		<description>Great post. If we want to increase the size of the military just pay more and they'll come. Why shouldn't soldiers be paid what their contemporaries in civilian life get paid? That's the argument I always hear about other Federal workers. If you want freedom, if you want security then pay for it Rep. Rangel but don't expect it for free by trying to re-start the draft. We pay enormous sums of money to support congress and all their perks so let's just pay the armed forces for what they do. I am a Vietnam war vet and I'm proud to say that the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines today are the best we've ever had so don't go and screw it up with a draft Charlie.
