Gary McKinnon, could face extradition from Britain to the United States where he would stand trial for hacking into US government computers and could face a sentence of sixty years (Charged with 7 counts, proposed sentence Ten Years Per Count but 60 years is maximum they could impose.)
I traveled down to London on Tuesday to meet Janis Sharp outside the Home-office, i was pleased to see Liberty there supporting the demo, The only other charity there representing Gary was Staffordshire Adults Autistic Society (SAAS), No other Autism Charity was present.
Gary and his family have already served there sentence, and now time is ticking away, Gary could be sent away anytime now, But there is one man who has the power to stop all of this before it’s too late for Gary Alan Johnson can stop the clock and save Gary.
People with Autism do not like change of routine, Gary has never been on a Holiday outside of the UK, so sending him to the US will be a crime, he will have a nervous breakdown, high levels of anxiety will lead him to be suicidal, as well as been subject to stun guns in the US prisons he simply would not cope.
Our UK Government is going to send a Vunreable man with Asperger Syndrome to the US. Asperger is now recognized under the UK (DDA ACT) as a recognized Disability.
Autism campaigners Ivan Corea of the UK Autism Foundation and Kevin Healey of the Staffordshire Adults Autistic Society have appealed directly to President Obama urging him to show compassion and allow McKinnon to be tried in the UK.
