When LE went to Ron’s that night they knew the truck had not been driven, that it was broken down, and that he was with a group of people who all said that Ron was with them the entire evening, so why did LE insist on Ron going to the station and talking to Merchant over a dead rat? Makes no sense.

I too know folks and you just may be correct. I think if it happened and Ron did admit to TM, Ron knew it was his word against TM.. So more than likely no one was going to believe TM. I think I will forever be suspicious about all involved.. including/especially the side-shows Masters Of Ceremonies.

I hear you.. the alibi/lie thing.. I figure he said that so that people would believe that Misty couldn’t have had anything to do with HaLeigh… Misty being loyal to him. If that makes any sense. I don’t buy him doing it (placing rat) for that purpose… of testing Misty… I think it was done as a threat to Tommy… I think that was just an excuse he used to TM.

One post directly from me to LS was a nice respectful suggestion with a please and thank you that I thought would help LS AND help some bloggers who were upset. Several people reamed me out for that. Yet they are the same people who at the same time were putting people down with disdain and some were lobbying for bloggers to leave comments that were only documented fact. But apparently that was okay.

Some hypocrisy there perhaps? A deliberate attempt to intimidate me and put me down?
Or a genuine feeling (which I cannot find a logical explanation for)?

I don’t know. So I do not know how I or anyone else can write carefully enough to be sure not to appear to be “coming at people.”

I do appreciate your making it perfectly clear that there are people on this board who are able and (may be) willing to do some pretty evil things (IMO). I just don’t think that what we write or how we write it makes any difference. “Beauty” and “ugly” are in the eye of the beholder, in the intentions and character of the beholder. And if people want to view posts with a negative attitude, want to look for insults and problems, they will find them - no matter what is said or intended.

I often wondered why Ron wasn’t asked about all of TM’s claims while he was still doing TV interviews. I pretty much think that there was something to the RatGate claim. I of course don’t know how it all went down, I wonder if Misty is willing to tell it all now!!

During the past year and a half that I have blogged here I have cautioned people a number of times about the risks of the internet and referred them to articles I thought would help them.

However, I was stunned to read your comment this morning in which you not only mentioned me specifically and a comment (that had been removed along with your reply) from the other article but also described in detail how you hacked someone before and posted photos and personal information about them.

Your closing remark was: “I just want people to realize that yes, you can have your say here or anywhere on the net . . . but in doings so YOU are potentially putting yourself at risk.”

How could I read that as anything but a threat? Especially since you mentioned me specifically? Especially since “I had had my say” which you took great offense to? The message I got was “I can have my say but I’m putting myself at risk from you.”

I am not an enemy of anyone here. Posting an objection or disagreement is not something that you or anyone needs to see as “an enemy a’comin” as you put it. But now I feel that if I disagree with you (or anyone you agree with) then I am at risk.

No matter how bad things have been here - and they’ve been really bad at times - I have never had the desire or felt the need to track someone down. I have never felt as personally threatened as I do now. I never expected it and especially not from you. I had thought pretty highly of you - even though I disagreed with some things.

In relation to the case, another blogger posted a comment that I realized expressed exactly the way I felt - after reading your comment (@3:41 am) - about being here at BNN now: The comment was: “Trust, Respect and Integrity have been compromised.”

I don’t know that I will ever feel free to express myself here again. It will take a while if it happens. In the meantime I do hope that you and I can mend the fences and that I can try to trust that we can blog together - even with differing opinions - and I can try to trust that you (and perhaps others) will not try to do me (or anyone else) any harm.

M2C: It ’s my understanding that Jan has asked both of us, publicly & privately, to stop communicating with each other since we are just causeing problems for the other board commentors. So if I don’t address or answer you this is why.

Also, I’m glad my “warning” rang a few bells. I think everyone needs to keep in mind that they are the ones putting themselves “out there” and IF someone, could be anyone, wants to they can get your info.

Back in the good old days of the internet (2001-2005) it’s was really easy to find stuff, not so many different pages (LOL). Not bad stuff, just stuff in general and when a person said something “inflamitory” they were called flamers. They would post stuff to just upset people, try to get a board closed, or just plain made a nuicience of themselves. Back then it was considered “fair-play” to fight back like that. Since I have matured some I realize that it wasn’t a good idea, but it happened, learn from it, and move on. The urge I was resisting was to just look for info, not necissarily to post it, anywhere. Just for my knowledge, so I would know an enemy a comin, should there be one.

Yes, he does look like Ron and so does John Travis… And actually, I think the Bobby Cummings looks like he could be related to the Croslins.. and the James Dean and Karl look a lot alike.

Yes, I agree that nothing on the internet is private. It is up for grabs to anyone who has the time and inkling to search. It, therefore, is the responsibility of each individual to monitor what he/she writes on the internet, what information is placed there, etc. Anyone who believes otherwise is naive about the net.

What’s “good reason?” That someone/anyone has dared to disgree with someone?

What that means to me is that HollysGMom, for example, who HAS tracked down people and invaded their privacy and posted their personal information on the web CAN do the same with any of us for any reason she wants to which means no one better cross her.

I received that threat from her loud and clear and I am so very sorry that the information you provided supports it.

I’m just sorry to see that you allow someone like that to stay on BNN - not that banning them would keep them off anyway - and it would do nothing to repair the damage she could do to someone.

Jan, this has gone way beyond bickering - to threat level. The risk was always there but now someone who HAS hacked others and who is threatening others is allowed to behave that way and stay on BNN. I don’t think anyone is safe in leaving comments that might give that person “good reason” to hack them. So I advise everyone to avoid her or to praise her to the skies or you might be her next target.

First of all part of what was said here is very true. Everyone should know that once you start on the internet some how you can be traced. Apparently you have to really have the knowledge to be able to find someone’s name, address, phone number and what they had for dinner last night but not everyone has this know how.I certainly don’t. As I said before I can only trace an IP and I only get the general location as to where it is coming from. I do not get the person’s name or their address or any of personal information. But for instance if the FBI takes my computer they could tell a lot more about me I am sure.

Since I have nothing to hide it doesn’t bother me. Simon and I both use our real name and everyone that knows us on here knows we are in Mississippi and that I am definitely not from here and neither is he.

For those of you that are bickering with each other on here, please try to remember it is Christmas time. We should all be celebrating the time of year and not arguing and bringing people down.

The Donald that WAS with the family and at the tent area was Ron’s uncle Donald, who is not a Sapp.

I had thought that the track was an old track of HaLeigh’s since it went to the bus stop BUT the part of going into the woods and around the loop made no sense. I then found out that HaLeigh had NOT walked to or from the bus stop since Ron had gone on night shift, which was weeks prior.

It then hit me, what if the track is not that of HaLeigh BUT that of the perp or one of the perps. BUT parts still made no sense. Why would the track seem to be “wandering” around the neighborhood. I then thought perhaps the perp drug something of HaLeigh’s around the neighborhood to throw off the dogs.

Then pieces started falling into place with TC’s arrests and his admission that he went to the MH that night. Misty states that TC would go into the woods to do drugs, I believe he also would prowl around the neighborhood at night, possibly stealing things, or casing out homes.

I believe that the dog tracked TC’s fresh scent out the back door and into the woods. I think at some point that TC’s fresh scent and older scent crossed and that is what the K-9 picked up, the overlapping of the fresh and older scent which would explain the wandering of the track around the loop, and up Tyler.

Just my theory.

Myself and Officer Sorenson initiated a track beginning at the back/side door of the residence. The track lead directly out the backdoor, and down a wooded path, as we traveled down the wooded path, we located what appeared to be a small child’s foot print in the dirt. It should be noted that Ronald said Haleigh’s shoes were still inside the residence.

The track lead to a pond and then back to Green Drive. At this last residence on the right side of Green Drive was a small building with a door which had been left open. I entered the building and verified that no one was inside.

The track then continued north past the residence, where we made a left turn on Monroe Avenue. We made another left onto Buchan Circle, which we followed in a loop
back to Monroe Avenue.

We then made a right turn on Buffalo Bluff Road, to the railroad crossing, where we were forced to end the track because the canine was unable to follow it any further.

I then returned to the scene…

I am sure most of us are aware of the recent “outings” of posters and the outing of a RSO who was running a forum under the pretense of being a site dedicated to HaLeigh.

Where you go on the net, who you share your information with is something we should not only think about, but we should be aware of the risks involved.

Now, posting comments on a website dedicated to news articles, like BNN, is probably one of the safest things to do on the net, PROVIDING you are not sharing personal information with those that you meet who are also posting comments on that site.

I have never had a problem with you HERE on Haleigh’s thread and have often supported and applauded your posts. But because of my feelings about your OTHER project, you threaten me (and everyone else) here on Haleigh’s thread.

Just exactly what I feared would happen.

Jan also removed YOUR post to me on your article. I never saw it and I’m glad that I did not. And I was grateful to Jan for removing my post to you because I wished I had not written it. I told Jan that.

Yet hours and hours later you’re still going on about it AND threatening me.

(especially since you make a point of describing that you have exposed someone’s identity, photos and info about it on the net before.)

In posting (&watching many) I felt we needed to hear this info again. There’s an answer…somewhere….let’s stop with negativity and grow in a positive direction. I’m willing to try. Some of it will make you cry. It will definately remind you that there is a little 6 yr old girl out there missing.

I’m sorry about posting in Haleigh’s thread about my artles. I don’t see what it matters, my so called popularity, I don’t get paid any money for the hours of work I put in. It just gives Haleigh 1 more shot to be hear about. There was a very personally attacking post made there by M2C that some may have seen (cent, I suspoect) others did not as I wrote Jan about her opinion of it and she took it down. SO if you thought you saw something vile, & then it disappeared, it. I could have posted it here in it’s entirety but chose not to. I just don’t want other’s wondering what this is all about. It’s over. I’m moving on, I just know where some stand on certain issue and will take it into consideration in the future.

ALso, guys,….I’m a (young-41) internet “grannie”. I never considered myself extremely “savy” until today. What A LOT of people know about computers now, will scare you. Many, many people know how to get your information, if they are so inclined. Have you really looked at some of these other crime forums? You give someone 1 door, 1 opening and before you know it they know everything about you. Myspace, Facebook, Yahoo, Google Earth, Public Records….It’s not all that hard. Meta-seach browsers searching 15 different internet portals at one looking for a very refined web search tag. Children do this! If you are afraid of someone finding out who you are for destructive reasons, they probably can. Just know it! Be aware. I very much believe the Identity theft aticles I’ve read here, they are very true and acurate. Now before you go off thinking I’m some criminal, I’m not. I’m easily checked out as being the lowly front desk clerk @ Country Inns &Suites in fabulous (nowhere but a military base-2nd largest in the US per sq ft) Crestview FL. Beyond that you should need no help. Public records will show I have no criminal history (bounced a few checks as a young married with kids–ooops!). I’m just saying, not to scare you, but to warn you that it’s not all that hard.

I have only once ever posted personal information about another poster. It was years ago, not this forum. It was a young lady’s site who I thought had a particularily cute style and just wanted to leave a positive comment telling her that. (It was a gothic forum) Well along comes this guy screenname: JaredF*gHater. He flames my post terribly. Calls me out as a lesbian (I’m married to a man 15+ yrs?) says vile awful stuff. Well, I’m mad and much younger then and I take 2 hours and “play”. I return to post:

I don’t think that we are wrong.LS hasn’t posted since the major doubt issues.I know if it were me I’d be more than glad to prove my claims true.That’s jst me.As much as I want Haleigh found,I’m just not gonna fall for any BS,that sounds to good to be true.One thing that I question[if sum 1 would tell me]how has LS and this team been able to obtain information?It’s been said that most folk down Putnam County aren’t talking to outsiders[saw on the news months ago].Plus as we all know LE is “very tight lipped”

Turned out it was a former blogger who was one of the nastiest people to ever poison BNN and had left BNN. But then came back and did that. Just awful. How can people behave like that on forums for missing and murdered children? Must be a special hot spot in Hades for people like that.

Anyway, for now I’m putting the LS situation in my “maybe” file and hoping for the best.

If/when I have decided to inform BNN of my PERSONAL issues, it was because I felt myself withdrawing in a way that I did not like or because I felt that it was relevant!!!

To be honest, I have read your posts on other topics and felt like you crossed the line with the writer/posters..etc. However, those were/are my opinions. I’ve also felt like you have attacked unnecessarily, to the point that perhaps you were trying to garner ATTENTION. Yet, I CHOSE to try to remain NEUTRAL.

Although I am a private person, I have been open about my PERSONAL struggles with many here privately and I don’t like you making a mockery out of MY problems. I don’t really see much difference - except sneakiness - in “calling out a poster” (by which I assume you mean addressing them directly) and writing the same message in a comment but not specifically addressing it to anyone. I think the former is more honest (IMO). If the comment is one of disagreement, the person will know it and will still take offense (if they want to). I’ve seen it happen.

There is definitely a double standard here.
Whatever HollysGma does (even track down a blogger) is fine. Wanting to control comments so they only include documented facts is fine.
(just some examples) ETC. But nothing I say, no matter how nice I try to be (usually) and even a comment from me to LS is NOT okay.

And one of the things that unfortunately comes to mind is a time long ago on the Caylee thread where a group would gang up on someone whom they wanted to run off the site. This seems just like that to me. I’m sorry you all feel so hateful toward me. That’s sad.
