Well I think it would be fair to say that it was another lively program. Or regular panel of Simon and Jan Barrett, Denny Griffin, TJ Hart, and Levi Page were in action.
I have to admit that TJ was on top form, the subject of missing children is not a humorous one, however every case does have its humorous aspects. There has been a bit of an inside press joke going on for some months now concerning the use of the word ‘Exclusive’ by various news organizations and reporters in this case. Jacksonville.com ran a story this morning on the subject. I have to admit that when I read it I just about fell out of my chair laughing. So to anyone that was listening in, that was where TJ was coming from.
Much of todays discussion centered around the ‘Famous Five’ that are currently cooling their heels at the tax payers expense in various law enforcement locations. I had thought that once this merry band was behind bars with huge bond ammounts assigned the tactic by Law Enforcement would be to offer reduced charges or even immunity to whoever decided to talk. Clearly that is not the case. They seem to have gone in the opposite direction.
Ronald Cummings has been moved from his vacation home in Flagler County back to Putnam County and put in the ‘general population’ of the jail. This situation is likely not ideal for his peace of mind. It does not take much investigative shoe leather to realize that directly or indirectly the Haleigh Cummings disappearance has resulted in a number of people being incarcerated on drug charges. It would be hard to believe that many people in the Purnam facility are pleased with Ronald Cummings.
Misty Croslin’s brother Tommy is also finding himself in some ever deeper water. His ante had already been upped by being placed on a ‘no bond’ hold. Well now he finds that more charges are being placed against him. The theft of a gun from a neighbor. And my all time favorite, the theft of two bottles of Dawn liquid detergent! I will bet that LE had a good chuckle over this charge.
Donna Brock also finds herself in an untenable position. She faces a somewhat unusual court appearance to determin exactly who she is, what she owns, and where she lives. This is a wonderful opportunity for a serious fishing expedition.
Misty Croslin and Hope Sykes seemed to have dodged the bullet so far. One can speculate that LE feels that with Misty on almost a $1 million bond it is unlikely that she will be getting out of jail any time soon. Hope Sykes is a dark horse, it is possible that she was merely collateral damage in the drug sweep.

I doubt that there are many folks in Putnam liking him much. But perhaps it’s for other reasons besides the HaLeigh “attention”.
There could have been many reasons for moving Ron back to Putnam, but LE has the upper-hand in this chess game, now. LE either has the information they need, or they want to increase the pressure on all of the players. I wonder if they will keep the famous five spererated for awhile longer. Does anyone know if Ron is in General Population, now? What about Misty?

I haven’t a clue. Some folks wash cars with dish washing liquid. I wouldn’t wash my car with Dawn. In my opinion, that brand of suds is some strong stuff, and can take the paint right off your vehicle.

I don’t know if Tommy has some kind of cleptomania or urge for this “sneak thievery.” But it is crazy. I wondered about the dish soap and towels - I think only Lindsey has a job, right? Of all the adults in that MH? And she goes to school too. So they can’t have much money. Maybe this was T’s way of bringing home stuff for the household (while he picked up cool things for himself like guns and games). What a punk.

I was thinking along the lines that maybe Tommy needed items to clean something with - maybe the stolen towels were to replace towels that were no longer usable.

I did not think of the possibility that T needed those items in connection with Haleigh. Is that what you’re suggesting? Oh, gosh. Hope not.

And it’s possible that T stole a lot of other stuff that people just didn’t notice. How many times have I thought, “Well, I could have sworn I had another box of detergent” but I couldn’t find it. But I’d never think it was stolen unless there had been signs of a break-in. And if there had been such signs I would not be checking on the whereabouts of my detergent! LOL! I’d check to see if the TV and computer were still here. So he could have stolen a lot more things that people just didn’t realize at the time. (Gotten in more easily - not having to break in).

No, she was in jail - being interviewed. Why would she throw that out to LE? it was very petty theft. UNLESS it has something to do with something bigger.
We also have Tommy’s weird behavior - one example of which was to state to authorities that he had indeed received a call from Ron (I’m not thinking of the wrong brother, am I) the night Haleigh disappeared and was asked by Ron to go check the MH, which he did and found no one home.
Tommy throws Misty under the bus, Misty throws Tommy under the bus. BUT, they are such good friends that they deal drugs together?

They had to have because of who the police contacted as a victim. The lady at the 2nd property sold it in August 2009. She had been on vaction when the break in occured. So, the question is….When did she go on vacation?

HGm - that’s what we’re trying to find out. If the dates of the robberies (that are known so far - there may have been more) were on or right after Haleigh’s disappearance. Don’t know yet.

One can very rarely be sure of anything on the net (especially people’s motives).

You answered a question for me that I was wondering about. It was the part of the discussion that Ron could be under suspicion of being involved in Haleighs disappearance. That even though he was stated as being cleared back in August they may have new info that we do not know about. First I have heard that the time clocks were in the process of being changed out. I found this very interesting. Someone could of came forward with info that makes his alibi not so air tight.
I am suspicious of him, even though I was not in the beginning. I just hope its a suspicion; not fact.
I feel so sad for Teresa and Annette they have suffered an enormous loss this last year. That being said I do feel they need to be angry with Ron. It was Rons actions that now has left them without Jr. If Ron had not been out trafficking drugs they would not be feeling this additional pain. There is noone else to blame, but Ron.
My prayers go out to Crystal and her family and the pain they have also endured. I believe Crystal has her second chance to right her wrongs and she will stand strong and be the mom these children need and make better choices for them and their enviroment.
m2c-I am not a religious person, besides my religion is different than her’s.
Either way, we all believe in one God…and I only ask that he give the family and the rest of her “new” family closure by bringing her home.
BOLDONE3 - My comment about religion was meant to point out that someone can appear religious and still stab you in the back, use you, gossip about you, etc. Happens all the time. And these people proclaim their “fill-in-the-blank” religion and otherwise seem “religious.”
It’s just that until you really know someone, you can’t rely on the appearance or impression of that person being religious to mean what you might think it means.

About PDM. It seems to me that LE would have checked that first and a company like PDM is not gonna fool around with LE. So IF anything “new” has cropped up it would have to be something like an employee who had not told the truth back then (or something like that).
So I still have my doubts about anything being screwy with PDM for those reasons.

You could be right m2c. I just found that interesting. The only thing I had heard was the time clock they had did a hand scan. This must of been the new one, but if it had not been put in yet someone could of punched him in or out. You never know. That is why it could be interesting. Plus I had heard out of Palatka that the times were being written in at the time. I was not sure if that was a rumor or fact. Who knows perhaps someone did come forward from PDM. Just thinking about the possibilities.
I can understand people’s frustrations but I honestly don’t believe Crystal or Ronald had anything to do with it. IMHO the accusations that that they might be are a result of the bigger picture. Crystal’s chosen absence and Ronald’s choices I think make some people feel Ronald and Crystal are responsible on some level. True or not true that is a another can of worms. Guilty of actually being physically involved, I don’t believe so.

I believe LE has known for awhile what took place the evening Haliegh went missing,but they need solid evidence to back it up.I believe that they are counting on the recent arrests to give them that one missing piece to tie it all together.I don’t recall it being released as to how employees actually recorded their time,but I also believe the LE are not giving up to the public everything they already know.I believe they actually have evidence they’ve been collecting from the 911 call through the present and are still needing something to tie it all together.I continue to pray for Haliegh and all the other innocent people that have suffered,and also I pray that LE will prevail.There needs to be closure and whomever the guilty,needs to be punished by the legal system.No one knows what happened yet,it’s only theories,but I believe the answers are close at hand.

I don’t believe this girl is with holding anything. Is she guilty of making choices consistent with the only life she has ever known? Yes. Is she guilty of treating herself as she has been treated which is poorly? Yes Was she zonked out and could sleep through a train wreck? Yes Was Haleigh exposed to people who were people that placed her at high risk situations Yes. Should of the adults in Haleigh’s life expected Misty to make different choices than the only thing she has known? No Was that even Misty’s responsibility? No.
She was a 17 year old child left to babysit someones children there was no with holding information on Misty’s behalf. The adults in Haleigh’s life that were her actual parents one knew what the Croslin family and sources around them were like and other parent just choice not to ask enough to find out. I don’t believe they deserve this and certainly not Haleigh but blaming Misty is really getting away from the actual issues that need to be addressed.
