News Talk 97.3 the SKY has just received 6 calls Misty Croslin recently made from the St. Johns Jail in St. Augustine, FL.
We were hoping to have more video and more conversations from Tommy Croslin and Donna Brock, but that is not a possibility at this moment due to some challenges at the St. Johns Sheriff’s Office media center and the need to further redact parts of the telephone conversations.
Also included is a phone call from Ronald Cummings while at the Putnam County Jail.
Ronald Cummings, Misty and Tommy Croslin, along with Hope Sykes and Donna Brock were arrested January 20, 2010 on multiple charges of trafficking in controlled prescribed medications of oxycodone and hydrocodone.
Ronald Cummings is the father of missing Satsuma girl Haleigh Cummings who was taken from her home where Misty Croslin was baby sitter her and her brother February 9, 2009. Although the drug case and the investigation into the child’s disappearance are two separate cases, investigators are questioning some of these suspects about the missing 6-year-old what might have happened to her.

Simon why is everyone leaving out Misty’s mention of Art Harris helping her bond out, yet they make a point to mention everyone else???
From what I understand, Art is not offering to post her bond; rather, he has been reporting on the possibility of others in Nevada (possibly including Leonard Padilla) posting her bond. He has also been reporting on her family’s reaction to that news.
I pray that they come to their senses. Any type of publicity they’re seeking is not worth destroying the only real opportunity the police have of finding this child.
Poor Timmy has to pay $25 a day for his phone and give Mom and Dad money, even though they have no money for gas or even stamps, so the little selfish thugs in jail can call because they are bored and have no one to talk to all day. Misty sounds very selfish…
And now Padilla is bailing Misty out thinking she will talk? Sound familiar? She was to messed up to remember anything IMO. Plus, her attorney will tell her to keep her mouth shut, just like Bozo told Casey.

Misty does sound selfish but at least she is going to get an education while she is in Prison. Misty has come to terms that she must learn from her mistakes. Misty reminds me of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. She is never going to leave her own back yard once she gets out.
I notice they are aware of their calls being recorded so they watch what they say as to try and not leak out any info.
I do think it is wise that Mr. Fields does not want anyone else to get her out,but himself. He understands what a circus it will be.

They may be a dysfunctional family ( the Croslins ), but they do not spare the I love yous to one another.
Ron seems quite at home. He is playing cards and sounds upbeat. Writing letters to his grandma, mother and Crystal.
This is so sad. Misty ask can her mother come and see her and Her brothers says she cant come cause shes on probation. What a mess that family is in. Sad to me.

Those calls are interesting. It was a little hard to understand (hear) Misty. Unless I misunderstood, it sounded like Robert Fields, Misty’s attorney, does not want anyone bailing Misty out. It sounded like he does not want Cobra bailing Misty out.
They sure do use the F word a lot. In one of the calls Misty really went wild with the F word.
I noticed that Misty’s brother referred to Donna as “that Donna bi$ch.”

I forgot to mention that we now know the messages ( not sure which one of the messages the I love you or whoever did this I will kill them ) from Rons interview from jail was for MIsty. This info is in one of her calls. It was apparent that she made sure not to talk about Haleigh in the phone calls with Timmy. She said sternly twice to Timmy I don’t know anything. It was not a whiney, crying voice it was a like a warning tone that she cannot talk about that. I also heard that her attorney is trying to write up a plea bargain in the calls.

Side shows and more side shows. We know what we are dealing with—drug users/dealers. Are we surprised by anything they do/say? All this “new information” and NONE of it leading to Haleigh. The comments I am reading about who did it/could have done it/may have done it/had motive to do it/had means to do it/Misty is the key, are the same commments I read 6-8 months ago. Nothing new. In a year we are no closer to finding Haleigh. Will someone “talk” because of these charges? I really dont think so. I think a year was enough time to make this bunch talk. I dont think they are going to lead to Haleigh. I think the pressure should be put on LE to look elsewhere. If we dont, in the end, we will have more questions than answers, and all the prayers in the world are not going to help.

I have faith in LE and trust that they have evidence. We are just getting an inside view of what has been going on in the recent months. Misty is awfully cozy with Rons side of the family until he gets busted then all bets are off. Why is that? Why the sudden turn from Misty was wonderful to now we think she knows and she got Ron into all of this? Their seems to be alot of his relatives around during the bust. Hope, Aunt Katrina, and we may find out John and Linda are elatives too in the end. jmo
I was happy to hear Ron is sending Crystal a letter. I hope she is telling jr that none of this is his fault and that his daddy loves him! Just like i hope Ron was doing the whole time these kids were growing up! I can also tell the Croslins love eachother and would do anything for eachother! My husband would say im alot like Timmy! I haven’t listened to all the tapes yet, just Misty’s and Dad. Heartbreaking, heart wrenching. Though I agree with the release, it’s still a Pandora’s Box. A moral issue. Listening into the lives of others, especially during their times of trouble, regardless whether self inflicted or not, morally is questionable. For we know many will use and abuse these priviledges and information for nefarous, even criminal reasons.
Anyone that finds Joy out of others pain, suffering, wrong doings, imprisonment are pouring hot coals upon their very own heads. I shudder to think of what will occur from now on with these releases.
No, I don’t think Misty has alot more to tell LE or anyone. LE needs to listen, and quit rebuking what their told. They have a theory, and apparently only one, and their not gonna be told, sold, persuaded or convinced otherwise. Could be the mistake that causes this mystery to not be solved.
Poster above mentioned this families many “I love yous”, yes, even poor, lowly scum of the Earth (as some believe they are though they don’t see their own faults), love too. It tears my heart strings to witness a family put into a situation intentionally that they can’t have the resources to fix and make right.
Unless LE knows Misty, Tommy, Hope and Donna are involved in what has happened to Haleigh, this drug situation is wrong. Punish them for their wrong doing. It’s no biggie, they haven’t done anything else hundreds of thousands of other people do, get scripts, buy and sell pills. It’s against the law, I’m not rebuking this. I’m rebuking this strategy and path LE is taking, sorry for shocking.
The way I see it, you get more with respect, honor and standing on a strong foundation in dealing with people, even criminals, than you do acting foolish, hard nosed, immoral yourself. Making Misty’s bond over a million dollars, ridiculous. Makes Putnam look like a bunch of dumb dumbs. That’s my nice word to call them. I think their bullying Misty, a very young girl, and if she were my daughter, and was innocent of this mystery concerning Sweetheart of the year, Haleigh Cummings, I would be all over LE. They would beg for mercy.
As I see it, if my child, now 18 grown as Misty is, this started when she was ending 16 years of age. LE is bordering immoral behavior in my opinion. I hold a higher accountability to those in authority than I do those that are not, those that are of weaker constitutions, weaker minds and strength.

Ooh, if and I still hold firm, til we have evidence/proof that if Ron is innocent, what’s being done to him is wrong. I’m not speaking of just this drug incident, I’m speaking of the entire big picture, drug incident included. Their being discriminated against, used because evidentally some can’t do their jobs honestly, vigorously and competantly. Had I had the resources/authority in Florida to manage/run this investigation, we would have answers today. At least, if it was family involved, Ron, Misty, Tommy, Sheffields, Grandparents. If it is a stranger abduction, I at least could have it narrowed down in that direction.

Of course there is a motive. Anything from a SO, to human traffiking, to concealing a dead body due to accidental drug OD, to getting rid of Haleigh to prevent child support, to hiding haleigh to keep her out of drugs, to killing Haliegh to keep her quiet to……..

It was a predator who knew the lifestyle of Misty, and took advantage of it while she was passed out and Ron was at work.

I will gladly eat crow if ANY of this bunch knows anything that will lead LE to Haleigh. I firmly believe though, after following this case from day 1, that this is a cold case. LE assumed Misty did it from day 1, and did little to look in any other direction. LE is STILL insisting that Misty holds the key, just as LE insisted that Stephanie Crowes brother killed her, even AFTER a transient was found to have her blood all over his shirt, and found GUILTY in her death. I believe LE LOST ANY OPPORTUNITY TO FIND HALEIGH, AND SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

Remember every one these calls were made real early after the arrests.

Tobias, if Ron wrote Crystal Sheffield, and not his sister Crystal, my goodness Darling, she now has custody of his son, whom he’s raised since he entered this world and hasn’t lived a day without him or custody of him. I have all hopes these two families will get their selves together and work together like a family concerning Haleigh and Jr. We know of the ones who intentionally caused division between these two family camps, some family members, some public, and some hired gun duds. Imo, I am still holding onto the idea that LE has more inside info that they are not going to share until everything is complete. They have who they want and there is a reason for it that only they know. It has been a year since but at least they have something which I feel will eventually be the full truth of everything. I continue to pray for the truth about Haleigh and the right person/people to be caught. The worst part is they find out it wasn’t any of them, that it was a random homicide/kidnapping/etc.and they continue to search for her body. I already thought however they were pretty certain someone she knew took her. (I do know that mistakes can be made as well)She could end up being like Jaycee Dugard and found years later- one could only hope. I just really feel like they have some kind of something that we just don’t have the priveledge of knowing quite yet. Will continue to pray for this sweet child to be found and all of this resolved.

These are not the same tapes you saw on TV….these are brand new audio files and the CD came directly from Sgt Mulligan’s hands to mine shorlty before noon today at the St.Johns County Sheriff’s Office in St. Augustine, FL.

No one in this blog doesn’t put Haleigh first ! But these players have such a drug and alcohol problem from a young age that I think they might have brain damage. Most professionals say a teenager’s brain is not developed and if on drugs it kills cells and stops growth. Could it be they’re telling nothing because they can’t remember or so paranoid they lie? I have someone in my family that has gone this route and even sober at 45 years old he now acts like a 9 year old and relapses regularly . They can’t seem to function in a normal environment. Jail seems to be a way of life for them so the don’t have to accept responsibilities of life. Rehab is only a solution if the person truly is ready to work to change their life. They all say they’re going to turn their life around when in jail but very few do. Forgive me for what I’m going to say but most inmates find GOD until they’re released. They become paranoid and don’t care about anyone but themselves. I see all the signs in these people with their conversations and actions. I’m no professional but just someone who never dreamed this would be a part of my “middle class” world. I know it seems that this” Satsuma Bunch” are on drugs. I just hope one of these people will finally tell what has happened to this child. My heart aches for the life this child had to endure. Thank you Simon and TJ for keeping us informed.
Tobias, I responded to your question, that’s what we do here. The rest of my post was just my thoughts collectively concerning the topic of this thread and the latest events unfolding. Wasn’t a complete post to you, okay? I figured you would be able to get that and I wouldn’t have to point it out in my post earlier, sorry I assumed too much.
Frame and set up, not to you Tobias, I’m on to more thoughts and responses to others posts here also. LE has connived, constructed and is behind this entire mess going on right now. We’re sitting here responding to these latest events, watching Nancy Grace and Art, ugh, and all the other after shocks all because????? Because LE made up a sting, involved Misty, Ron, Hope, Tommy and Donna, yep they fell for it. But this is all transpiring because of LE. This whole ordeal, the entire mess everyone is in, the families having undue hardships concerning their loved ones, all because LE set up a frame job.
What’s the matter? Cant make or catch them, so you easily made it possible for them to be in these predicaments beyond anyone’s reasonable control to fix or right. This is just plain dumb stupid. People have been self medicating since the beginning of time, it will never stop. Plants, herbs, chemicals, medicines, blah blah, This situation is overkill dumb. Never have I seen LE be allowed to mess in peoples lives and treat them this way.
Show me the evidence that Ron and Misty has done anything to Haleigh, one piece of forensics, anything proving they did something.
LE is placing Misty in such danger that they ought to have charges placed on them along with some other talking heads. If Misty has anything to do with Haleigh’s disappearance, we need her alive to hopefully solve this mystery. I honestly am starting to wonder if they don’t want her harmed, gone, so the monkeys off their backs. I’ve seen terrorists given more protection and civil rights than these american citizens. Then on a made up drug sting to target these people. It’s wrong.

We do have to hold onto faith Haleigh is alive, as there is no evidence indicating death. Even LE has indicated they believe she is very well alive also.
As Boldone keeps pointing out though, reality keeps creeping in, the year marks coming up, this case is cold. The only reason we have this circus is because PCSO was getting and feeling the heat for no no no public news releases, no family communications, riling the public to take action against their public snub and egos and non willingness to take needed opportunities to give minimal pressers as to keep Haleigh’s face and name out there, pleading for tips and info like all other LE agencies do, duh.
We are dealing with inexperienced, poor, under educated people in this case. LE has got nothing, nothing to the point they have to concoct a criminal farce to frame these small time pill poppers and turn it into a drug cartel, LOL If they are so interested in the drug aspect of this case, or if it runs parrell with why Haleigh is missing, why in the Hades wasn’t Ron and Misty and the players drug tested that night, next day or within the first two weeks? Why? They had Ron’s priors, they knew he maybe a small time petty pill popper and pot smoker.
LE is and was more interested in hauling in Misty and Ron for selling pills to their UC officer, making the crime up and available for them to step into than taking into custody vital forensic evidence.

Anne, I apologize to everyone for being riled as Toby put it. He’s correct. I’m tired of the shananigans. I take the law, criminal activitiy, rights, and prosecution seriously. The abduction of a missing child not only more seriously, but captures my heart til I will come out placing everyone into account. I expect authorities to be what they are, enforces and protectors of the laws and human life. Period.
What good will it do, we have Haleigh missing, if we destroy her family before she gets back home? That’s what frightens me. Will she have a family to come home too? Does anybody care that these families are victims? I would be devastated if my child was taken out in the middle of the night from our home. I couldn’t live with myself, the guilt I would put myself through for not doing something, not protecting. I honestly don’t know how they breath, it’s got to be tough. I can’t keep watching the bullying of these people, without one iota of legitimate facts put forth justifying their actions at any time so far in this case.

Families fall apart? What kind of family will Haleigh come home? Hopefully not the one she left. If it were not for them she probably would not have been taken in the first place, That child probably never had a chance to grow up safe. All these people do not need to bail any of them out.
it is like a man said on Nancy Grace tonite Misty needs no hope of being bailed out. When all hope of freedom is gone then she will talk because then it will be in her best interest to make a deal and tell what happened. she never voiced any concern about Haley on the tapes.
Those tapes make me feel very sad for Misty. I hope life improves for her. She hasn’t had much of one, that’s for sure.
Rather than judging her as harshly as many do, I wish every one would just thank their lucky stars they didn’t grow up the way she did.

I will admit when I am wrong. And I could be. I have been a firm beleiver that Haleigh’s disapearance is a result of a sexual predator who knew Ron’s schedule, and new Misty was passed out.
Now my mind is changing. I did watch NG last night. She had a guest on who is head of a family program and listening to the tapes she aired, he analysed a conversation Misty had with her brother. Her brother told her he has no felonies, he will be sitting for probably 4 months. Then he mentioned someone’s name. I couldn’t make it out. This person is “talking” and he didn’t want to say anything to Misty over the phone due to phone taping.
Now I think, someone knows something, and Misty has “heard” stuff.(About Haleigh)
I don’t think Misty directly had anything to do with Haleigh’s disaperrance, but I could be apolozing for that too tomorrow by saying I was wrong.

Misty to my knowledge has not talked with Misty in jail. I believe the clip you saw is where his wife Lindsey was visiting him. I know Tommy said he has put in request for an inmate to inmate visitation on that clip, but it not yet been granted.
cooline, Haleigh does have a family, that loves her. Until we know who is involved and guilty, and we don’t know, regardless of your opinion, the family needs to be united.
Haleigh was loved, cared for and apparently very happy, many pics have been published, more so than any cases I’ve followed. She’s glowing with smiles, happiness, content, health and prospering. Haleigh was wanted and loved by her families. No one has a right to tread on sacred ground concerning this family nor question their care and concern. Everyone in this family isn’t involved with Haleigh’s removal from her home.
In the very beginning, Ron, Crystal and the families were on bended knees praying for Haleigh’s safe return. United in finding her. Then the divisive minded ones intruded and wrongly did their evil deeds. Had they stood united, I believe LE would have handled this case totally different and perhaps this day there wouldn’t still be an unsolved case. Haleigh is America’s 2010 Sweetheart, hopefully being the face to keep us all reminded we need to remember our missing and do the little things we each are able to do. Remembrance of the missing, til we have some answers. We’re seeing old cases, 20 and 30 years old being solved now a days, with the help of scientific forensic evidence, and people keeping the missing in Remembrance.

If he bails her out it would be a huge mistake.
He’d get nothing out of her because she doesn’t want to go back to jail. It would be Casey Anthony all over again.But the difference between Casey and MIsty is that Misty is very likely to run once she is out.
And after hearing the calls with her”daddy” I hope if she does run she comes to”michigan” so I can catch her lying ass and send her back. I don’t get the whole”bailing someone out” thing.Once they are out they dont want to go back so the last thing they are going to do is incriminate themselves further to wind back up in jail.

OMG it’s all clear now.
Maybe when her dad was talking about how misty should have went to “Michigan” it was code for Massachusetts!
If she runs off after Padilla makes the mistake of bailing her out, the cops need to go to her brothers house in Mass.
Here is the one main thing, that stands out in my mind.
When Haleigh first went missing, and Ron and Misty were on, I believe, “The Today Show”, and the interviewer asked Misty why she changed her story, Misty glanced at Ron, as if asking if she should tell. Ron ignored her, and then Misty just shrugged her shoulders, and said, “I don’t know”. I believe Ron knows something, I really do.
Misty loved the attention. She thought she was a celebritiy this whole time. She did not have any conception of how upsetting and horrible it has been, to have a little girl vanish. She did another interview, by herself, had her hair and makeup done, new clothes, was strutting around the airport like she was the next big star.
Both of them, Ron and Misty make me sick. What was it, 3 weeks had gone by that Haleigh had gone missing, and he proposed to Misty. There she was, on camera flaunting her ring that Ron’s grandmother gave them. No concern that an innocent five year old is gone. Then there she was, climbing the steps to the courthouse with Ron, to get her marriage license, waving at the press. Ron, just walking around, hands deep in his pockets, not even waiting for Misty to catch up to him, after they left the courthouse, marriage license in hand.
I do not feel sorry for any of them. They did this to themselves, got busted and are now locked up.
Misty, boo-hooing that she’s starving. They aren’t feeding her. Well NG, read her lunch and dinner meal for that day, and she is being fed, and better then some people have on their tables these days.
It’s like now, “Haleigh, Haileigh who”??

It is not hard to understand why Haliegh is out of sight. All of the side shows take front and center stage, just as they did with Caylee. The focus of all this media attention is on RON AND MISTY, and EVERYTHING they say and do. They ARE front and center stage. There is just no room for Haleigh.
That is why I am trying to ignore the side shows and FOCUS ON WHAT WILL HELP FIND HALEIGH. I have seen and heard NOTHING from this circus that even gives a clue as to where Haleigh is.
BJB, I would have to agree with you!! I have only gleaned from these tapes, that the Croslins have serious love for one another, albeit dysfunction runs rampant.

Misty, Tommy, and maybe 1 or 2 more people have information about Haleigh. Info they’ve “sat on” all this time. They both admit they have something more to tell LE using it as bartering chips. TC indicates thats LE is after BOTH Ron & Misty. TC is ready to talk for some smokes. Misty wants to make a plea deal….Ron needs to be carefull of snitch(es)….they have more info….we’ll see who gives it up first….Tommy is ready and Misty won’t want TC to get ahead of her….so they are racing down the finish. TC knows he’s not getting out anytime soon, so creature comforts will help loosen his lips.
