussion about Haleigh. I don’t want to be a part of that. But it’s hard when someone is accusing you of being two people and it’s important to get it cleared up on the board where other people have seen it and may get the wrong idea.
As far as the “4th round” in the “CathyJo, I’m hurt. I want an apology” tantrum, I have nothing more to say. I can’t say anything more without very likely “hurting her feelings” which I (for the hundredth time) did not intend to do in the FIRST PLACE.
The result of all that knee-jerk reaction was stopping a good discussion and running off another blogger who had a lot to contribute to this board.
Sometimes I think I should just go to a blog where 6 - 8 year olds post. It wouldn’t be much different but at least I’d know who I’m “talking to.”

You know maybe I do see insults when/where they are NOT present… but then again, maybe I see what others don’t like to see because they secretly agree… One thing I know for sure is that I do NOT go looking for them!!! I have a theory on the A case. I think C drugged Caley off and on the whole month she was out Partying and then she over did it so she hid the body in the trunk until she came up with a plan to make it look like an abduction. But she did kill her no doubt about it. jmo

I agree that one possibility is that Casey was drugging Caylee…xanax probably…and could have overdone it. But didn’t they test Caylee’s hair and found no traces of drugs? That would rule that out….but it was certainly one of my initial theories and one I STILL ponder. It could have been a drowning too. Who knows….but dang, if that is the case, WHY wouldn’t Casey come clean about it and say it was an accident? Does she think she can win this case and walk free? She better think again! Her only hope is for her to tell the truth…but I’m not sure she is even capable of doing that.
Tobias…curious if you believe this affair took place….let me know…also, do you think this is the evidence the prosecution got approval from the judge to keep quiet?
Oh, Tobias…I think Caylee was dead shortly after Casey left the house on the 16th. I think forensics back that up. She either accidently or intentionally killed her around that date (backed up by the flies, maggots, smell, etc….in the trunk). The body farm can confirm the date of death based on what was found in the trunk…IMO. Whatever happened, I feel like it happened around the 16th when Casey disappeared from the house.
The As and the Croslins are alot alike sometimes. They didnt do a good job parenting or caring what their kid was doing until they ended up in a lot of trouble. They profess love when they dont even know what it is, they continue to protect someone even though they know what they did is wrong. Misty and her dealing and lying. Casey for her stealing, lying and killing of their grand daughter.
When have they ever acted like real parents and got angry for all the lie? JMO
Tobias…I agree 100%. If Casey/Misty was my daughter I would have grabbed them by the shoulders and shook them and told them to TELL THE TRUTH! A child’s life in both cases was at stake. The parents are enablers. Ron’s mom enables him. Crystals family enables her…instead of forcing her to get clean and be a good mom…they lie and cover for her…and Chad. Makes me NUTS!
Only once did I see Cindy push back at Casey…when she said something to the effect of “you don’t blame ME for you being here….if you hadn’t told all the lies Casey….” or something to that effect. But other than that it was tippy toe tippy toe around her. I would have been SCREAMING…”WHERE IS MY GRANDDAUGHTER??????”

Well, if they “redact” the entire tape as evidence then they won’t release the tapes. Remember, there are a lot of the tapes with Misty and Tommy that we haven’t seen either. They may be saying the tapes are off limits due to evidenciary value….who knows.
It is sounding like this chick that claims an affair with Georgie is legit from what I’ve read thus far. Even LE didn’t deny it….just said they weren’t discussing the evidence. Georgie is BUSTED! And Conway is going to have egg on his face (again) from denying this affair. First he was denying it and now he is saying “No Comment”. Cindy already had Georgies “jewels”….now she’s going to pull a “bobbit” on him and take what was left of his manhood! LMAO

I remain interested in Caylee and justice for her but I had to pull away some from that because I could not stand seeing Casey’s face or the photos of her “out looking for Caylee.” I don’t have a weak stomach but she makes me nauseous. And I had tuned out G and C a long time ago.
Cathartic - Well, my main focus has been on Haleigh in recent months but I’m still interested in the Casey case….I still follow ALL the motions that Bozo files and STILL get outraged at the antics of those folks….but it has been pretty quiet lately for the most part….then the house going into foreclosure, then Casey crying indigent and wanting the taxpapers to pay her way, and NOW Georgie having an affair….it has been pretty lively lately and with little or no info on Haleigh….it has given me something to do.
Look at all the family photos of Caylee alone smiling, Caylee with Casey smiling, Caylee singing, etc. But people never take photos of a child in distress, or with an angry parent, etc.
All photos of both Caylee and Haleigh only prove to me that those little girls loved and trusted, the way kids will do…nothing in any of the photos proves they were loved back.
If taxpayers pay for Casey’s defense it should be paid at Public Defender rates, not as billed by her private attorney and/or the other members of the dream team. Not one penny more than would be paid for a Public Defender should be spent on her defense, imo.
JB, Funny that you brought up the fact that G was out doing it when his daughter is in jail and Ron +Misty were also sneaking around at that time too. I wonder how TN and GGM Sykes felt about her spending the night all those times? I guess I am a prude cause I would never attempt that in the same house if my parents were in the next room. ewww. jmo
What about poor Aja Johnson? Does she even have any family left to plead with Lester Hobbs to release her? HIS family has made a public plea to him to release her. They all say he’s a violent and dangerous man. Aja Johnson is beginning to tear me up the way Haleigh does. Only, it seems worse for Aja because we know who has/had her and what he is capable of doing.

Cath, I agree with both of your posts. I said this once about the pictures and all hello broke out. You see pictures on the news all the time about people who were supposedly happy in pictures who just got caught murdering the other one. Look at the one recently in Calf. and the Peterson case etc.
In pictures they all look really happy. There is even a picture of Gabriels parents and him together that looks happy. jmo jmo
I’ve been thinking about the photos thing, too. Is there any evidence Caylee was abused? I mean, other than the obvious?
I dug out some old photos and have looked at a few. Looking for ones with me and my father together. I’ve only found one so far. We’re sitting on the hood of his little sports car. he has on short shorts and no shirt. I’m wearing a little summer dress and sandals. I guess I might be smiling. I might just be squinting into the sun. Our arms are touching, but he’s looking off into the distance. Not at me, nor at the camera. He was a ladies’ man, so maybe there was a pretty lady walking by.
Anyway, there are no signs of abuse, but neither does it appear the man and child in the picture have a very close relationship.
The fact of the matter is that my father began physically abusing me when I was six months old.
I didn’t start hating him for it until I was about ten years old.
Suffice to say I doubt those photos can tell us much. I think Haleigh and Ron look very engaged with each other, though. And I believe a father can love his daughter but be abusive now and then. In fact, I would go out on a limb and say it’s obvious they adore each other. I just don’t think that rules out abuse.
Tobias, that $12,000 was several years worth of back child support. It’s legitimate. It’s none of our business “where it went.”
But to help satisfy your “need to know” every G-d thing about R (so you can trash him some more) maybe taxes were due on it - three years worth. Maybe he had to pay his lawyer. I never heard that his lawyer was free like C’s was.
Maybe he used it for food and normal living expenses since by then he’d quit his job. You can pick it up from here with all the terrible things you think he did with it.
Is JVM’s show easier to stomach than NG’s? I’ve only watched JVM’s early stuff on Haleigh.
I am more curious to know what’s become of the Haleighbug funds, since we actually have a right to know in that situation.
WOOD, Yes Nancy covered it and the Johnson case. It hasnt been on for a while and the Johnson case only got a little coverage when the landfil didnt reveal any leads. I hate watching NG but its not covered anywhere else. I also hate all the Tiger bull on JVM. jmo

tobias - Also, yes !!! So sick of the Tiger stuff. I don’t think any of that was important or relevant in anyway — a lot of time, energy, and money wasted on that. But — do people, in general, care more about Tiger’s extramarital affairs than missing and endangered children? I think, in general, the answer is yes. And that’s so sad and infuriating.

When the state pays for an “indigent” it is overseen by a special organization for the purpose (the Justice Administrative Commission) which only pays for certain things and only with prior approval etc. In fact the JAC is already concerned about her declaring indigent status and from what I’ve read a JAC rep might be at the hearing to ask for proof that she even needs it. Bozo may have to open all the books etc (at least to JAC if not the public).

What ever became of the guy of interest in the Thompson case too? That has gone silent for a while???? Whatever happened in the cult like family who were abusing their other family members who buried messages in bottles? Alot of cases start out and we never see what happens in the end. jmo
Child support is not taxable. And I do want to know how that money was spent, whether it is my business or not. I want to know the same way I want to know how Haleigh donations were spent by BOTH sides, because the behaviors of all Haleigh’s family members are off the wall considering she is missing without a trace.
Re JVM, she gets under my skin sometimes but not as much as NG. JVM gave too much coverage to the Tiger Woods issue, imo. When there are missing and abused kids out there, Tiger should not matter at all.
Tobias you’ve asked before about both those things as far back as Christmas. And gotten the same responses. So sorry if I’ve gotten the “wrong” impression - all I’m doing is reading your posts.
cathartic there is a huge difference to me between interest in how “charitable donations” were used (public has a right to know) and how legitimate income was used (murky subject at best).

JB - Because Tobias has asked the same question a number of times and never misses an opportunity to bash R to the point of imagining the worst and I’ve been reading post after post after post like that (and about the kind of truck he drives etc etc) for a long, long, long time now and still find it totally inexplicable.

tobias, I am not saying this to start something with you because I don’t have the time or patience to deal with it. But your ability to lash and bash and then go into the innocent victim mode is flat amazing. You pick at Ron about everything from A to Z so much that nothing you say can really be taken seriously. Then when something like Crystal failing her drug test is mentioned you are the one saying, “let’s move on, this doesn’t have anything to do with Haleigh…” When someone confronts you about ANYTHING you are immediately a victim and offended because you were only “discussing” or “making conversation” bla bla bla. If you would have ever really listened to M2C you would be aware that she is NOT necessarily a Ron fan she just can’t stomach prejudice and injustice and TWISTING every single thing to SLANT the truth. You always lashing and bashing at Ron just almost forces her to defend him which is what makes you think she is a Ron fan. M2C just wants the truth and balance here. Which is what we should all be after IF we are really seeking the best for Haleigh.

cathartic, I too have wondered where that money went. I think the difference in it and the charity money is that the back child support Ron could “legally” spend any way he wanted to. Where the charity money must be account for. I can tell you where I think the money went but it is purely my own speculation. I think Misty took it and posted his bail when he got arrested for “trespassing” when he hit Tommy in Grandma Sykes front yard. But that is clearly just a guess, it is just that the timing fits.

I’m not trying to ruffle any feathers or start anything and I appreciate both of you explaining your comments to Tobias…but I just see a little inequality…. for instance…Tobias and I basically said the same thing and she gets jumped and I didn’t. Even when I admitted to saying the same thing so that the flogging could be shared by both of us….. it all got dumped on Tobias again. I don’t know what history there is here or what has happened in eons past but I do see some bloggers getting extra attention in the flogging department and I’m not sure why. In fact, I’m not sure why ANYONE should have to be flogged….we do still have freedom of speech here, right?
I really am not trying to stir up trouble. I have been making a very conscious effort to watch what I say and do and to try to KEEP the blogger battles from even getting started and when they’ve already started I try hard to defuse them with humor when possible. Yes, treece, I agree he can do whatever he wanted with the money. IMO, however, it seems he should have wanted to use it for a P.I. or some such group to search for Haleigh. It is possible he had other bills that had piled up during the time he did not receive that support money. It really is not a question of what he did with the money per se; it is more a question of what he might have done to find Haleigh, but didn’t. I don’t know what goes on in his head, or how he thinks; I can only go on behaviors of ALL family members in the face of a missing child, and none of them are acting like they care. JMO.

The ONLY reason I started pointing out C’s flaws was to provide some small measure toward balance for your R bashing. I have told you that before too.
If you hadn’t been incessantly bashing R the way you have for all these months (while ignoring or making light of C’s as well!), you’d have rarely heard a peep out of me about C.
Treece, the problem with hiring a PI from out of town is maybe he/she would have been treated the same way Cobra was. Something tells me that PCSO did NOT want anyone else looking in to this. Maybe because they legitimately did not want people messing with their case or maybe for ulterior reasons, but personally I think it would have been a waste of money.

Actually, I see more similarities between the As & the Sheffield/Griffis. Both wanted to make a living out of a missing child. At least the As waited a number of months before setting up their foundation. Marie was a president and Crystal a vice-president within about 4 weeks of Haleigh going missing. I wasn’t at all surprised to hear that Marie & Cindy have become friendly.

You guys are keeping me laughing. I think you and JB should be comedians.
I think it’s very difficult for parents of missing children (children missing a year or less) to know what to do.
First, they HAVE to cooperate with LE. And LE may be telling them NOT to go out searching. In fact PCSO curtailed the searches. And personally I would not want to see parents out looking in swamps etc for the body of their child.
I think all they can do is cooperate with LE (and LE would NOT like them to hire a PI I am sure), ask the public to keep looking, and raise money for posters etc (if they do it in a legitimate and honest way). I don’t think parents can or should do anything more especially when LE is still considering it an active investigation.
If LE admitted the case went cold, THEN hire a PI. Then LE could not complain about it either.

woodland…I agree with you. I think his name was Jeremiah Regan (sp?). Yes, it is odd that a deadbeat mom who refused to support her own children is vice president of a foundation just 4 weeks after one of those children go missing.
I have said it before, and say it again, I do hope LE have checked that side of the family’s computer searches in the months leading up to Haleigh disappearing. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had researched this foundation stuff before Haleigh went missing. I just don’t get how making money off this became their priority in those weeks immediately following her disappearance.
KIR, in all seriousness, that is true. I know a number of people that are sincerely suffering depression, anxiety, irritability and/or insomnia from the stress and worry of this case. Besides Haleigh still being gone the ups and downs of all the side shows have just been exhausting. We hear some “good” news and get all excited thinking this will bring the case forward just to have our bubbles busted that it was nothing. Example, the drug bust. We all thought the TRUTH will come out soon now. It has been a roller coaster with our emotions. We all need to embrace the sunshine when we can and get out in the fresh air and probably spend a little less time on our computers. JMO
And TJ, Jan and Simon, I am praying for all of you also and hoping that you are healing.

This past weekend I had a terrible meltdown upon reading Simon’s article and TJs and Jan’s statements. I could actually feel their pain when I was reading, and with no radio show on sunday, I almost felt like something was missing all day.

Polly Klaas went missing on Oct 1st.. on Oct 23rd the Polly Klaas Foundation was started!!!

Hope you are feeling better and that you had a great birthday.
You probably already know this, but in case you don’t, Mark Klaas did not start the Polly Klaas Foundation, nor does he hold a position within it. It was started by the volunteers. The Polly Klaas search, and how that organization came to be is a wonderful and inspiring story. If you go to their website you can read about the massive search (the first of it’s kind), and what inspired the volunteers to start the organization.
The organization that Mark Klaas runs is called the “Klaas Kids Foundation”. It was not established until 2004, long after Polly was laid to rest. It has been instrumental in bringing about legislative changes, and again, you can read about it and all they have accomplished on their website.
Haleighbug on the other hand, was started by Crystal & Marie, with Marie as President, and Crystal as vice president, and they made it clear on their website that the monies raised by it were to go directly to the Sheffield/Griffis family. Very big differences!

Yes, I know how it was started. Also Polly’s mother Eve Nichol is on the board of the foundation. While I know it’s not the same, it’s just an example on how/why these organizations get started. Nothing more, nothing less!!

Obviously there is no questioning the motives behind how the Polly Klaas Foundation started. It sounds like a very special group of volunteers worked very hard on that case. What a shame they weren’t involved in Haleigh’s case.
And hasn’t Mark Klaas gone on to do wonderful things…and accomplished so much. Sorry, but sadly Caylee and Haleigh’s families aren’t running the same sort of operations as these foundations. Kind of the opposite, at best.
