ShawnHS and Spacely,

I couldn't have said it any better myself...awesome points.

You'll soon see that Mr Kent merely passes on all the liberal rhetoric blindly, without referencing the facts, unless one considers the occasional link to wikipedia or the huffington post as a factual reference point.

I thought the hearings were hilarious. Obama constantly interrupted every republican speaker, in true narcissistic fashion.

How can you increase Medicare benefits and at the same time cut 1/3 of the Medicare budget?

Perhaps you should spend a little more time actually reading the bill, rather than listening to the democratic rhetoric about it.

The increase to Medicare benefits refers to the multitude of uninsured the dems plan to add to the rolls of Medicare.

Yet, there will not be enough funding to pay for those already on the plan.

Yeah, they really thought this one through.

And why did the nation need a televised meeting of the dems NOT listening to anything the republicans brought to the table?

If this bill is so fantastic, why is Pelosi trying to convince house democrats that a vote to pass it is worth giving up their careers as elected officials?

Why was Obama afraid to let McCain speak?

Republicans remind me of my wife who is always saying no, no, no ! for every thing without a good reason.
------------------
Democrats are in control. If their plan is so brilliant, why haven't they passed a health care bill by now? They don't need one Republican vote.

I'm sure the Democrats intend to drag out any vote until after November elections, under the guise of course that Republicans are holding things up.

Where do socialists think the money comes from to pay for "free" health care?

Medical costs would come down significantly through competition if medical plans were accepted across state lines. Why wouldn't Democrats want to try that for a "step", instead of radically changing 20% of the economy's GDP without any idea if it would work? What happens to the economy if the Democrats plan doesn't work?
---------------------
"Republicans don’t give a damn for any but the financially well off and the drug and for-profit medical insurance companies that put them in office."

Have you ever looked at Obama's connections to the largest health care related union in the country aka SEIU?

Republicans remind me of my wife who is always saying no, no, no ! for every thing without a good reason. Even after being explained so clearly in simple language during the summit by Obhama and other Democrats , Republicans do not seem to understand that all the parts of HCR are so inter connected that doing step by step is not practicable and so silly. If they do try to do it step by step, I am sure Republicans will try to stall it or block it so that it will be another couple of decades before it will resemble any thing of the sort of HCR being offered now by Democrats.
