Charlie Daniels is well known for his fine ability to play a mean fiddle. I remember him playing in the movie “Urban Cowboy” at the then famous nightclub just outside of Houston Texas, Gilley’s. The legendary song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” is one that when you hear it playing you automatically think of the one and only Charlie Daniels. No one can play that tune like he can.

While on vacation in Colorado on Friday January 15th, Charlie Daniels was out snowmobiling when he apparently suffered a mild stroke. He was treated at Mercy Regional Medical Center there in Durango, Colorado but then he was airlifted to Swedish Medical Center in Denver.

Fortunately Daniels was treated and then released on Sunday January 17th and he returned to his home in Colorado to continue his vacation which he has been on since December 27th.

Charlie is reported to be doing well now and has no plans of canceling any of his concerts which start on February 27th in Ft. Pierce, Florida and February 28th in Brooksville, Florida.

Charlie along with his family is grateful and they appreciate all the thoughts and prayers from everyone during this scary time.

You can visit Charlie’s website to keep up with the news on his music and concerts.

Charlie, we wish you the best and hope you just keep on going with your entertaining the folks. You fiddle playing is enjoyed all over the world.
