		<description>Unfortunately, these days litigation is a real threat, so warnings like this are a necessity if a group is to avoid getting sued into extinction. Also, The Tolkien Society has a lot of members under the legal drinking age in numerous countries - to turn your phrase around: children (often) are intelligent enough to read "The Lord of the Rings"!

I am not (as far as I know) allergic to hops, but I can't stand the taste of beer, so the One Ring Net exhortation is too narrow for me, but (at nearly three times the legal drinking age) I still toast The Professor with alcohol, whether it be scrumpy, single malt whisky, wine or something else. I don't mind the disclaimer in the least and I hope those to whom it applies are sensible about it, without feeling too hard done by.
