Caylee Anthony is the little girl that disappeared in mid June 2008 but wasn’t reported missing until 31 days later by her grandmother. Yes, her grandmother NOT by her own mother. Her mother claimed she had been doing her own private investigating trying to find her daughter during that time. Casey Anthony claimed she spent the time looking for her daughter but the question remains, why in the world would she expect to find little Caylee in nightclubs dancing and drinking at night when this beautiful little girl was only 2 years old. I am pretty sure it would be illegal for a club to let a child that age to party with the adults.
Not only was she looking in nightclubs but she was spotted in places like Blockbusters with her then boyfriend renting movies and she was also caught on cameras in places like Target shopping, buying stuff like beer, and lingerie. The thing is she was not buying these things with her own money. She was using her former friend, Amy Huizenga’s checkbook and writing checks off the account without her permission.
Casey appeared in court yesterday ad she plead guilty to the check fraud charges that she had been charged with. She made a statement saying, “I just want everyone to know I’m sorry for what I did … I take complete and full responsibility for my actions. And I’d like to sincerely apologize to Amy. I wish I would have been a better friend.” She was seen crying in court after she was found guilty on the 6 counts of check fraud. I hope she doesn’t think that will gain sympathy for her from the public. Most of the public was hoping for a stiffer sentence. Casey only sheds tears when they benefit herself personally.
Although the prosecutors asked for a 5 year sentence Judge Stan Strickland sentenced her to credit time served and an additional one year of supervised probation. In addition she was ordered to pay $6000 in court costs which she reportedly considered to be exorbitant.
Also in court on Friday Judge Strickland granted the defense permission to allow the ex-wife of Roy Kronk, the man who found Caylee’s remains on December 11, 2008 to be deposed under oath. According to the defense team his ex-wife, Jill Kerley was married to Kronk for about 4 months and her testimony is material because they believe it can prove that Kronk should be a suspect in the case. Apparently Kerley lives in Tennessee and she is tool ill to travel.
In my opinion I have to ask why she is saying this about her ex-husband now. If she truly thought this how come she didn’t speak up when he first found Caylee’s remains? One would think she would call and say something about it the minute she heard that he was the one claiming to find her. It just sounds a bit too convenient to be telling all this late in the case.
The defense team also had filed a motion to stop the Orange County jail from taping Casey while she meets with her attorneys. Thankfully the judge denied this motion which I agree with 100%. Why should she get special privileges? In fact as a US Citizen I feel insulted that they would even consider asking for special privileges for her.
She now is a convicted felon with six counts of check fraud against her. She can no longer play the little miss innocent that has never been in trouble before. Besides one can be innocent of ever being in any kind of trouble and still kill someone. There always has to be a first time for even the cruelest killers. So using her innocent past with the law is certainly no reason to believe she is innocent in killing her daughter.
Caylee didn’t deserve to lose her life. She was a small child, a baby still that had her whole life ahead of her. She was full of life and that was ripped away from her. The person responsible for this needs to pay dearly for it and in my opinion Casey Anthony is that person. Hopefully her wanna-be-dream-team doesn’t get lucky in this case. I pray the state wins it. Caylee needs justice so she can rest in peace.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThis is a WIN for the prosecution as now the MAGGOT Casey Anthony will go into her murder trial with felony convictions. I don’t think for a minute it was HER idea to plead guilty to this check fraud. I’m sure BOZO had to tell her there was NO hope for being found not guilty on the check fraud and that it would be better for her to apologize and take responsibility to show the potential jury pool how she takes responsibility for her actions. I mean they have her on video using the checks. How did they EVER think they could fight this? She should have pled guilty to the check fraud a LONG time ago and quit wasting time with all the motions to dismiss, etc. I guess mommy and daddy will have to pay the $6000 court costs that Casey is being made to pay for the check fraud case. There is always someone around to clean up Casey’s messes for her. If she isn’t found guilty of Caylee’s murder she won’t be safe to walk the streets! So many people hate her there will be nowhere she can go that will be safe. She’ll probably get the dealth penalty faster if she is found innocent because some whacko will take her out as soon as she is released. I don’t believe in vigilante justice but in this case even I would have a hard time not beating the living crap out of Casey if I was left in a room alone with her!
I agree JB. And I am sure George and Cindy have more photo’s of Caylee they can sell to the TV Networks if they asked to be guests to talk about this. I wouldn’t be surprised if soon they don’t appear on another one. They are probably running low on money by now.

Jan - you got that right sister! Since none of these people in the Caylee or Haleigh case seem able to WORK FOR A LIVING…they instead make their money by selling drugs or pictures / interviews of and about their dead grandchild and think nothing of it. About time for the Scamthony’s to go on another cruise or vacation…maybe take out that new BOAT they got that was SUPPOSED to help look for missing children that has never been used to search for a single child….so they’ll be needing some money to pay Casey’s court costs AND to make sure they can continue to enjoy cruises, lobster puffs at the Ritz, etc. These people make me NUTS! Great article by the way Jan
Nice article Jan!
I “think” we saw real(?) emotion from Stacey yesterday for just the 2nd time.
The 1st was during the last jail visit with her parents (Oct.?) when she “went off” on Cindy for continuing to ask questions.
Yesterday I felt her emotion was real, but question was she emotional because she wished she was a “better friend” or because emotion has been the mode of manipulation that has always worked for her. What I mean is, when in trouble try to throw your target off balance with fast talk, not effective?…strike out in anger, if that doesn’t work, cry for sympathy.
I have heard some people say they did feel sympathy for KC yesterday….I contend she threw them ‘off balance’ just as intended.
Of course KC is entitled to sincere emotions, but I find it curious she couldn’t muster anything up when being questioned by police shortly after Caylee was reported missing or when the state was talking about the awful things Caylee may have went through in the last minutes of her life.(We now have seen dabbing her eyes is not ‘how she cries’.) but she can’t control herself when forced to admit her guilt.
Regarding Roy Kronks ex-wife. She hasn’t made any statements UNDER OATH yet…we’ll see how that goes. Personally I’ll be surprised if this comes in at trial anyway. From what I understand she claims he duct taped her hands one time for 45 minutes…IMO that is not a pattern of behavior.
Has anyone heard from Amy Huizenga? What is her response? After all, this was a crime committed against her person!
I do not know about any of you, but if I am ‘missing’ over $600 - heck if I misplace a dollar - well that is just not good!
“I just want everyone to know I’m sorry for what I did … I take complete and full responsibility for my actions.”
And then the defense will turn around & try to claim that since she took full responsibility for ONE crime, she would take it for the murder if she were guilty of that also.
I’m sure mommy & daddy are so proud of their little convict now. lol
Sara Jane IP,
The prosecuter said that Amy agreed to the plea deal offered by the state of 5 years. I too wonder how she feels about the judges ruling. I’m sure $600 is no drop in a bucket for a young single girl.
Personally I think Casey’s behavior after Caylee went missing and since she has been in jail screams…I killed the little
snotnose…so what?.
Even so,IMO, Judge Strickland did make an even handed judgement on the fraud charges. The way things are going the murder trial won’t get under way this year and Casey will sit her but in jail. Hopefully any time served after yesterday can go towards time served on a life sentence.
I am happy to see that I am not the only one to want to throw up when viewing the hearing yesterday. Casey can put on a show anytime she chooses, her tears are as fake as her make up will allow. If she did cry real ones, it was not for remorse but that she got caught! The way I look at it, she was catered to this hearing also. She got what her Bozo asked for, time served but added the court costs which were whined about. Why are we supposed to give her free service, any other murderer would have to pay the court costs? She is so special that she deserves free service, free room and board and all the twinkies she can stuff in her face? Not in my eyes she isn’t. She knew she was guilty of this, she knows she is guilty of murder yet she crys her way through thinking her wiggling little rear end will get her out of this one too? I feel sorry for Judge Strickland having to hear this whining mess all the time but I wish he would toughen up enough to stop letting them have their way. If I had my way, time served would not have even entered into it, give her some more time and some more after that. She does not deserve to see the light of day ever again. Give her a vibrator and some twinkies and lock her in a dark hole so she knows what it feels like to smother to death. Now, that was said by a grand mother, believe it or not. My children and grandchildren are the most precious things in this world to me and knowing about raising children, I can not phathom anyone killing a child ever. She needs to rot for this a degree at a time. Thanks Jan for keeping us to date on this mess and I for one pray that soon it will end in trial. Enough stalling, they have had plenty of time to investigate and gather evidence, what has taken the time is recruiting one after the other attorneys to aid the little demon. Another thougth that may sound ugly but I sure wish they could have found some better looking ones too, really hurts my eyes to look at those attorneys. Maybe another ploy to make Casey look sweet and cute at trial but it won’t work!!!
I can’t believe judge Strickland will allow Krobks ex’s testimony in court. If she suffers from cancer, she must be taking narcodics for the pain. She is under the influence of some pretty heavy meds and that is not legal to testify on any trial while under the influence. Sorry Biaz, better find another scapegoat.
methinks:
I think the defense is milking her “statements” for all the publicity/sympathy/doubt they can get while they can right now - when the state cannot even depose her or question her.
But later, she may re-cant or the state’s deposition could show her statement to be questionable, or as you said, her health, medication etc may put what she says in question or prevent her testifying in any way.
In the meantime, though, it’s more good carp for the defense to spread around (IMO).
Bozo can keep trying to make Casey look good in the media and to the public but as the saying goes, you can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig! Her looking “good” now means NOTHING. What she did before and right after she killed her child and before she was arrested is what matters. There is NO way they can explain away her comments (snotnose), her lies (having a job, having a nanny, dropping Caylee off at the nanny’s, her parents divorcing and her getting the house, having a work cell phone (when she didn’t have a job), receiving a call from Caylee after she went missing (which was proved to be a lie by her phone records!) lying to her parents about where she was, lying about the car being in the shop, the ficticious co-workers, oh heck, they are too numerous to list), actions (not calling 911, slithering on a stripper pole (aka doing her own investigation to find her child), her lovely tatoo, her avoiding her parents, the internet searches, her freaky facebook/myspace posts, partying non-stop, not telling ANYONE that Caylee was missing, and again too many to list), the stain in her trunk, the SMELL in her trunk, the chloroform/gatorade bottle, the pics of Caylee in the SAME outfit shortly before her death, the comment before Caylee was found that Casey felt Caylee was close to home (YEAH YOU FREAK CAUSE YOU BAGGED HER UP LIKE YESTERDAY’S GARBAGE AND TOSSED HER IN THE WOODS BY YOUR HOUSE), the statements by EVERYONE that Casey lies about EVERYTHING and ALWAYS has. The trash bags, duct tape, laundry bag, baby blanket, etc., all coming from Casey’s house, the hair with a death band on it in the trunk, and on and on and on. I mean, Bozo is pretty slimey but even HE can’t slither out of all this evidence. His client is guilty as sin and EVERYONE knows it. SO, he can try all he wants to make Casey look like Mother Theresa NOW but NO ONE is falling for it. TOO late. We’ve seen her TRUE colors. Anything she does now that even appears slightly normal is ALL an act.
And I want Strickland to slap Bozo up side the head and tell Casey she is going to fry for what she did BUT he has to appear completely impartial or it will give these low lifes a reason for an appeal. So he is bending over backwards to prevent that from happening. I’m sure personally he would like to slap these people silly just as soon as they step into his courtroom but he can’t! I don’t know how he maintains a straight face when this dream team starts moving their lips because their lies are ALMOST as far fetched as the ones Casey has told!
LOL, I just went back and read the previous comments including my own that I posted today

Nice article Jan!
I “think” we saw real(?) emotion from Stacey yesterday for just the 2nd time.
That should read Casey not Stacey.
I am following Stacey Barker’s pretrial hearings for the murder of her 18 month old daughter Emma on my blog.
It’s not a huge leap though…25 yr old living with parents kills daughter, dumps her body by the road and claims daughter was kidnapped. Stacey didn’t wait 31 days to report it though (her parents are no G&C) and she confessed(kind of) within 24 hours. OK, I just noticed my error and wanted to clarify. What a sad world we live in so many killing their children.
m2c re your comment at 4:53= EXACTLY
If I could ask Casey one qyeston, it would be this: Which is it, the nanny, Kronk, Jesse Grund, who? better decide soon, you got alot of details to figure out before trial…like how did kronk get ahold of your car? ,and caylees blanket, and book, all found at the scene. Give it up biaz…your really making a fool out of yourself and the entire judicial system.
I think Caseys tears yesterday were for real this time.
oops, meant to say queston
methinks:
And don’t forget the “script” that zanny/kronk/jesse? (lol!) gave her to follow for a month: party hearty, shack up with Tony, avoid your mother, lie, steal, text, text, etc. etc.
And yes I think monster’s tears were real. And they appeared exactly when she became a convicted felon. They were tears for HERSELF!
methinks - the question you pose to Casey at 6:58 is a good one, and the details needed at trial to support accusing anyone, even if just to raise a reasonable doubt, are many.
Sometimes I wonder if the defense doesn’t just throw all these “scapegoats” out there now trying to gain bargaining power with the state for a plea deal.
The defense just spent the last year+ doing the same with the fraud charges and there was video of the transactions. They said NO WAY will we plead to these charges..this is going to trial. I remember thinking they are fools, her misdeeds are caught on tape what are they thinking….well it worked out didn’t it.
I don’t think there is a statement, motion or emotion coming from their camp at this point that isn’t calculated. What is the word?….posturing.
As much as the state would probably love to try this case, if they could get a deal for life with a guilty plea they would be(IMO) cheating the residents of FL to spend the $$$ going to court. I would be shocked if the state was willing to go less than 1st degree other than the fact the “victims” (Anthonys) wouldn’t mind.
I’m no legal eagle but I don’t think the judge would have as much control over the sentence on 1st degree murder….there are mandatories. Any thoughts folks?
I can’t believe they are pointing the finger at the person who found Caylee. Is this the defense’s “smoking gun”? Good gosh. How pathetic and twisted is that. Does that mean volunteers should not help out in searches for missing people? Who would want to run the risk of being blamed, should they find a body. And who will report a found body and take the chance they will be blamed? not a good precedence to set, and this is idiocity of her lawyer at its worse. That freak should be disbarred.
HI all haven’t been on in awhile, but my big question is,if casey was telling the truth about the nanny kidnapped caylee, are she was taken at the park by the nanny, why now are they pointing the finger at this kronk guy,she told police she was sticking to her story about what happen,so now she is stuck like glue into it,and there is no getting around the point that she killed caylee
Does Baez really expect the jury to believe that Roy Kronk is the Keyser Soze of meter readers? That he is commiting the “perfect crime” while sitting right in front of our unsuspecting noses?
Seriously, if Kronk had anything to do with Caylee’s disapearance in June, the cops had no idea he even existed, until he inserted himself into the case. (persistantly against the lackluster LE response) Why would he do that? If he were involved, he had gotten away clean and somehow implicated KC. Why blow it by repeatedly personally leading LE to the body crime scene? It makes no sense!
That’s what Baez expects to offer as a “reasonable doubt” alternative? And base it on the bias of an estranged ex-wife? No motive, no prior access to the victim?
Talk about grasping at straws.
Flowerchild - GREAT POINT! If Casey was telling the truth about the Nanny is she now saying the nanny was actually Kronk? LOL - sure, I bet he was moonlighting as a nanny for some extra cash! LMAO She would have to admit to ALL the lies she told for YEARS about having a nanny, admit the nanny doesn’t exist (which would hurt her in the defamation case against her with Zenaida Gonzalex), and then somehow explain how Kronk not only got access to her car, her house, Caylee’s things, the computer but access to Caylee as well. AND if that was the case, then why would she have lied about a nanny if it was a stranger abduction? What would have been the point to tell all the lies about her job, the nanny, the nanny’s apartment, the trips to Tampa with the nanny, the phone call from Caylee after she went missing, the Blanchard park revised nanny story, etc?
Bozo would have to be an absolute IDIOT (which I think he has already proven to be) to try to pin this on Kronk because it makes EVERYTHING his client has said to date a complete lie not to mention it doesn’t make an ounce of sense. He would get laughed out of the courtroom, although I’m not sure it would be the first time OR the last. He needs to make a plea deal. THAT is his client’s ONLY hope. BUT because he wants publicity and wants to win this case, he will jeapordize his client for fame. Works for me because that means the DP for Casey which is exactly what she deserves.
THANK YOU FLOWERCHILD for making that point! That just made my day!
JB,i guess casey forgot she told all that crap, and it is all on audio, and she was so afraid for her family that someone was out to get them on video from her jail cell,i can’t believe bozo wants to question kronks wife,if she was so worried that her ex might have done this she would have come up with this when this case first started, bozo GRASPING GRASPING,hey bozo next your going to say aliens kidnapped caylee and killed her
I think they are milking this Kronk BS for all they can to plant “doubt” in the public’s mind (specifically future jurors).
Has the defense deposed ANYONE yet in the murder case? What have they been doing? Oh, yes. Submitting motions - often incorrectly and/or with no basis. Do they get a bonus per motion?
I’m convinced the defense is being paid. Whether it’s a lump sum or the money is still rolling in, I don’t know. But I think when/if it runs out, then they’ll plead. Meanwhile they’re collecting for each and every billable hour and “working lunch” that they can. Plus this is the case of a lifetime for all of them. So they’ll stay on this gravy train as long as it’s paying off for them in some way.
(IMO)
The reason kronk is going to be cleared of killing caylee and anyone else they choose to accuse is all based in past statements and facts in this case, not unless the anthony’s let their house and car, computer be open to the public so anyone could go in and take caylee’s blanket, search on the computer for neck breaking, how to make chlorform etc etc,the anthony’s and casey has already sealed her faith, any jury member sitting on this trial will see this and give her what she deserves DP
Katfish, about the last two paragraphs of your post at 7:44pm -
IF monster plead guilty and got life, would it include the possibility of parole? And if it did, then how would the parole board or the public (who could vehemently oppose it) have the details, the info about the crime that might be needed to deny parole? As in - aggravated (duct taped) etc.??
Or maybe that would be included specifically in what she was pleading guilty to?
I’m just sick of murderers getting paroled and I don’t want monster outside a jail ever again.
