I would like to hear CJs side of whats going on, does anyone wonder why he hasnt made a call in? Or was he told not to discuss the incident? Since he filed the charges. just curious.

I mean just one month before HaLeigh was taken,Adji was taken in Florida,noone knows if these are the same people taking kids.If so,anyone finds them,I hope to God they find more kids with them.I wouldn’t even take my kids for a vacation in Florida,I’m sorry,but until they find out what is going on and stop these child sex rings,I won’t go there.

I can’t help but think that its time to quit playing fair with Misty… and Ron too for that matter. I remember reading somewhere that Ron told someone that misty could not have done laundry that night because they where out of laundry soap. I guess you don’t need laundry soap to run the washer, but come on this is just one of many little holes that create doubt in her timeline. Shes 18 now and I for one think its time to take off the kid gloves and squeeze some sense out of her. Maybe they should haul both of them in and play good cop/bad cop with them. Tell her that Ron snitched her out, then tell Ron the same about her. Maybe they should plant some drummed up charges on both of them, and make some deals. I realize this may not be ethical, but cops do it all the time. I also feel this particular police department may do this very well. They need to quit pussy-footin’ around with these two and find Haleigh. 11 months is too long to long to wait. Either shit or get off the pot…so to speak.

If they want to find Haleigh they need to get their heads out of their collective asses and look at Crystal’s side of the family. Ron had nothing to do with Haleigh being taken. The fbi,FLDE,PCSO interviewed Misty over 3O hours and gave her 3 LDTs. If she had failed them she would have been put in jail back in Feb and they wouldn’t have gone on to give Crystal one and then Chad one in June after the crack/crack pipes were found in HIS truck.

Maybe she threatened to “cry rape”… I just wish we knew, and your right to suspect Crystal’s camp…after all theres plenty of motive.

See, that’s the thing. PCSO said they never really looked at that side because they didn’t see the motive. I see lots of motive on that side. Back support, jail, bond money, court fines, Marty thinks Ron stole Haleigh from him, Marie just hates Ron, etc..

thank you all for the amazing job you are doing on the radio show. i keep being surprised how i learn something new every week. i listen as carefully as i can. and i have to say, you all do it with so much heart!

i would love to make comments on some of the specifics covered, but, i am really tired and i am afraid i won’t make to much sense. so i will stick to two things i heard jan say this week.
1. jan, i heard you make a call out to cobra. bill, praying all this legal mess will finally be over and behind you after this court date and you can move on with your life. i am wishing you all the best!

2. jan, hearing you tell the story on the radio about how adji’s family has his picture with his big smile on the wall, was just so touching! i have been wanting to comment on the picture you have been using here when you write of adji. you can see in the picture, someone must have said - now give me a big smile and he was doing his best to smile really big! it just melts my heart every time i see it!

Her life means nothing in this case, its about Haleighs life. Yes she may have had a bad life but why bring it up unless its for sympathy?
What does her being messed with by Tommy or Joe have to do with Haleigh? What does her being 17 and her life not looking like its going to be much better got to do with Haleigh?

Good morning, Tobias. Yes, I know, harsh. I have alot of experience with teenagers her age, and some of the things I have seen and heard, well, it’s all harsh.

Of course, one thing she could also be doing is setting up some kind of footwork for a defense on her part, if it ever comes to that point.

sometimes i have gotten the impression that m.c. is “playing” house. and maybe the reality did not match the dream. i have thought this playing house may have come from her upbringing as opposed to her age and maturity level.

Misty “playing house” with a guy that has a vehicle, a job, a warm house, and plenty of money to buy groceries and the things you need, and still have enough left over for cokes, cigs and peanuts was probably a big deal to her. hello d.q., i too wondered if jr was ever tested. maybe even a hair analysis, if hair analysis would show anything longer term. and they could have gotten hair out of a hairbrush for haleigh. they probably would have needed a parent to consent. (i know nothing abt drug testing, so this maybe a silly comment.)

ahhh! i just realized if they did drug test and it was positive then ronald would have been in some trouble w/children services.

i wonder if the police routinely take hair for any reason in a missing person case. like from a hairbrush for future dna. i realize r.c. and c.s. did give dna samples. so maybe taking hair would seem redundant.

for people who understand the law, is there a way to ask them to consider any way they can cover haleigh’s story.

maybe even in the context of missing children and how people on the internet are getting involved for good and bad. just was trying to figure it out.

when you go back to the beginning of any case and eliminate the impossible, then what’s left is probably the truth of what happened. Only we don’t know enough about what the PCSO has. Its m,ajorly frustrating, and if its this frustrating to us, what must it seem like to the family? Is there some significance to the fact that Haleigh disappeared on the day of Caylee’s memorial service? Did Misty and her brother and cousin concoct a scheme to hide Haleigh and collect donations? Was Haleigh accidentally killed and her body hidden? Was she, in fact, taken by a RSO that was in the area at the right place and time, a RSO not yet known to the authorities? A transient RSO? Are Adji’s, Haleigh’s, Somer’s, and Lindsey’s disappearances somehow connected? Not to mention others who are missing. Was it a ploy on the part of the maternal side of the family to avoid having to go to court to pay back child support, or be incarcerated because they couldn’t pay it? Was Haleigh injured in a fight between her father and Misty, and died as a result and her body hidden?

I don’t know. I wish I did. So many possible scenarios.

Or it could be none of the above, for all we know.

I had what I call “my” dream about Haleigh again over the weekend. This is the fourth or fifth time I have had it and it never changes. She is 9 or 10 years old, and thin, like some little girls are, she is wearing gold, wire framed glasses and her hair is around her cheeks, cut short, and dyed brown, she is standing by an escalator in a mall, and does not appear afraid, but she looks startled, as if someone has just shouted her name…….I suppose it’s wishful thinking on my part, if she is being hidden by whomever for whatever purpose, they would have to attempt to disguise her appearance, she has to go out in public at some point, certainly not for school, with the number of children who are being home schooled today, but eventually one would think she would need to see a doctor, what with her Turner’s Syndrome. Still, fake birth certificates can easily be obtained.

David post 1/10/2010 @ 9:12pm. I agree with most of your post. When Ron alledgedly stole the children from Crystal there were no court stipulations on who would have had primary custody. Once Ron was appointed primary custody it would be kidnapping if you tried to steal your children back. Crystal still would of been held accountable for the child support arrearage even if she got custody of Jr while Haleigh is missing. You cannot rule out that Crystal would try to regain custody of Jr. and once that was given whoever had Haleigh would then return her. This now would make Ron responsible for child support payments. They perhaps already had a plan in place to pay the past arrearage once Crystal regained custody. This would a very good reason I believe that Crystal could of had a motive. I will rule out noone.
Ron also was served to appear on contempt charges due to Haleighs school attendance. Since he was served with contempt I believe it would be fair to assume Ron had already been spoken with before by the school. This is also motive to hide a child. Last month here in Volusia County A single mother had to go to the school to find out her child missed 22 days of school. She was unaware. She would wake the teenager prior to her leaving for work and then call to make sure they were up ( this teen is in high school). The teenager was asked what they did all day. They were playing video games and on the computer. The school issued a social worker as well as the school guidance counselor. Informed the teenager that if they missed 1 more day without a doctors excuse they would be removed from their home and be put in a safe home. The teen was held responsible, because the parent did all she could to make sure her child was up to go to school on time. In Haleighs case she was only 5 years old therefore the parent would be responsible. Ron could have lost custody to Crystal without her even asking for it. The sad thing here is that Ron could have avoided this situation by just calling Haleigh out or writing an excuse letting the school know she was out sick that day. A child can miss 15 days of school and be excused as long as someone notifies the school( after the 15 days you must then have a doctors excuse). This was just plain irresponsibility and laziness. I am hoping that out come will be she is alive and she was being hid out.
I do often think about the alternative and it breaks my heart. In my own opinion I do feel Misty has some info she is not sharing that could shed light on Haleighs disappearance.In Jerry Santos account of what Ron said to him about that morning he was driving erraticly and Mistys account on her voice stress. They both agree they woke up late. If the children were with GGSYKES the night before and they had to pick up Haleigh from there; why not say so? There is no crime that the children spent the night with the grandmother. Ron tells Jerry they woke up late and Haleigh spilt something on her clothes. Therefore no clean laundry has to go to GGSYKES. Misty says they woke up late. The kids had eggs for breakfast and basicly describes Haleigh as refusing to wear what she has there because she wants the outfit from GGSYKES home. We are not sure what time they awoke to be considered late. I believe elemntary school starts about 7:55am and Haleighs bus had not yet arrived so I am only assuming it was approx 7:20am - 7:30 am. This gives the bussed students time to be driven and arrive on time for school to begin. I was suprised that Misty had the time to cook eggs and feed both children and make it to Welaka to get Haleigh the outfit she wanted and make it to school on time for her to walk Haleigh to her class. I believe Rons accountability had more validity.

i have not ruled anyone out. or even a motive by anyone incldg what dramaqueen said this morning. the closest i have come to ruling out anyone is the grandmas. i really find it hard to believe they could be involved in anyway other than a cover-up. and from the looks on their faces, i cannot even believe that! maybe a cover up of something else, not the part about what happened to haleigh. i suppose it could be a possible “rescue” by marie. but, i don’t see it in her face.

I cant remember did anyone at the school say they saw Misty bring Haleigh into class? jmo

When she was asked “Who do you think did this?”, in her farcical test with TJ ward, she only specifies two names - Tommy and Joe.

First let’s start with good ole’ cousin Joe. You know, the guy who couldn’t get out of town fast enough when Haleigh went missing. Misty told TJ Ward flat out he’s crazy, and has mental problems. Misty kindly as she could said he “messed” with her when she was 6-7 years old. “Messed” as in MOLEST. She also said he “messed” with another 5 year old girl. Seems Joe has a thing for little girls. Oh wait, wasn’t Haleigh a 5 year old little girl when she went missing? No connection there though, right? (Is this guy even being investigated for the charges made by Misty for child molestation?) Then, there are the circumstances surrounding the van. When asked about the van, Misty gave another compelling reason why she believes Joe is involved. To begin with she said her little brother noticed Joe was not in bed around 12:30-1:00 AM. He normally sleeps in his boxers, but in the morning he was fully clothed including his socks. The keys were moved, the van was moved, the van was damaged, and Joe was not in his bed in the middle of the night. Didn’t he high tail it out of town the day Haleigh went missing? He couldn’t possibly have anything to do with Haleigh, right?

She’s says that with his drug problems Tommy’s going crazy himself. Tommy’s public record speaks for itself as far as upstanding citizen goes. Add to that Misty told TJ Ward that he molested her when she was a little girl too. Months after Haleigh has been missing he recalls Ron asking him to check on Misty that night, which he claims he did. I haven’t came across anything as far as a direct quote from Ron, but it seems the chatter is he never asked Tommy to do that.

So, apparently Tommy and Joe have a thing with “messing” with little girls - Haleigh is a little girl. Joe’s behavior seems odd the night, and morning Haleigh went missing. The van has unmistakably been used in the middle of the night. Joe leaves Dodge the day Haleigh goes missing. And Tommy puts himself at the scene of the crime. Didn’t TJ Hart report that Joe’s m.o. is using bricks to prop doors open when burgling homes? The door was propped open with a brick to Ron and Misty’s trailer when Haleigh went missing. Oh, let’s not forget about that pesky little incident with Ron’s gun being stolen. The only people around that could have did it, accoring to Misty, was Misty’s brothers Timmy & Tommy, and cousin Joe. She clarifies the reasons why she doesn’t believe Timmy was involved. But didn’t Ron have an argument with Joe about it. No motive for any possible retribution there.

Police have said they think Misty is holding out on giving them information. I have a good reason to believe they think Haleigh’s disappearance, more specifically, involves a blood relative of Misty. Aren’t cousins and brothers blood relatives?

If there were anything remotely consensual with Joe “messing” with Misty, why would she be afraid to be alone with him?

I am not sticking up for Joe here but you have to look at the source, Misty, there is no proof to the allegations she is making. Do any of her relatives say Joe or Tommy is a molester? Could it be a way to direct attention away from her and further muddy the water? Or a warning to them to keep their mouths shut. No one knows. Cobra also revealed that Misty was pretty friendly with Joe while he was visiting, why is that. jmo

I also believe if this ever comes to an end it will be because of the FBI and with help from PCSO. I dont think the FBI ever left this case, they are just quiet about what they are doing. jmo

Misty says she is afraid of her brother Tommy then gets the order dropped against him and went there to live along with Nay Nay. Why is she no longer afraid of Tommy? Lives with CJ and his family then things fall apart there and now she is afraid of CJ& family. I believe Misty likes to play the victim and needs sympathy. This is why people find it hard to believe a word out of her mouth at this point. Misty is not the victim here.Haleigh is and only the truth will be recognized when it finally comes out of her mouth.

I would really like to know for sure what Ron and Misty argued about at 8:30 that night. It was so bad she turned her phone off for the night.jmo

I also think that if Misty didn’t have anything to do with Haleigh’s disappearance, then the cousin Joe and brother Tommy did. I don’t know how, but I think it is wierd how he left town as soon as she disappeared as well. Those two were my original suspects in the beginning. Then I hear so much stuff about Misty and Ron that I considered that too. Who knows who did it, but I pray they find out soon!!!!

Some one on here asked if you would cover for your child to save them. I know my children would tell you because I have told them. If you are innocent I will protect you but if you are guilty I will not. It is harsh but them knowing this right off sends a message to them not to expect me to lie for you. As for myself if I would never want to endure prison and have fore warned my children as to what happens in prison. I believe they got the point early on.

Michelle, than where does that leave Misty? She certaily didn’t sleep through the whole thing, whatever happened, if Tommy and Joe are involved (and I think they are, IMO, she had to have been there, she has to know what happened that night, if they are indeed the culprits.

Why are we (I) not asking why the one caller in was the only one? why are there not more callers, I see tobias and drama queen, and looking for justace, ect…. do you try and not get in ? are the phones that tied up? I love this phone session but Simon and Jan can you not let more phone calls in ?

Vaquera, I don’t believe they have formally cleared anyone. SOMEONE had to take Haleigh, and if they believe Misty holds the “key” then they know she can implicate someone she knows, it just stands to reason. I think maybe they are trying to make people think they aren’t a suspect hoping if they give em enough rope they will hang themselves, or each other. If Misty is guilty, then IMO no way did she act alone, and the van being taken and damaged and Cousin Joe being out of the house in the middle of the night and high tailing it out of town right away are just too coincidental for me.

Why in the world wouldn’t he have wanted to stay at least a couple of days and help look for her?

I didn,t mean her as a person, just as annonymous person. I am not being judgemental, just wondering why so many people on the blog thing and so many few callers. The question was ment for Simon and Jan. She may very feel that she was harrased and someone else may have called in to help her out, but to my mind (maybe screwed up) The calls were either shut off or no other person called in. And no I did not try.

Shan, I have an alarms on my doors, so I can’t really imagine someone coming in or going out without me knowing it, and I have always waited up for my kids to come home anyway. I guess someone COULD sleep through it, though.

Tobias, I hear ya, I don’t have either a land line or cable or internet, gave it up so the grandkids could have it for school, gave them my computer, too. I couldn’t pay for it in both houses. The hubby has a cell, though, not me, I don’t want one of the darn things, LOL.

Peggy, I didn’t mean that they cut off the calls because of that caller or that it would have gotten nasty. Just that the caller did not say anything that the panel or we could discuss in any meaningful way.

m2c. I think that maybe they thought they should shut off the calls to find out if that person was in trouble mentaly speaking. But for the many months I have listend and only last week became a “member” ther have been maybe at the most 2 callers.

Jan, I in know way thought that you cut her off as being “wierd” exept that You and everyonr one on the panel were concered for her state. (she sounded like she was crying to me). I’m just saying that for so many of us that say awk this or ask that and with our comments we should call in ouselves.

I’ve called a number of times and before Simon could get to me someone else asked the question that I was going to ask! lol! So I had to hang up.

Also, Peggy, I think Simon has to try to balance the radio show so that the panelists have time to be heard and some people hang up before he gets to them. It’s really a balancing act and not easy to do on a live show.

I’ve done a quick search and can’t find anything indicating Joe was given a lie detector test. If he were, it would seem to me that is something that would be still available somewhere.

Assuming for the moment Joe were given a polygraph, it makes it even more deplorable that the person who puts them self at the scene of the crime (months later) and says he will take a polygraph, and LE has not given him one!

All I remember is that the FBI talked to him but cant remember a poly. May be wrong but I am sure FBI were the ones who talked with him.

I would also assume he is still on the persons of interest list seeing as he has an extensive record and was in the area. jmo

She sounded so sad and crying. I was and am still worried about her mental state.

I remember that the FBI interviewed Joe. Probably FBI from the local branch nearest wherever he ran off to. Anyway, I can not imagine what he could have said to convince them that he had nothing to do with it. I can’t even imagine. I seriously doubt he had a rock solid alibi for that whole night (unless the people he was staying with watched him sleeping all night - not).

If they gave him a poly and he passed with flying colors then maybe that’s what convinced them but otherwise (and maybe even then) he’d still be on my “maybe” list.

I think the only thing anyone can do if they think LE is harrassing them is get a lawyer. I don’t know of anything else that could possibly help.

Peggy, if people have questions to ask the panel, that’s great. But I don’t think it’s supposed to be a show that has wall to wall call-ins. IMO there needs to be time for each member of the panel to talk and I’m happy with that too.

I noticed alot of old blogger names on the login chat that no longer blog. I wonder why they dont blog anymore???? Maybe they are too busy or just too tired after work? Just a passing thought.

It was another great show. TJ was his usual, and great at it. I just love listening to them everytime. I miss Cobra though. It’s the most honest radio show about (missing/hurt children) going. I work and catching the show is one of my highlights for the week. I’m not up on all the knowledge most people here have so between reading and listening to the show I’m filled in. And yes I have called in. The problem with the lady that called in this week is she didn’t even give her name or give much explanation. I didn’t get her point.

Actually, I do not like Misty either. When she gave her voice test and was talking about Haleigh I hear lots of this………

I had to………(rub her legs because she had cramps)—-Sort of sounds like this child was a pain in my ass and I had to do this and that for her. I would not rule Misty out. If she was high and not in her right mind but I would lean toward an accident if this Misty is in this. Like she gave her something to make her sleep (her bedtime is 8:00) and low and behold at 8:30 the phone is turned off. I think Misty may have done something really stupid that either caused a death or lead to child being taken. However if someone did take Haleigh Cummings I think the mother’s side should be the primary suspects. Not the father. All I have heard is how he did it. Look he was at work and sure he is not a saint but if he was half as bad as mom says then he would not have custody and she would. I do not think he put her away somewhere because of the school, that just seems really stupid to me. The child had Turner’s Syndrome and I am sure all he needed to do was take the time to get a doctors letter, something he should have done before it went this far but I do not think he would have to worry about Crystal getting custody because of this, look she is on drugs and I am pretty sure that Ron Cummings knows this and also knew way ahead the DCF would test her and leave the kids with him. I saw his family very calm when DCF was called in. Saying they welcomed the investigation and that they did not think it was going to turn out the way Crystal and her family wanted it to. Because they knew. And look what happened. Ron Cummings never seemed to fear loosing his kids to Crystal and I am pretty sure that is because she is so very unfit and has not changed since he got custody the first time out. On top of that he did not mention this to the press and I am sure he knew. Instead he said that he got custody because he was the better provider- saying that he could not say more without “being rude” to others. But her family look at what they did? All this when a child is missing? Seems to me that Ron Cummings acted like he is worried about his child and willing to put her above this mud slinging contest while the other side did everything they could to sling mud, to say he did this, why? Why would they worry the phones were tapped? Why would they stage a fake search? Why would their own private investigator tell them “it was time to drop Haleigh off at McDonalds?” I am not saying they did this because I lean toward Misty doing something very stupid and someone walking off with this kid, the type of person that usually does this - a predator- and then Misty being so afraid of Ron and the law and the media that she will not say- perhaps she had her cousin over for some drugs or even let him watch the kids, I do not know. I am just saying that Crystal and her family should be on that list with everyone else and at the top of it because they are the ones with all the motive in the world. They also to me are the ones that acted most suspicious.

The thing that is sticking in my “craw” about the Sheffields being the “kidnappers” is this:
Most of this theory is predicated on the basis that Chad G assisted or even planned the whole abduction. If this is true, what is his involvement now that they have split up? Would he still continue to aid Crystal while she is actively dating another man/men? If Chad was the Mastermind or even just a bit player, how does it all work now that they are no longer together? He is staying quiet/continueing to aid due to familial pressures? Due to prior involvement and not wanting to “get into trouble”. If that’s the case, he should “squak” first and get the better “deal”. Now that Crystal is no longer his “woman”, why would he not turn on her?

Oh, BTW, for those who think I’ve gone away due to other posters or to pout, let me assure you this is not the case. I have promised several people that I would take time to use my “talents” to take an in depth look at BOTH sides of this family. I have been very busy assisting in locating possible evidence. It may come to nothing, but then again, one never knows. Stranger things have happened. Look up Austrian Fritzel, look up Indiana boy kept hidden in underground room with mom to keep dad from getting custody. The boy was 6, Chec type name. THen there’s the man & son from Italy who we found to have kept the man’s daughter hidden for yrs abusing her, both father & son. Then there’s the story of the teenager who had disappeard but was found in a hidden room by LE who may or may not have been kept against her will. She had a cell phone & attended school, suspects claim and police confirmed. As TJ said, there have been huge underground grow operations in FL and other places. It can be done. There are whole organizations that assist parents in keeping their kids on “the run” from abusive parents. Sometimes these kids enter those sytems with good reason, other times they enter under false pretenses.

Turner’s syndrome requires no medication other than possible weekly shots to help boost her growth hormone. SHE CAN LIVE WITHOUT THEM! There is no medicine she needs that someone else couldn’t get a perscription for ie: nebulizer meds (I have a box at home right now.) An inhaler, most likely Albuterol, is EXTREMELY common. Just about everyone who has breathing issues, be it pneumonia or bronchitus or just a bad flu/cold with respitory symptoms will be given a sript for Albuterol. The shots of growth hormone counter-act the short stature and will eventuall be needed to bring on her menses. That is all they are for. Other than those two medicines that is it. There are no unusual medicines and a Dr who just sees her once, might not even realize she has Turner’s syndrome as it can only be diagnosed through a specific testing procedure The only thing that would give her away as having Turner’s at his young age would be that she might be a little under-sized for her age, but it is not something that would jump out at even medical personel.
Some of the city’s where these “sightings” have occured have Sheffield family members living in that city or very nearby. Coinky-dink? maybe, maybe not. ALL of this is being thoroughly “investigated” and not just by me.

One possible ending to this theory is that after some time Haleigh would be re-located to another state and kept hidden for another length of time. Then once her looks change some as she ages, Crystal would also relocate to the new state/area. By this time so many will have moved on and let go that it would be safe to have her re-emerge. Under another name, of course. It’s not a bulletproof theory but it does start to explain how one would go about “bringing her back”.

Why DID the Sheffield’s ask for their property to be “cleared”? Was it so that after that point they could rest assured that the LE wouldn’t be back becauase they had already been there and found nothing? Then Haleigh could be snuck back in with less concern? Did the Haleigh sightings stop 2 months later because the hidden room had been completed and she was put into place? One just has no real way of knowing.
Does it sound far-fetched? Yes, heck yes…but no more so then any other theory we all have been batting around.
To those who swore I couldn’t be unbiased or couldn’t take a serious look at the “other side”…what do you think now???

Hollys Gmom you have excellent perception. You also have a big heart. What you said has alot of merit. Thank you for your very well written post. I find it interesting. It helps keep me open minded to new theories.

Also, I liked what TJ said on the radio the other day. That maybe the person responsible did not think this through all the way, or something went wrong. That could apply to any of the people involved and to any of the theories (except intentional kidnapping by SO).

I believe that the person who originally wrote to PCSO to request that they open their files on this case under the Sunshine Law, is mailing another letter today. This time to the State Attorney General (cc others including TJ Hart) to make the same request.

This letter is what PCSO called “a threat” in their response to her but it is the natural “next step” as allowed by law.

I think it’s very clever and very brave of this person - an individual citizen- to try to do this.

I meant to type it brings to mind. I am all thumbs today.

DramaQueen, I just read this morning what one of BNN’s bloggers has written on the BNN Forum. Don’t know what’s going on elsewhere.
It sounds on the up and up to me (IMO). Some may not agree with it (trying to get files open under Sunshine Laws) but it is really interesting. I guess it’s like calling PCSO’s bluff saying, “You really got somethin’ (a real lead/evidence) or not?” Of course the difficulty is that PCSO may have a lead they want to keep quiet. I don’t know.

Looking for Justice @ 10:03 am - I thought the same thing early on in the case and still consider it’s very possible. Another poster (forgive me I do not remember the name) just recently posted about Misty possibly being somewhat disillusioned. She “found” her “Prince” only to become chief cook, laundress, and baby-sitter (hey, real life, right? lol! We know that but she was only 16 - 17yrs old).
So she may not have been as truly attached to the children as she has claimed. She could have “swatted” Haleigh too hard or gone to sleep and Haleigh got into mischief and was hurt. Lots of possibilities there.

no m2c, I am talking about the blogger whho totally invaded these families with sneaking around taking pictures, and the blogger who wound up with his own site dedicated to Haleigh who turned out to be a RSO, and now the prominent blogger who claims to be a relative of Ron’s who snuck around the HB Center when KP wasn’t around and befriended Crystal and marie and then filed the bar complaint against KP where the lawyer client privilidge was suspended during the investigation and things came out about Cyrstal that were not good …….these people are insane and criminal charges, IMO, need to be brought against them.

How the PCSO can dedicate quality time into looking for poor little Haleigh in the midst of all this hoopla is beyond me.

I just read about a Florida politician who is calling for an investigation into whoever called in the bogus child abuse claim to DCFS against Tiger Woods. (Now bear with me a minute! lol!)

There are TONS of bogus complaints called in like this all the time when people get mad at their neighbors, friends, boy/girl friends, spouses, etc. And I KNOW that people were being encouraged to call DCFS with bogus claims against Ron. (People who did not even live NEAR Florida, nevermind actually who knew anything).

This is a horrible waste of taxpayer money AND of the time and energy of DCFS who we depend upon to protect children who really need protecting.

But this politician is being criticized because she’s asking for the investigation based on the incident with Tiger Woods. Well, maybe she is being an opportunist BUT we (the public) often do not pay attention to anything UNTIL it is somehow sensationalized (like with a big name involved).

So I don’t care what started it. I only hope that the state will investigate and will make it very well known that unfounded reports will be prosecuted. I know it’s difficult to determine what’s “unfounded” sometimes but something has to be done to deter people from using DCFS to “get back” at each other etc.

Not as bad as the Casey Anthony case. People were going nuts in that case. Ron and Crystal and Misty have been fairly lucky compared to the Anthonys. That was a hot mess for a long time, and it probably is still going on to some extent. I do believe Casey killed Calee and I do believe Cindy and George know it but really what does the harassment solve? jmo

I don’t believe LE has any solid leads….they have publically stated they don’t. Saying Misty holds the key is just an assumption on their part, as Misty was the last person known to have seen Haleigh. An assumption is not evidence, and does not make it the truth. It is also good PR—-there is always an excuse for no progress in the case–”Misty wont talk, not our fault”.

I think we are pleading to the wrong people…..We should be on LE to get off their narrow theory and do real investigative work to bring Haleigh home.

What pieces? There is no evidence, no body, no solid leads to follow up on. I am a scientist. If I based my conclusions on what LE has, I would never be able to develop drugs. The conclusions are faulty.

My hinky meter goes off about him. Why would you make sure you are never on video, not even at the vigils? He seems like a ghost, no one talks about him except for when he called Misty too much from Mass. when Ron and Tommy got into it. Cobra never talked about him or Art Harris. The only other mention of him is that he noticed Joe not being in the bed that night, but that was from Chelsea too. No direct conversation.jmo

Bonanza,We dont know what LE has or doesnt have. You cant say they dont have evidence unless you know for sure that they do not.

I havent seen a Misty did it in anything they are saying, what I see is Misty knows more than she is telling. That is a big diference. jmo

Considering how the public “interprets” what LE says, it is not a long leap for some people to go from “Misty is the key” to “Misty did it” and a lot of people already have thought that. LE put the spotlight on her in a very ambiguous way by saying what they did.

Plenty of cases in Putnam county are cold cases. There is a murder of an elderly lady that has never been solved. It happens all the time, do you think these guys arent under pressure? I am sure they would love to either solve it or make it cold just to get it over with after almost a year. I think they want an iron clad prosectable case with no loop holes for the one or ones who did this. But that is just my opinion. And I do respect everyone elses opinions also.

Did LE officially declare or “make those cases” cold as you said they would if they were nowhere on Haleigh’s case? I don’t know.

I just think with the public pressure that LE is reluctant to admit they might have gotten off on the wrong foot or have not gotten close to solving this.

I think if I was sitting there in the blinding spotlight of the media with a target painted on my back by LE, I might want to point out that there are other people who could be responsible, too (whether I was innocent or guilty). I don’t know what else M is supposed to say.

I seriously doubt that Misty discussed what she was going to say with her lawyer. Any lawyer worth his salt would tell her not to be interviewed or say anything at all anytime anywhere.

Even on NG Crystal said she only had contact with Misty on the phone and said she seemed to be nice. If she wanted to throw Misty under the bus that would have been the perfect time to do it, on NG. But she didnt. I am not ruling Crystal out but if you wanted everyone to think Misty was guilty would you say she was nice and the kids said they loved her?

Maybe PCSO is questioning him about the Haleigh case again. It has been over 2 hours since the scanner call. Maybe he will give some info to get a get out of jail card? We can only hope.jmo

Well, these are my thoughts because you are always told: FOLLOW THE MONEY, well that would be an obvious reason for someone in that camp to take Haleigh because she owed $12.000 to Ronald.
However, Crystal would never hide Haleigh in a special room or anything like that. Crystal never cared about any of her children. If Chad (or any member of that camp) did do anything to HC, she would not be living with another caring person; she would be dead.
I don’t know, Hollys Gmom, but I don’t think any of the Sheffields actually have enough brains to pull anything like this off.

For the most part we’re just bouncing around a lot of possibilities here, talking them through and sharing ideas.

My thought about the bio-mom theory was that Crystal herself might not be involved or maybe even know about it. Too few brains and too little energy and maybe unreliable if she uses drugs. But someone else might be responsible and if that person was a grandparent or friend of the family then maybe they would see she was cared for. (Just my hope!)

Other than this incident proving to be quite revealing in regards to the LE in that area I draw no connection between this incident and the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings. The stories of Tim Miller one was that he believed Misty was having sex with someone and Haleigh caught them and then they killed her to keep her silent. IMO for that to be a reasonable possibility Haleigh would have to understand what sexual intercourse is. Haleigh at 5 years of age would have to be able to comprehend what she was seeing when she walked in the room and caught them. They as adults having a mental capacity far beyond her years could easily say they were doing numerous things her as a trusting child as 5 year olds are would believe what was told to her. I don’t believe she would say “You weren’t wrestling you were having sexual intercourse and I’m telling my dad” Mr. Miller is seeing that through the eyes of an adult walking in on two people having sex a five year old does not know what sex is. 2nd story the person who seen something is too afraid of the Putnam strong arms. A very young person who has not seen much of the world or the state for that matter, has limited education and raised with in a specific mentality may keep something secret, however with time that is likely to come out. Some one with in a marriage may be lying someone with in family may be lying. The reasons for lying in that type of scenario IMO is likely due to fear there are far bigger hurdles to climb than someone being afraid. No one with in this group of people and their associates are powerful enough to fear to the degree of remaining silent on something like this. Who ever would have information in regards to this case would be supported by family, the community, the Country, the World and LE. Even the truly bad guys would support this person in coming forward. This is not a case of someone finding suitcases filled with cocaine and million dollars. This is a case of a 5 year old stolen in the night from her home “no one likes that kind” Who would Haleigh open the front door for? Most likely who ever was there that day and from there who ever else she perceived as a trust worthy source. Who had Haleigh been familiarized with? family, friend and neighbours. The answer to what happened to Haleigh Cummings is with in the mistakes LE has made.

Well, LE has been called to the Croslin’s again. Maybe, they have stopped arresting them, because they think it is more punishment to leave them all shut up in that house together. What a life! That would be my idea of hell.

IMO, Haleigh may not have to have known what sex was. All she needed to do is tell daddy that “Mr. (whoever) came to visit last night.”

“Daddy” (Ron) would know darned well that Mr (whoever) had no business there OTHER than you know what so the cat would be out of the bag even if Haleigh did not understand what exactly was going on. I think TM expressed it as an adult would, but Haleigh might have spilled the beans without realizing it.

One thing that leads me to believe they will talk is when Tommys bond was huge and he wasnt going to be able to bond out he talked. If he is going to jail for a long while for the stolen gun you can believe he is going to take a deal if he knows anything. And he only gave up a little of what he knows just to get out on bond. He will rat out anyone but himself to stay out of prison, he cant get drugs and he will have to work in prison.jmo

The penalty for a third degree felony is a maximum of 5 years in jail and a $5,000 fine.

Tommy could be looking at a 5 year sentence for stealing that gun. And a $5000. fINE.

Tobias, I agree with what you say. I think I saw a previous comment, above, that Tommy has a hearing today on the gun theft charges, pls correct me if I’m wrong. LE may be biding their time to leverage these charges, as you say, to get more info. But what if he had an accomplice who is a blood relative? (Just speculation.) Would he break and implicate such a person? If there is someone outside Tommy’s family who was involved, or even maybe was the planner, then I think Tommy would be more apt to talk.

Lisa is looking at a possible 5 years for each offence. which she has 2 and a fine of $5000 per each offence. Could be some of these people are looking at real time.jmo

Tobias, I think what Chelsea said about going to bed late, followed by saying that Misty called around 4am, means that they had gone to bed sometime before Misty called.

I don’t remember what Misty said about calling her mother or when she did it but her mother did not need a cell phone to get a call. Misty could call the hospital and get thru to the nurse’s station if not straight thru to her mother.

Yes, it would be great if we had a timeline of when Joe could have creeped out of the house (since he was fully clothed when they next saw him) but of course, LE does not consider him a suspect (arggh and geesh!).

Also I was wondering if - during Misty’s wild weekend - if someone could have taken her house key and made a copy. It would be easy to do when someone is busy “partying.” Just a thought.

It is odd that no one has owned up to damaging the van if it was just an innocent trip to the store or something. That I believe is why everyone focuses on it. jmo

Isn’t it interesting how Tommy can’t stay out of trouble? I think his conscience is tearing him apart IMO. I agree that the van needs to be more focused on. Did they ever get info on what Tommy did when he came home from checking on Misty when Ron supposedly never asked him to do that? I wonder how long he was gone, was Tommy’s wife at work? If his wife was at work that means he left the kids alone to check on his sister? I want to hear more about Tommy that night!

I dont post much any more but I havent forgotten precious little Haleigh still holding hope that she will be found.

Maybe its time for those cops up there to go back track themselves, re read every document. Apparently Misty lied detector test keeps coming up not good maybe they need to do more looking into her harder. This whole story is just messed up, re listen to the 911 calls.

We all have our own opionions of this case we will never know what happen to her till the truth comes out. They do need to look into Tommy and Joe did these two clowns ever take a lie detector test or even been spoken with in concern of Haleigh.

What has been really done by everyone in this town, their family members, the parents? Are they really looking for this precious little child?

The only ones I see that has kept this precious little girl name out there is Jan, Simon, Tj and Cobra when he was on here. The news dont mention anything about her any more or the nancy grace show. Its like she and other missing kids doesnt matter but we can hear so much on tiger woods, when that shouldnt matter…. They should keep all these missing children’s name out there so people dont forget and that they will keep an eye or two out.

Still praying for answers and Haleigh to be found.

I wish I had the answer to your question!

I have an additional question regarding NayNay’s car; how on earth did her car keys end up at the Fake Search Site in San Mateo, and how on earth did Cobra know they were NayNay keys?

In the interview NayNay gave to Art H., she said Amber Brooks used her car and somehow got it stuck somewhere, (she didn’t elaborate), she also said AB removed Misty’s clothes (that were in the trunk) and threw a green liquid over the interior of her car.

Another question is………..why did it take LE so long to retrieve NayNay’s car from the junk yard.

Cobra told us on BTR that he had turned the car keys (found at the fake search) over to PCSO, yet it appears it took PCSO a few months to retrieve the car from the junk yard.

With Tommy and Lyndsy living that close you would think that they would have been there right after the cops showed up. Lights flashing etc. I would go I would have been scared that it was a fire. MH catch fire around here alot and they burn really fast.
If the cops came in blazing lights like they say where were the Croslins? Misty is their relative that should have scared them into showing up early, unless they already knew what was going on and didnt want to look in on it.I dont see any of their names on the report and why was their adress blacked out on the eport in the begining? jmo

Wonder if they will get the max. or a slap on the wrist? Wonder when Papa Croslin goes to court? I like how this family uses their disfunctions for sympathy, like Lyndsy saying Papa cant read so thats why he didnt know it was wrong to have several doctors prescribing drugs to him, yeah sure. Misty only went to the 6 grade so she doesnt know whats going on around her, yeah right. The whole bunch have caused their own disfunction, its the way they like to live.jmo

I believe it is when someone goes to various clinics with the same “ailment” and receives numerous prescriptions for the same controlled substance. I would think this would be someone that is an addict or wants to re-sell these pills. JMO

Like if you go to prescribe do you check for abuse of the patient first? just wondering how this works.

Tobias, the “medical system” you are talking about consists of the Dr who writes the Rx, the pharmacy that fills it, and the insurance company (if any) that helps pay for it.

I’d bet the insurance company would be the one most able and willing to “red flag” anything.

However, these charges came after Tommy was caught asleep in his car with some drugs on the seat beside him after dropping off his child at the bus. So I wonder if LE got a look at the drugs at that time and found bottles with different doctors’ names on them?
I don’t know. Pure speculation.

Well I know Oxy is a controlled substance and to prescribe the Doctor or NP has to have a DEA#. I would think that is where the traceability would be. And I don’t think every pharmacy has it on hand. My son had surgery and we had to drive 30 miles to the nearest pharm (that had it on hand) to get his prescription filled. Now this was for a 3yo, so I don’t know if all the pharmacy’s have adult doseage and only some have Ped. So anyway, that would be another way to catch someone doing that. Say if he was dumb enough to take all the prescriptions to the same pharmacy!!

Listening, Ron was at work because the pings put him there, other employees put him there,
the overtime was manditory meaning he had no choice but to stay, maybe he thought she went to bed and turned off her phone,also most big companies have security cameras in their parking lots(mine does) to deter theft or breakins on employee cars. As someone said the other day, there is nothing new to blog about.

However some people are pursuing the case in other ways. Like the person who is trying to make PCSO open their files under the Sunshine Law.

And I’m sure that if LE gave any indication that they were giving up, classifying this as “cold,” the (a) they WOULD have to open their files under the Sunshine Law and (b) there would be a roar from the public and bloggers about it!

I hope not. I wonder if Tommy and Lisa got charged with any jail time today? They were both supposed to be in court. Max for Tommy could be 5 years and max for Lisa could be 10.Maybe we will hear something later? jmo

I think you get my point. The police have caught Ronald over and over again with drugs, drug paraphernalia, un-authorized prescription pills and drug equipment. They have caught him trespassing and violating a domestic violence injunction but every time, over and over again, he is released without prosecution.

Would ANYONE else receive this treatment that’s mom didn’t work at the Police Department? Would you be “cleared” of all this?

While the world focuses on Misty Croslin for her inconsistent statements to police and the press, could it be that her inconsistencies stem from her protection of known criminal Ronald Cummings?

Misty Croslin has never been charged with any crime. Its unlikely for an individual to go from no criminal record to murder without a few escalating crimes in between.

911: “ok, I’m going to stay on the phone with you ok? Until they get there…ok?”

911: “tell him we’ve got them coming, he’s got to calm down a little bit. The officers are going to come out there and do what they can. We can’t have him screaming and yelling at the officers whenever they get there ok?”

Ronald Cummings: “where is my f’ing phone…we’ve got better people to talk to then some mother f’ers who ain’t coming.”

A Concise Synopsis of the Case from the Night She Disappeared
What really happened to Haleigh Cummings? This little girl has disappeared and no one can find her. The clues are far and few between. She was reported missing at around 3:30 AM on Feb. 10, 2009. The phone call to 911 was made by her babysitter, who was also her father’s girlfriend.
Misty, the babysitter/girlfriend reported that she woke up and saw the number 3 on the clock and got up. She has given 3 different reasons why she got up:
to use the bathroom, to get a drink and because she saw the kitchen light on. And, we can’t seem to get a straight answer on where Haleigh was sleeping. At first Misty reported she was sleeping with her in a queen size bed in the master bedroom, and that Haleigh’s little brother was also sleeping in the same bed with them. The next story is that Haleigh was sleeping on a mattress on the floor 3 inches from Misty. There is still a 3rd story that Haleigh was asleep on a mattress about 3 to 4 feet from Misty. This whole case is plagued with 3’s.
After Misty is up, whatever the reason, she supposedly returns to the bedroom because the back door was open. She is going to call her boyfriend, Haleigh’s dad to let him know it is open and to see if he locked it. When she gets back to the bedroom she notices that Haleigh is gone. She then goes to the front porch and Ron is just arriving home. She tells him and then he tells her to call 911. So 911 if finally called and the police arrive.

So that’s why she waited to call,she didn’t know she’d have to be there to make the call!

Not all the discrepancies are with Misty though. Ron can’t seem to get his work hours right. He was supposedly working that night; the police confirm he was working. The police haven’t released the information they have because this is still an ongoing investigation. His work hours have been reported from 4:00 PM to 3:00 AM. It’s been reported that he went to work at 3:30 that he got off at 12:00, and other combinations.

Actually Cathy,she is not a dispatcher.But,it’s always interesting how if you want to make a little money you can just pop up a site…

Maternal grandmother Marie Griffis, who lives in Baker County, said, “I know Haleigh is still here. I know she’s not gone. She’s still alive.”

Griffis expressed regret for criticizing Cummings and Croslin earlier in the week during a TV interview.

“I’m too old to be criticizing the two, because they’re still babies,” she said, referring to 25-year-old Cummings and 17-year-old Croslin. “I feel maybe I’ve done some damage to Misty’s heart, and I can’t live with myself for doing that.

“The Lord knows that I want to apologize … and I want to do it face to face,” Griffis said.

Griffis’ apology appears to have patched a rift between families, as the families of both Haleigh’s parents attended Saturday night’s vigil.

On the topic of hiding a child, apparently (and unfortunately) it is all too easy. Many may remember the story just last Fall about a 7-year old boy who had been missing for two years who police found hidden in a secret room in his grandmother’s house by his grandmother and mother.

When TJ mentioned the “drug den/cave” idea on the radio the other day, it reminded me of something LE said when they “scaled back” the search a few days after Haleigh went missing. Someone with LE said that there was “criminal activity” in the surrounding area and they did not want searchers to stumble on any and find themselves in trouble.

I’ve wondered ever since then, if LE knows there is criminal activity-what kind? (meth lab in trailer? Boats delivering to “safe houses?” Or other things? Is LE looking for it?
If LE is afraid searchers could stumble on it, why isn’t LE out there looking for it? Very strange to me.

i think i understand that the u.g.h. in video is discovered starting with a neighbor reporting a fire (in a cargo container.) so basically it was “accidentally” discovered. hmmmm.

i am wondering if planes fly over and can discover with modern technology which properties have underground bunkers. Yes, quite a number of people have mentioned the possibility that Haleigh saw something or someone she should not have. Especially in light of what Jr was supposed to have said about a “bouncing sofa” it makes us wonder!

And people just the other day were talking about what you mentioned earlier (Jan 11th at 11:23 am) about Misty “playing” house and that she may not have been as mature as some had thought (not just us - but R and R’s family perhaps?) So that opens the door to anything from Misty accidentally hitting Haleigh too hard to intentionally doing something to having some visitor who did something. Which opens the door to the use of the van. Misty even mentioned it in terms of some blanket that was in it.

I just wish we knew more about what LE knows (or doesn’t). At this point I feel like we either have to assume LE has been doing a good job go with what LE is implying or go in other directions. I guess we’ve been doing all of that! lol!

I agree with you and I am a little concerned about the possibility of the wrong person being railroaded or framed.

For example, when Tommy was being pressured (we assume) when his bail was so high, would LE have been satisfied with anything he said that did NOT support their theory? Did NOT implicate Misty in some way? I don’t know.

I do not believe TN is involved, I would be shocked if it came out she had knowledge. Just because she worked for another county does not mean she could not have ties to Putnam County. I believe Ron could have been an informant and this would explain why he has been able to be exonerated on each of his charges with little to no punishment. He is a mommas boy, but I do not think TN is the reason he has had no convictions.

I do however believe that Misty has knowledge that would help this case. What her reasons would be for not coming forward I am not sure. It makes one believe she would incriminate herself.

Blue moon, I agree if he had been an informant that could have caused him to have bad enemies. However, if he wasn’t, as much as he has been accused of it now and as paranoid as drug dealers are we may be putting him in a dangerous situation.
I wonder how different his record is than 75% of the males his age there? He had 1 threat to do violence, charges dropped. That could have been from any fight and neither guy willing to press charges. Drug charges - but we don’t know the details, could have been they couldn’t prove who the drugs belonged to or could have been he got a break. We just don’t know the facts. Last charge trespassing, and he was sentenced guilty and given probation.
These charges don’t just scream that he got off by becoming an informant. If so I would guess Putnam county must have more informants than they have law abiding citizens. JMO

The difficulty we are having now is sorting thru the rumors that started the day Haleigh went missing, many of which are still circling the toilet but have not gone down yet unfortunately.

And we are also dealing with strong and long-held prejudices that came about due to rumor and the whole KP/Crystal/custody thing. PLUS what other people who pushed their way into this investigation have said (including some “reporters(none on BNN,” PIs, searchers, fake friends and bloggers).

I wish we could separate the wheat from the chaff now. Look at who originally said what, why and should we believe it? Who’s story has changed since then?

And also I wish we could step away from prejudices and take a fresh look at things.

It would also help A LOT to have more real information.

But you mentioned some different things that are really important, Treece. Like “I wonder how different his record is than 75% of the males his age there?”

Has CJ been charged for his threatening phone calls to Misty? They were recorded for pete’s sake! Has he been charged for going 80 -90 mph in a 40mph zone? He admitted it on the 911 call! Maybe his mom works for LE or he’s working with LE? (To all narcs and other criminal types out there - I’m making this up to make a point so don’t go crazy).

We just can’t pass judgment on anyone out of context or without all the facts.

M2C♥, So true. We are STILL sorting thru rumors that began in the very first two weeks. And how in the world half of these things got started, I have to wonder. Did these rumors start in the online world? If so, how sad. This case has had enough problems without these rumors when one considers the paid involvement, the email wars, the emails trying to nail others, it just goes on and on and on. And thru all of it, we still have just one question, the ONLY real question.

However I find that I either don’t post at all or I am always posting in Ron’s defense because the bulk of the time when I am on here it is a Ron bashing. I am not talking about someone just stating how they feel or think. I am talking about posting alot of false stuff as though it were truth when it is just bs yet it plants false impressions of Ron.

I think some “bad guys” worked very hard for a long time to bombard the public with rumor and lies (why, I don’t know). And we were actually purposely prevented from finding out a lot of information including what we’ve learned recently about Crystal. Again, I don’t know why.What is the agenda of these people? It continues today. Are they man haters now too stubborn and egotistical to admit they might be wrong (about anything)? I don’t know.

But they influenced the information we got and they swayed a lot of “good” people who might have had a more balanced view without their interference. To me it is a wonder that they have not gotten someone physically hurt or killed yet.

I was stating I could see him being an informant before It could be TN getting him out of the trouble he got himself into. I would never want harm to come to anyone. I too wish we had more info to go on.

BLueMoon & Justice, please forgive me if this felt like an attack on you. I positively did not mean it that way. I have wondered the same thing. I am just saying how we have ALL been so swayed in our thinking by things we have heard that have no facts to back them up. Some of them to me have been especially dangerous for Ron and his family. Another one, to me, that is just as wrong but the bulk of the general public believe is that Ron is a hot head, dumb ass, with a raging temper that is scary. I think that has been planted in peoples minds to the point that they are afraid of him. There is no evidence to that stmt. Ron has gotten mad before, he has mouthed off but we have not seen any facts that he is out of control or scary with his anger. I can say if I had been in his shoes the past year you would have seen alot more anger from me over some of this mess and I am old enough to be his mother. LE concluded it was Misty from day 1. Now LE have no evidence, nothing that would prove Misty has anything to do with Haleighs disappearence. Now they are fishing, because they have nothing. Putting out in public that “Misty holds the key”, hoping to catch something from the public. What I dont know. All they are getting is wild rumors and theories based on nothing but imagination. Wild goose chases after letters of “information” surface. Fame seekers. Nothing more than distractions from finding Haleigh.

All—think about it, if Misty really held the key to finding Haleigh, dont you think Ron would have gotten it out of her, one way or another? He does not believe it, and from what I have read about this case, there is no basis on which to make Misty either a suspect, or a material witness.

Misty said she would walk the kids to Tommys sometimes. That would be the loop.But the railroad tracks were possibly Mistys scent from some other time. The scanner of LE said they knew when the last train had passed through the area. They were on that right away. jmo

Just researched the newfoundland “Gunny” He is a crisis dog, like the ones that visit nurseing homes and give comfort. No training in finding missing people or scent trailing.

I personally spoke with blstark and she says that Gunny is NOT a search and rescue trained dog but she can SCENT & does hear for long distances, in case someone was hurt and making small sounds/noises he could hear it. That’s why he was used for the San Mateo search.

You are correct, that child abuse was later found to be a school accident. But the pictures were plastered all over the net and TV calling Ron an abuser. Yet those pictures came from Crystals side and they would have talked to Haleigh and known it was a school accident. What parent or grandparent wanting people to be searching for their missing child would want to create a side show like that?? To me, only one that wanted to make a distraction from the focus of searching for my child. That is one of the wildest things that I think they did. Do you think this is strange behavior?

Click the docket link and search for Croslin, Tommy or Croslin, Lisa and you will find nothing. Even if you just search for Croslin yhtere is no listing for upcomming docket. I’m checking in Public records for any updates on the case. They usually list them, as we’ve seen in the past.

Tobias @ 4:12 - That’s true, I’m sure. But this accident happened at the school because the school knew about it, Haleigh was there when it happened. It was plain old mis-information for the purposes of smearing Ron.

And in the very beginning I believe Crystal said Ron would never hurt the kids (and Misty wouldn’t either). So it was shortly after the very beginning that someone got her to change her tune, I believe.

Tobias, I think TM talked about the gun etc long after KP was hired. And you are right about someone on that side thinking it was the best chance to get custody. But it backfired big time.

Tobias, have you read KP’s response to the Bar Complaint? She says that Marie was insisting on going for custody of Jr and reduction of custody payments and she (KP) did not think it was appropriate at that time. So all of that was NOT due to KP.

Yes, i agree sometimes kids will lie. However, if Crystal or her mom were worried about it they should have taken their pictures to the child protective service, and cared enough to verify Haleigh’s story with the school when it happened. Instead they took the pictures and saved them until this particular opportunity to use them against Ron. To me that is suspicious behavior. At the time of the accident if I had thought someone did that to my child I would be screaming it from the roof top to every LE, child service and media person that would listen. So that makes me think it wasn’t about protecting Jr but using this tragic situation to try and gain custody. Custody to me would have been the least of my worries if I thought my child was kidnapped. I would have wanted all my efforts and all of LE and everyone else focusing on finding her, not creating another circus. But it is ok that we disagree, I respect your right to your opinion. One thing I am convinced of is that this case may have been solved sooner if Ron had dropped Misty out on her own from the very beginning.

Tobias, I am sure Crystal had plenty of time to calm down since she didn’t show up for 8 hrs after she was notified 3 or 4 times that Haleigh was kidnapped. But I am like you. If it had been a 2 hr drive I would have been there in less than 2 hrs ready to kick ass so I understand your feelings but nothing about how Crystal has behaved would have been like I would have. I too would probably be in jail.

LFLorida reports that there was a large vehicle parked in front of the courthouse @ noon today. She said panel truck or van, vauge description.

It was likely a vehicle that transports prisioners to court. I will update as info “comes in”.

Some of the “grow houses” I researched had deisel powered generators put in…:0 Many times they are caught due to the power drain and the power company looking for the reason and finding their wires have been spliced into. So, IF Haleigh is being hidden, I can’t imagine they (whomever) would risk the power company catching them, so it would have to be a self contained system. Also if not growing “pot” and only providing light & power for a small child and 1 adult at a time wouldn’t need that much electricity. Only if there is no growing except of Haleigh though. Some also use geo-thermal energy. I’ll try to find out more.

The initial “pattern” of actions by Marie, Crystal and KP was carefully crafted BY KP as she described it herself in her response to the Bar Complaint - plans to bash Ron at every opportunity and specific efforts to make Crystal look good.
Unfortunately, KP’s client, Crystal, and mostly Crystal’s mother, Marie blew all that up by mis-handling the HBC and its funds, not doing what KP told them to do, and blogging.

I did not mean that only Marie was blogging. LOTS of people blogged and Marie was contributing to that in a number of ways in spite of KP cautioning her not to.

Who do you mean by “Jericho?” KP? She’s clever enough not to get “sucked in” by manipulative bloggers who wanted info from Marie. That’s why she warned Marie not to participate in that (or do interviews but she did).

Marie didn’t get “sucked in” IMO. She was there to help disseminate damaging information about Misty & Ron. Also KP might claim she told her to stop but IMO, again, this is untrue. Jericho/KP knew the “agenda”. I’m gonna “pull” some of her posts tonight so we ALL can see the TONE of her posts.

Yes….in certain fields of employment they call the it CYOA…Cover Your Own @ss. In other words there were some things that KP didn’t want “leaked” but there was a lot more that she wanted spread. However, you won’t find that in any Barr Complaint.

First, I do not understand why anyone (unless you are family or friend) are defending any of the people that are involved in this case or consider it “bashing” if someone puts an opinion out there. We are not the Jury and if this case ever goes to trial, we will not be one of the jurors!! We are not tainting anything by putting together the pieces of the puzzle we DO have, just simply, contemplating, “what if?” I don’t think by making a comment we are damning folks one way or another…the fact is NONE of us know…We are simply speculating. So, let everyone have their opinion without being high and mighty and so PC!!

Blue Moon, I think you are pretty new here so you don’t know the “history” so to speak. No one here wants to prevent negative comments about Misty, Ron or anyone involved in this case.
What some of us WOULD like to prevent is what we’ve seen on this board time and time again which is blaming EVERYTHING on one or the other including made up stuff, old de-bunked rumors, “imaginings” of the worst sort and doing it ALL the time! It’s when some people blame whatever happens on the same people without ANY foundation for it. Some of us would just like some balance and fairness.
A look at the facts if we have them. Or an acknowledgment that there are no facts - but opinions which are presented as facts.

Some of us would like to be allowed our own opinions - which could range from “MAYBE it’s so and so’s fault” to “No, I don’t think it is this time” or we just want to point out that there is no foundation for accusation/fault-finding.

Often in the past those people have been viciously attacked for NOT agreeing that it’s R or M’s fault. For expressing their own opinions.

It has nothing to do with being PC. It’s got to do with avoiding real bashing which has nearly turned this board into yet another Ron or Misty-hater site (with no other opinions allowed). It’s not about preventing negative comments or opinions. If we really want to look at all aspects of this case, both positive, negative and neutral opinions about nearly everyone are appropriate.

Blue Moon, “bashing” is constantly, always, without fail blaming everything and anything on the same person no matter what it is. It is exaggeration, it is smearing someone.

That is a whole lot different than considering Tommy as a suspect and discussing why and mentioning he has a drug problem probably or whatever else and your opinions and speculations on the theory.

No one is expected to be neutral and of course we don’t have a lot of facts. That’s kind of why we don’t like the constant “bashing.”
Suspecting someone and discussing why etc, that’s different.

The one thing I would like to add is that - although it happens (sadly) from time to time -we really try not to attack each other. Jan and Simon (our hosts here at BNN) do not like that either. So we’re not perfect by a long shot but we are supposed to try to speak to each other in a reasonable tone and way (not an attacking/fighting tone).

You can “attack” the theory based ONLY on scientific evidence that would DISPROVE it.
Also there will be no attacks on other posters. The family should not join as we will be discussing decomp and the like. I don’t mean to sound crass, but I NEED a forum where these things can be discussed without others insisting the family might be hurt by it. It is a members ONLY forum, meaning passer-bys can not even read what we are saying. I think that should protect the families from unexpectedly reading something “distastefull”. No one on that side needs to squawk or turn on anyone or try to get a better deal because there has been nowhere near the scrutiny or pressure put on them like there has been on Ron, Misty, Tommy, etc.

I am not suggesting this theory over any other. To me, it’s just good to have this one on the table as well as the others since we don’t seem any closer to finding Haleigh at this point.

I’m wondering if you realize WHICH bloggers I wss referring to. I was talking about bloogers here, ie: Treece, Vaquera, Kool Look, Blstark, and a few others. Are you saying you don’t want to hear what they have to say about it? I thought you would since they were also there when it all was going down. I’m pretty sure it made a huge impact on them as well. Might even explain why some are so defensive about that side of the family. They, we all, witnessed the heinous actions of some. Some of us were even victims of the people who were controlling the information that was allowed to be posted. If a Crytal theory was even mentioned then, you could kiss your b*tt good-bye, at least on that forum.

There is still NO mention ofthe outcome of Lisa & Tommy’s appearance at court yesterday, if they did appear. Have the charges been dropped? I also was having a hard time finding public records on on-going cases today. It could just be operator error though…I still think it VERY strange that since their arrests were SO publicised there have been NO news articles about their plea day/court appearance. What is going on with that? Have they told LE something they wanted to hear and the case(s) are on hold for now? I just can’t figure out why all the Hush-hush about it. Anyone have any ideas as to why we haven’t heard anything about it, not even from locals or other forums?

Just to clairify….the grow operation happened in 1997….there is no current grow op, as far as we know. The charge for drug house along with JJ Lauramore, is in public records. It was only brought up to illistrate that the theory of Haleigh being hidden by the Sheffields is more plausable then most may realize. There was a verifiable drug house bust for Marie & Johnny Jack. It has been alleged that it was an underground grow op. I have been searching for news links to verify this info. I have found a person who was arrested just weeks before for marijuana cultivation and may have been the person who “rolled on them”. I’m not sure, still rersearching. I, for one, have no problem with people posting anything they like/think and let those who wish to find either verification or prove the info incorrect. But nicely.

UN pulls medical professional due to security reasons. They are showing footage of people just out of surgery abandoned! Some still have IV bags hanging and NO medical personel to help them. The CNN corespondent has been there all night and has not witnessed any violence and is visibly distraught! OMG! Those poor poor people. First the Earthquake & devestation, now they are being left to die by medical personnel. I realize that the professionals need to guard their lives too, but these sick & dying people need help!!!!

Re: Blue Moon’s comments 1-15-09 8:15 p.m. I am just getting caught up here. Totally agree with Blue as the kicker to me from the beginning regarding Crystal and Marie was that they were both entirely too calm. Neither could squeeze out one single tear when talking about Haleigh being missing. To me, it was if they knew that(especially Crystal) Haleigh was safe somewhere. As to Crystal’s very puzzling demeanor, she seemed to be somewhere else in the world but was constantly rubbing eyes, making strange whiny noises but not 1 SINGLE TEAR.
Failed Acting 101, in my opinion. IMO, she should have been investigated to a very lengthy degree and should still be taking LDT tests. No, I am not defending Ron nor Misty and have no actual idea what has happened to Haleigh. Each day, I check to see if hopefully, HC has mysteriously turned up.

A Florida story we may have missed from yesterday and its’ follow-up…
Palatka boy stabbed to death, police officer slashed in face. An 8-year-old Palatka boy was stabbed to death and a Palatka police officer wounded during an attack Tuesday night in the city, police said.

Assistant Police Chief James Griffith said he’s unsure what caused the stabbing that left little Dayquone Hill dead and Officer Todd Bryant with a cut on his cheek. Police charged Zachariah Williams, 22, of Palatka with murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, Griffith said.

Palatka child stabbing suspect had 28 prior arrests. At 22, the man accused in Tuesday’s stabbing death of an 8-year-old Palatka boy has a criminal past stretching back nearly 10 years.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show he’s had 28 arrests, including 10 probation violations.

“He’s an extremely volatile individual who has been involved in a lot of crime,” said Assistant Chief James Griffith of the Palatka Police Department.

On Tuesday, police said Zachariah Tochshema Williams, whose age was initially listed as 20 by authorities, fatally stabbed Dayquone Hill inside a Palatka apartment.

Williams and Dayquone’s mother were boyfriend and girlfriend, Griffith said.

This is just totally wrong… Where was child services in this case? Why was this guy out in the general public and not in jail for the other offences he committed? One has to wonder what goes on down there. jmo

ALigoo, I was not following this when the Kim and Crystal thing was going on. I only based my opinions on what I could find in court records and through other research, not on what other bloggers said. I dont think Ron or Crystal had anything to do with this directly.
Indirectly they may have made friends or enemies with the person who did this, that is my belief. I would also be surprised if Misty did something to Haleigh, I do feel that she knows more and possibly knows everything. That said I am also not ready to rule out others. jmo

Also I think alot of people question Rons behavior reguarding Misty. The marriage,divorce, his believing in her, and now the resurrected togetherness. He really does not help in his own public relations by doing this. Its like he gets involved in things and then gets angry because it gets reported. jmo

Yes, I agree totally. It was a huge misstep on his part and has made him look terrible. I think that he initially married her because he felt that he could eventually get additional information about what happened to Haleigh. Possibly another reason was to get back at Crystal and Marie because of their attempts to discredit him. Very poor logic on his part. His mother & grandmother supported him on this, at least publically, but what else could they do? If this is what he thought he had to do to find his child, I don’t think they would have been able to change his mind.

It looks like he finally came to realize that this wasn’t working and was causing more damage than benefit; hence the divorce. He may still cling to the notion that he had better keep on good terms with her. Possibly he is right - who knows. I think he is a very private person and dislikes any of his actions being reported. I can’t say I blame him on this. It’s certainly not helping find Haleigh!

I also think that we absolutely do not know what relationship Ron has with LE. My guess is that he trusts some individuals and distrusts others and so has been in touch with some and not others. Just a comment.

Personally, I don’t think either Ron or Crystal was involved. Both parents love their children, regardless of their abilities as parents. I don’t see any valid motive for Ron and I don’t believe that Crystal has the capability. However, if we look at motive, there certain are some on the part of Crystal’s relatives, including financial and revengeful, and Crystal’s Court notice could certainly been the breaking point.

You bring up come good points on how they would have had the means, and either they were very lucky with their timing (or watched the house), or they had inside/local help. If they could have provided an incentive, such as money or drugs, then it’s possible they could have enlisted local help. We have learned that these families have many intertwining connections and relationships. It’s also possible that they could have enlisted one or more members of the Croslin family - not such a remote possibilty. Would someone who had a drug record and a history of stealing drugs or checks not do simple tasks like dope Misty, unlock a door, and make a phone call in exchange for drugs or money?

It may be that the original intent was to take both children but there was only time or opportunity to take one. Or perhaps the intent was to take one and get custody of the other after discrediting the father.

Was the crime scene staged? It sure appears like it, but who did the staging? The local person(s) who provided the opportunity or someone else in the same family who wanted to cover for another family member? All these things remain to be seen, but are not out of the realm of possibilty.

This is not the only possibility, of course, but is not as far fetched as it may seem. I hope that LE can get their “one little piece of the puzzle” satisfied soon and I’m sure they are working feverishly on it. LE will be happy to bring this case to resolution.

Aligoo, you have many good points and food for thought. I appreciate your kindness and consideration of all parties. However, to think that Kim P was just deceived and meant well is farther than I can stretch my imagination. I guess if she returned Haleigh to Ron I could look at that as an attempt to right her many wrongs against this case. jmo

So, phone call from Ron had to occur approx 7 minutes prior to her arrival, so phone call occured at 3:28 - 3:21….so what time was he dialing the phone? If Misty is using Ron’s phone why did he tell her “Give me my phone” just before he hung up the first time? Did he use Misty’s phone to call his mom? Doesn’t make sense to me. If he told Misty to call 911, she used her phone and he used his to call Mom. I think he was on the phone to TN when 911 op called him back. Notice how the phone rings 4 or 5 times before being answered. As if it was in use and he said “Just come on over, 911 is calling back, I gotta go!” then answered the 911 call. SO, would that mean that he was talking to Misty or his MOM? I’m going to get some better headphones and take another shot at it. I still could swear Ron told Misty “What were you thinkin, leaving them alone, in the middle of the night!” JMOO. That could be where LE decided that Misty may not have been there at the time of the abduction. He also could have said “What were you thinking, taking them out, in the middle of the night!” Maybe we’ll figure it out soon.

It’s no mistake, IMO, that TN wore that jacket but let me say this…if I were in her shoes and had that jacket and connections to LE, that coat would be the quickest way to tell the officers on scene that I am one of them and to keep it in mind. I can not fault her for that, not even a little. The pictue I can see her grabbing as a precaution, in case it was needed. It doesn’t hurt to be prepared. It’s probably a good thing she thought to bring it. It also is a picture that did not reval Haleigh’s birthmark. Not for estetic reasons but as something that could be held back by LE. One of those details that aren’t revealed right away so that tips that include it (the held back) are taken more seriously. It does seem like a lot of thought for a few minutes though. It would seem that since she had worked with LE she knew what would be needed more quickly then most would.

As for the blanket? I don’t know. Misty claimed it went unnoticed until bedtime or just before. Therefore no one remembered it was dirty when TN was there. Also I don’t think we were ever told when she picked those clothes up to be washed. It might have been earlier that day, the day before or even the day before that. So maybe the blanket wasn’t even wet/dirty when she picked them up. Just tossing thoughts around. As far as doing their laundry, well, I can only say that’s a Mom/Grandma thing, IMO. Both myself & my Grand daughter’s other MiMi both help out her & her parents all we can. She was probably doing the kids & Ron’s laundry because Misty had been gone since Thursday night and the kids were out of clean clothes. That was the real reason for picking up something for Haleigh at GGMA’s. It’s a white lie, didn’t want it to look like they weren’t being “taken care of” so they said Haleigh wanted a special shirt. Let’s put the pieces together.
1) No one to wash clothes from Thursday night until Monday morning since Misty was gone. Ron could have done it but he was having big problems with Misty, kids were away, he was in no mood.
2) Trip to GGMA’s in Welatka Monday morning to get clean outfit/fav shirt
3) TN brings more clean clothes over that evening.
4) No detergent, unable to wash clothes unless an emergancy, then use whatever soap substance is available.

The only questions I have about laundry are:
1) Was the washer really still going when LE arrived?
2) What was in said washer?
3) Was there really dirty clothes in the dryer?
4) If so, why?

I think that they were with TN or GGMA Sykes that weekend. They. one or both, would have gladly babysat since Ron was having so much emotional upset and would have need “time to himself” or to get away from it all. Much like he’s done THanksgiving & Christmas. I don’t see that as being a stretch of the imagination. Why so secretive about it though? So as to not have to explain what they had been fighting about,ie: party weekend, fake PG test, etc.

So you are correct, my info was posted in error. It was GGMA Sykes who dropped off the clothes. Did they take her the dirty clothes that morning when they picked up the fav/clean shirt? WHen did she pick up/recieve those clothes that she washed, dried, dolded, & returned that night? According to this transcript the Aunt WENT INSIDE the MH. Words of TN.

The thing that comes to mind for me is just fear of “Guilt by association”. That someone may have pointed out to him that it would look like he and Casey were similar and that G & C were similar to TN & GGMA, Ron’s supporters.

I don’t know why but I do feel like his mom knew more than she has said..And Ron too!
It’s just that when the story broke,Crystal and the Sheffield’s,Ron’s mother and everybody involved in Haleigh’s life backed Misty and Ronald and then a few week’s later the truth start’s coming out!I guess it bug’s me because everybody’s stories and perception’s changed!
And to be honest TN has alway’s struck me as hiding something,even if it’s not about Haleigh but that’s how it seem’s to me.
