There were some quotes by Sgt Nettles on Feb 11 2009 in a news article about the case, so he was “on scene”.

Officer Nettles may not be the sgt that Misty was referring to I just thought it an odd coincidence that his first name is Jason and both R & M had been talking about a Jason.

Wow. Not only have you identified a specific person (whom we really don’t know if they are connected with this case) but you have accused him of prescription drug crimes (in conjunction with another specific person).

I love the way Hank Sr almost talks about his Dr shopping charge with M….Then stops himself and says “I don’t want to talk about it…” LOL! Uh yea, you know it’s being recorded….you both keep mentioning it.

Absolutely…I had almost posted that very thought. That there seemed to have been an acknowledgement of some sorruption on some level but that it was being taken care of….I’m wondering just how long these two have been BFF.

DCF’s job is to decide the custody of Jr. That’s the only legitimate reason they could have to be interviewing M. And even then it’s hearsay - from a potentially scorned woman no less. So it makes no sense to me at all. I mean what’s DCF going to do if C fails her next drug test? Give custody back to R while he’s in jail? I don’t think so.

With all the children who are being neglected and abused this very minute, who have NO protection, I would think DCF would have better things to do.

I think DCF’s investigation should have been redacted from the tapes. It presumably is about the custody of a minor and is on-going.
So that’s the first thing I don’t understand.

As far as filing charges because of what M said - her accusation may not be enough proof for DCF to bring charges. Besides I kind of hope DCF is too busy “protecting” children who are minors now rather than spending time and money prosecuting adults after the fact based on hearsay.

The other thing I don’t understand is what rules/regs DCF operates under. Can they take the word of an accused drug dealer and possibly scorned-woman about the father? What is DCF’s goal anyway? C already has temporary custody. R has not been tried or convicted on the drug charges against him. Is DCF going to have its own little kangaroo court and judge him and let C have full custody forever before he’s tried and convicted in a real court? What is DCF trying to accomplish?

This case is like being caught up in pergutory.

What is there to ROFLMAO about? A child is missing, this is not funny.

Re crime dropping, I highly doubt it. There is no evidence Misty sold to anyone but the copper who set her up….they don’t have her on even one drug deal outside of those to do with the UC, which will no doubt make it easier for Fields to establish entrapment.

LE watched her for a month (and probably longer) and never saw even one other deal. Hardly a crime wave, when the only crimes committed were instigated by a police officer.
