I agree with juditha Cobra’s life is still on hold and I have to wonder if this isn’t because he almost had Misty and her brother Tommy bailed out. Even though it wasn’t him doing it he was only the messenger. I wouldn’t message that it made them mad. One more month. Can’t he get this thrown out for not trialing him in due process or something?

If THIS sting is the sum total of an investigation that PCSO had been conducting since back when Cobra got in trouble (how long ago was that?), then in fact they are the keystone kops. LOL!

Let’s get the trial on and over with. Better than dragging it out over and over days on end for most everyone concerned, and especially for us, the viewers keeping on. Things that drag on and on in life grow a life all of their own, giving it power within our lives it doesn’t belong. Get it over with, one way or the other. That’s the best news and outcome for Cobra and Snodgrass can kiss my grass after I fertilize and do routine chemical sprays to keep the pests away.

This is a common stall tactic. They’ll move it a few more times before a judge finally says get over it and plead the case.

Right before the case is supposed to be heard one side or the other tries to move the date. They do this in the hope that the other side won’t be as prepared as they were on the original date. Very common move.

In a domestic violence case, for example, the (abuser) defendant’s lawyer will move the case a few times hoping that the witness for the prosecution (abusee) eventually won’t be able to show up. Then they can move to dismiss the whole thing.

This usually works best if one of the parties involved is out of the area…like Cobra is in this case. If he doesn’t show up he’s wrong by default and they don’t have to actually try the case. But if every time they move the date Cobra shows up to defend himself the judge will eventually just say plead the damn case and let’s get it over with.

Gosh I feel stupid after going back and listening to that taped interview with that woman from (miami?) bodies in shed? Does this snodgrass live near the river?….Does Jrs acount of sqeaky shoes have anything to do with wet shoes from docking a small boat by the river in order to slip in and out unnoticed? I guess I know alot less about this than I thought… I feel so dumb. I wish I would have kept up on this more. Cobra is/was getting too close (IMO) to their investigation than they wanted him to be. If I’m missing someyhing please straighten me out, I really need to know.

I wonder if their drug investigation was going on alot longer that they are saying, and Cobra was a threat to that… therefore they needed to remove him from the picture so all involved would relax and go about their bussiness. Cobra was getting too close to the inner workings of their plan. just thinkin’ in print.

I don’t know what the part “At calendar call case was continued to next trial March 22″ means, does anybody else?

Oh wait, Hedstrom is a circuit court judge so maybe that has something to do with the scheduling and all. [vs. a county court judge.]

Read about the GLENN BARBER murder trial. Hedstrom presided over that case; it was on CourtTV. There’s a nice long excerpt of the book on GoogleBooks, but my browser’s all whacked out. Here’s the book on Amazon:

This is a shame that a man’s life and his livelihood keeps being put on hold because of court delays. Why. because he was trying to find a missing child? A sex offender has more rights? Sure Cobra is rough around the edges but he has to be to deal with the type of people he’s involved with in his line of work! If he wasn’t they would eat him alive. Most of us only read about these people. His job is to find and arrest them. I hope something happens soon to get this cross off his back.
It seems anyone who has tried to help find HaLeigh has been burned!!!!!!

I think that the Satae is trying to press just enough charges to keep Cobra from rising to a higher level or maintaining a certain credintial. One way of “knocking him down a peg or two”. Not that I thought he needed it, but I’m not LE. I am thankfull for the info he did relay to us and I thought he had been doing a great job up until that point and as far as Snodgrass is concerned I have no problem with Cobra trying to take him in even forcefully. I think he had the approval of the right people, at first. D Snodgrass is an unusal type of sexual offender in my book. One in a few thousand would squak after getting to stay free. He’s the exception. WHo thought LE would even take it seriously? Since this case was so high profile and Snodgrass thought he might be the fall guy for Haleigh, he came out with “both barrels blazing”. ALso LE was pizzed that he was telling too much, thrown the dirt of their hometowns all around, and had an aire of priviledge. Not to mention he had bragged that he could do thinks that even LE wouldn’t. That’s about the time this all sprang up. I think Cobra might have made a mis-step or was totally in his rights via bond company ok that was later lied about. If it was just a mis-step, he should have just been firmly warned. It’s not like he was working against LE, right? Even if Snodgrass got upset about being “rousted” by Cobra, why would LE think it would reflect onto them? He was working for the bond company, not them, right?? WHy would Cobra messing with Snodgrass via “orders” from bond co mess up the LE’s case?

Is snotgrass still out on bail? Has he gone to court yet for his offenses? Maybe thats why there is a continuance? I hope Snotgrass goes away for a long time. jmo
