Thank you for this article. It comes at a time for me that seems to be a balm to my soul. I know that it must sound strange, but it does. Why? It means that even in the most dire circumstances 1 person can make a difference, 1 set of parents truely raised her son right!, 30 people and thier families are saved, 1 heculian effort can affect so many. It gives me hope to conitnue onward in my own fight to make adifference for others. It is so sad and tragic that he lost his own life in the process, but it sounds like he gave it willingly, loveingly, and without selfishness. I'm sure he felt he would survive as well but he made that effort anyway. Was that last trip across too much? Did his body give out? It doesn't matter. He saw what needed to be done, did what he could when he could, and he IS a hero for that! What more can we ask?</description>
