Thank you so much for your comment. had stopped posting my articles in this series due to the above response and a personal attack by another BNN blogger (M2C). It was so repugnant that Jan removed it. Since I read your comment I have had a resurgance of desire to finish my in depth analysis.

To my other readers…sorry to have kept you waiting so long. I will be posting the rest of the series segments I had planned. I hope you’re as excited to continue as I am.

I, like you, have been a victim of abuse growing up and I completely understand where you are coming from. I had a posting on another blog where I poured my heart and soul out and got a similar response about “other people” even though they were actually unnamed.

I guarantee that your opinion of Misty Croslin isn’t going to “ruin her reputation” in fact, if she has any reputation left to be ruined, she did it herself. You are stating observations of a movie that struck you as being possible scenarios in this case, that was all. You didn’t outright accuse anyone of anything and were NOT libelous to any degree.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this person either is Misty, knows Misty, or is one of the others in that “crew” and is bothered for that reason. Again, Misty Croslin’s reputation was damaged by Misty Croslin, I could go into the details now about how that happened by her own hands but it is futile, we all know already anyway.

As an outsider and someone who had sex young, had children young, and was married young I can tell you that Misty Croslin needs some help to get away from the toxic environment and sober up before anyone will begin to respect her. Then there is the question of a child missing on her watch, under very questionable circumstances, where details that shouldn’t change were changed in her story!

She couldn’t have slept coming off a drug binge without the aid of drugs. Withdrawal causes insomnia, as well as various other effects such as pain, fatigue, tremors, sweating, sensitivity to light/noise, being on edge, diarrhea, stomach cramps, loss of appetite, etc. etc. She wouldn’t have been able to sleep through Haleigh’s alleged kidnapping unless she was wasted. I promise you that anyone with a drug habit as big as these folks, they cannot go a day without a fix or they get sick.

In one of my previous posts, I list out my idea of what happened and why every adult in Haleigh’s life is culpable for her disappearance. Even if she was stolen by a stranger, these toxic adults/teenagers exposed this little girl (and Jr) to a life they shouldn’t have ever known. They opened the door for a fatal mistake to be made by using drugs around these kids where the kids could either end up accidentally overdosing while the grown-ups are passed out or getting stolen by a sex offender because they allow anyone around them who has drugs. Don’t think one of these sickos isn’t smart enough to find families like these and use them to get what they want. They can strike at the very right time when it is least expected and no one would know, because they were high.

Again, all of the adults in Haleigh’s life are responsible for her disappearance, those who didn’t stop this madness effectively made that child disappear. I fear due to Misty’s use of the past tense during first interviews, that she knows Haleigh is already dead. But that is just my opinion. You don’t say that unless you know and what she didn’t say is just as telling.

In short (yes I know it’s long but you deserved defending) Holly’s Gmom, you couldn’t have tarnished the reputation of these folks any more than they have already done to themselves. You didn’t make blatant accusations and there is this thing in the US called “Freedom of Speech” that allows you to make opinions without being held liable. Accusations are different but you qualified each and every one of your statements with an IMO or equivalent.

This other poster just needs to learn to leave it alone and start asking where this child is instead of “How dare you?”

Keep up the good work, it is very therapeutic for us too.

2) This series is not meant to Mud-rake anyone. It is written to give an explaination as to why young ladies act self-destructively, at times (Alcohol/drug use, sex, rapid partner changes)

3) I am not implying that Misty Croslin was abused as a child. I do however, think that it is possible that Misty has PTSD due to an event that happened in her early teens. It seems that it, in and of it’s self, could have caused PTSD/Anxiety issues.

4) If you think this article is the worst that is being said or has been said about Misty….you haven’t read enough…either of this story or the rest of the internet.

I don’t know who did this, and I don’t think you do, either. If someone else is arrested for killing HaLeigh, how are you going to feel about destroying these other peoples lifes? You cannot un-do it once you publish it. HaLeigh might be dead and buried out in a ditch. If she is how is all of the muddraking going to help her. It will not.

I feel much like Jan & Simon via thier articles & comments. You might not like my content but you should respect the fact that I am trying to help Haleigh be found. One can claim I’m just feeding my own ego but it’s not true. While I do enjoy the positive responses, it is not the reason I am writing it.

It’s a very popular movie . I wonder if Mr Brewer has a problem with his FILM being compared to what’s going on in Satsuma - Since he seems to be a wonderfull person, I’d think he’s just glad
1) Someone really “got” his film. That is an artist goal- to move people through thier art
2) They are telling others why it is so great and in what ways.
3) He’s getting just as much if not more publicity than Haleigh is in my articles (or me for that matter)

If I were Haleigh’s family, and whenever she is brought home, if I were told that someone who wrote an article (could be me, simon, or jan or any other author) that made finding Haleigh happen (tip, sighting, etc) I would NOT care what the article had said…only that it did what it was intended to do. Give that 1 more person that 1 more peice of info they needed to bring us all back together. Meanwhile…while waiting for that to happen….just be thankfull that anyone besides ourselves care. Hasanni Campbell & Marc Bookal aren’t being followed much at all. Since there are soooo many for Haleigh, maybe an authors should spend more of thier time on other children. I’ll be pondering that thought…..

Comparison of movie & Haleigh Cumming’s disappearance is not a stretch, it is absurd given the brief and undoubtable colored image provided by Art Harris who was working in the employ of counselor Kim Picazio if the stories here on BNN are to be believed.

Your diligence is commendable as are your footnotes to information regarding the subject of abuse, victimazion, and coping mechanisms.

Your failure to further check the facts and speak to the persons you characterize as abusers, victims, and drug users and REFER TO BY THEIR NAMES is evil.

I grew up in a very loving family and it breaks my heart to know of the abuse some experience, especially segments of society that are defenseless ……children and the elderly.

Stormgardner: Thank you. I really try to take the reader there with me. I suppose I am somewhat of a visual type thinker so it’s easier for me. Besides, Mr. Brewer has given me such a beautiful peice of work to use as a guideline. I’m considering analysing the Jenny character from Forrest Gump. Sweet movie, I loved it, still do. She also has a story to tell, just not as graphic as Rae’s. Thanks to you for your encouraging comments.
