This is all hearsay, but a couple of items have hit my radar today and I would love to get some confirmation about them. We are now two days away from the 10 month mark that Haleigh Cummings has been missing. There seems to be no solid leads as to who is responsible for her abduction, although Law Enforcement clearly feel that someone in the family, or extended family know a lot more than they have fessed up so far.
I think it is fair to say that there are few people involved in this case that have not created doubt by their actions or inactions.
Top of that list has to be Misty Croslin, the 17 year old, babysitter, housekeeper, and lover of Ronald Cummings. After a whirlwind romance, whirlwind marriage, whirlwind honeymoon in New York (on a network TV’s tab), then a whirlwind divorce. What a busy life for a minor! She has experienced more before the ability to buy a beer legally than most of us have in 50 years.
I will reiterate, I have no proof of this information, however my source is very reliable. I will quote from the email:
My friend was hanging out with Misty C last [night]. Smoking blunts [pot]. Sniffing roxies and having sex with multiple guys.
No lie. This was around 3am. She was with this guy named Charlie [Jones].
This rather cryptic email actually makes a certain amount of sense. Charlie Jones is the reported new love interest, and Misty does seem to have a bit of a reputation for sex and drugs.
Equally interesting are some rumblings out of the Sheffield camp. They have for the most part kept a pretty low profile lately, but that may well be about to change. The ears on the ground are telling us that Crystal and Chad have split up. Marie Griffis is said to be livid, fearing that Chad might spill the beans on the family. Fact or fiction? I do not know.
Adding further fuel to the fire is the mysterious shooting in Palatka (see story here) there are still no names being released. And trust me, we have been trying to get that information. For some reason PCSO are being very tight lipped on this one. What we can report is that the altercation happened in a predominantly black neighborhood. Although witnesses have been scarce, the rumor mill is saying that the two victims were not white Caucasian.
I am happy to give some good news though. If you listened to Sundays radio program you might have caught the fact that Capt Dominic Piscitello has been in hospital, well, he is now back on the job.
That is all of the scuttlebutt for today.

Still holding hope and prayer that Haleigh will come home which ever way that is. I just hope and pray someone will come forward. Apparently these clowns doesnt care about this precious little girl all they care about is the drugs I am sure they are involved. I know God answers prayers but not the way that we expect them to be answer but in His time and frame.
misty is staying with charles jones the same charles jones that ronald’s uncle donald squires beat up on october 27th of this year. and to clarify her bday is tomarrow the 9th not the 10th. wonder if le is gonna wheel her in and take the kid gloves off.
oh here are a few other things to ponder. lindsy croslin was doing night clinicals for her nursing class so she was not expected home until about 10:00 and 10:30 roughly. so if tommy went to check on misty then who stayed with his kids. why did misty call timmy her other brother when tommy lived right down the street. and of course she has yet to point the finger of blame on dear old timmy. (timmy aka timothy croslin wife chelsea, tommy aka hank jr. wife lindsy) so theres misty, tommy, timmy, and joe . lindsy is at clinicals, dad’s in the hospital, and momma’s there by his side. that narrow’s the field.

probably with timmy. timmy and chelsea lived down paradise shores in pomona park/lake como however it goes by crescent city zip/address. she is also in the mix and has been up to no good with misty in the past they are two of a kind look at putnam records chelsea fought with amber brooks’ mom last oct just shortly after ron and misty got together and she was also the one pregnant when coaching misty on faking being pregnant herself. it was chelsea who took the test so they work together.

Simon, I am highly suspicious of the quote above beginning with “My friend…” First, because I believe Crystal’s new love interest is this Charlie (I think!) – so if Misty is reported to have been partying with him then it just rumors starting trouble there.
And second, even if your source is reliable, their “friend” may not be. I don’t know. It’s just salacious gossip really and I don’t see how it furthers this case. In fact if TJ Hart -who I trust and have the utmost respect for – had been AT that “party” and was reporting what he had seen with his own eyes (which he was NOT – I want to make that very clear) then I still would not care to hear about it. It does nothing at all to help find Haleigh. IMO
heres what i gather to be the timeline:
the ac guy came to the house and tommy was there with his kids remember they were playing with haleigh and rj riding bikes sometime later around 7:00-7:30 gma sykes brings clean clothes. then misyt states the kids ate dinner. and from there it goes to 8:00 bedtime. what happened to taking a bath 2 kids that played outside and no bath right to bed. well so around 8:15 misty’s phone is off. Guess she didnt want ron telling haleigh goodnight cause she couldnt. then ron tries to reach misty several times no answer then tommy goes down around 9:45-10:00 he says no one answers but yet this is when misty was supposed to be cleaning the house and doing laundry. why didnt tommy hear the washer or dryer no lights so did misty clean in the dark. conviently tommy is back home before lindsy we think not sure. but lindsy was riding with friends to clinicals carpooling. so who took the van that had the blanket that misty obsessed about in it. also ron was supposed to have worked late that night so wouldnt misty have expected him home around 12:30
Well Chelsea certainly has changed her story, that is for sure. First it was the van was moved, Joe not sleeping like normal, scratches on van, and Chelsea was pretty open about thinking it was Joe.
Now she is saying she is a light sleeper and if anybody left her house and moved the van she would have heard it, so that pretty much means she does not think Joe left her house.
Hmmm which is it Chelsea? Make up your mind.
I personally think Tommy was involved and the rest of the Croslins certainly suspect it if they don’t know it for a fact.

I could be wrong about who Charlie is dating but I thought Crystal broke up with Chad and this was his replacement. Not sure though. No matter who he’s dating (or not) my post at 5:42 stands (with that exception)

why did misty call timmy and at what times was it and how long did they talk. chelsea and timmy drove the van alot to. why would anyone wait to call 911 with there door standing open. misty should of been afraid and not knowing if someone was in the house or not call the cops not wait till ron gets home. it was staged

why would tommy wait 45 minutes to go check on his little sister who is home alone with two kids and no transportation. so he would assume she is definetly home and he should of been worried about her. and if he knocked like he said he did then either haleigh rj or misty should of heard him.
hope: I know what you are saying but the other side of that coin, is that these people are not buddies with the cops. It’s not their lifestyle. IF Misty really had just woken up and couldn’t find her I am sure she’d call her brothers or sister-in-laws before calling the cops. Another reason is that she’d be calling cops to come to Ron’s home! Without Ron’s permission! Have to remember there probably were some kind of drugs in the house (she may have had them or knew/thought that Ron did).
“Cops are our friends” is not a bumper sticker that this group of people would ever have.

I dont think Tommy went to the MH to check on the well being of Misty and the children at all. I think he went there to make sure everybody was asleep.

it was a he said she said threw the grapevine that she called timmy and it was also said that she called her mom before calling 911. not sure but at this point you can speculate on if she did or did not and why. and if she did le knows. maybe that is why they made the trip to mass. phone records.

Well LE certainly should have had the phone records long before LE went to MA and had they seen a call to Timmy before a call to 911 I would certainly hope that LE would not have waited that dang long to question Timmy and Chelsea. They should have questioned them in depth long before they moved.
Just an observation but I found it odd that Timmy avoided ever having a camera on him.
Chelsea is the only one that was interviewed by the media, he never talks to them. Also very little of Tommy on video too. Plenty of Lindsy.jmo

it was said that one of misty’s brothers was acting weird and would not talk to anyone. also dont recall misty or any of her family going out to search. ronald was on a horse with equusearch, crystal was out on a boat and where was misty.
also heard that tommy said he had put a deer in the van trying to explain the dirt in it. so a child is missing and a blanket according to an interview with misty. and we have a van with a blanket in it, a scratch and cracked headlight, dirt in it and family members trying to explain why it was parked crooked in the driveway. i wonder if the motor was hot on the van. wonder whos finger prints were on the keys. one fingerprint covers another. the last one there the last to drive.
FDLE had that van in for forensics for a long time. I don’t think that FDLE would have turned the van back over to the Lindsy IF FDLE had found any evidence in it.

Then he sure was quick to get in front of a camera. I don’t recall Timmy giving any kind of interview to this day to defend his sister or to plead for HaLeigh’s return.
misty misty what have you done, and poor quiet little timmy : chelsea said they were moving to get out of le’s way so they could do their job. yeah right. misty never blamed timmy for anything. she blame her parents for her troubled childhood. she blamed joe for messing with her and tommy also. she blamed the other side of the family. never timmy her partner in crime. when you point a finger at someone you have four pointing back at you misty..
I don’t know when it started but Hank Croslin Sr had it in for Ron for a while there – for example, calling TM to tell him that story that supposedly Ron said if he had $30,000 he could find/get Haleigh. So maybe his sons Tommy and Timmy didn’t like Ron either – or were not going to cross their father.
Also, just look at these people — Tommy and Timmy. You really think they’re the kind of people to give one thought to going on TV to defend their sister or plead for Haleigh’s return? I don’t know what’s the matter with them but something is VERY different about them and they never have acted like one might expect. Part of it may be their “lifestyle,” (I’m trying not to call them white trash because that isn’t nice and doesn’t exactly explain it but it’s the closest I can get.)
well it is said that before all this tommy worked at seminole electric, but now hes went down hill and fast. maybe he knows or saw something when he went to check on misty. and he’s not telling cause not only will misyt go down but so will timmy.
I agree that Tommy’s gone downhill fast since this happened. But is it guilt over something he did? Or guilty knowledge about what someone else did? After all, he did just rat out his sister by telling LE (9 months late) that she was not home when he went there.

Tommy has a much more shaky police record then Timmy does. I am much more concerned about Tommy. Tommy had access to unlock the door earlier that day. Tommy admits being at the MH later that night. Tommy has a violent police rap sheet.
I think if anything happened in the MH to HaLeigh, LE would have found evidence AND Jr would have told. He can talk. I am sure he would have told his daddy if Misty hit or hurt HaLeigh.
yes he told le that he went to the house so why keep that info from le. no harm done there. unless of course theres more to it than that after all he should have told le this heck ronald should of told le this info so why the question is why not tell le. must be something to hide. wonder just what tommy saw. well only the truth will ease his suffering.
I’m going to say the same thing I have been saying about Casey Anthony. These people will have no peace until they come clean about what they know. They are in a prison of their own making, whether or not they are actually behind bars. A beautiful, innocent child is gone. Hope they all have a GREAT Christmas thinking about it.
well let us not forget misty’s mom on art harris telling this crazy story about haleigh and rj watching different movies in different rooms. and misty said she laid haleigh down you dont lay a 5yr old down they go to bed. she also said she put a sheet over her not on her. subconciously her words are right. well what if misty separated them because haleigh was dead and she told rj she was asleep. maybe thats why this movie story means so much to misty and her mom.
i wonder what tommy drove to go check on misty. and with her phone being off then ron couldnt tell her he was working late so she expected him home sooner which means if the van was used then when was it taken. just thinking outloud.

Iowa, yes Ron did leave work early cause he was saw at a local store. imo someone planned something. So who was it? Anyone know? I dont want to lose hope that this baby is dead. Part of me does and the other part does not. I posted so many flyers going on a thanksgiving trip and gave them to truckers(they didnt mind taking them either) some had never heard of Haleigh so i tryed to tell the story. God is with her where ever she is. I do know this is a fact.
i think you misunderstood me ronald worked late it was said because a barge was running late so he did not get off work at his normal time like normally he may get off work at 12 but on that night he got off at 3. so misty would have been expecting him at 12 since she turned her phone off and ron couldnt reach her. so what ever took place happened earlier that night.
im not sure about his work hours just read this in a blog somewhere and putting that thought into perspective. that makes the time frame smaller like 8-12.

It was stated that the reason for Misty & Ron’s fight at 8:30 was that she wanted to baby-sit a relative’s children, but Ron said no. I don’t know which relatives, but am guessing Tommy & Lindsy if Lindsy was out until 10 – 10:30 that night. Sounds like Tommy must have wanted to leave his house, but to not leave his children alone, sometime between 8:30 and 10:30. Question is why? It must have been important to him to ask Misty to come over. She would have had to bring Ron’s kids over.
For the question as to why Tommy would wait 45 minutes to go check on Misty after Ron called, it’s possible that he thought about it for a while and then decided to run over and check. Or, possibly, he got ahold of Joe or Timmy and mentioned Ron’s question, and then waited for one of them to come over and watch his own kids while he went over to check. Or, maybe to go check on Misty WITH him. (Not something he mentioned to LE.)

I have been curious if anyone knows whether Ron often worked overtime or not. I think I remember hearing somewhere that he did. If his normal stop time was around midnight and he didn’t work OT often, then Misty would have expected him home shortly after midnight. But if it was not unusual for him to work OT and he did not get home shortly after midnight, then she would have known he was working OT that night. If OT was typically 3 hours because that’s how long it takes to unload a barge, then she would have even expected that he would not get home until sometime after 3 am.
very good aligoo, so did she know if ron was working late. probably not if she had her phone off. and why turn it off anyways after arguing with ron. why not just lay it down somewhere and let it go to the voicemail. why why why . why did she want to babysit she already had 2 kids to watch or was there more to that story. maybe she was at tommy’s house , wonder if le did any forensic work in that house. maybe that’s why tommy was in no hurry to go down to misty’s she was right there with him. maybe he lied and they want everyone to think theres a possibility misty was gone just in case they find haleigh. so they can say oh she was not at home. yeah right.

I thought from the beginning that Donald Sapp was involved. One, he is a registered sex offender and his m.o., or preference are little girls HaLeigh’s age. Two, he lived with Misty’s brother but was registered as a sex offender in Crescent City so when the police came around to talk to the registered sex offenders in the area, they would have no reason to look or ask for him. He was not registered there. Three, he was seen with HaLeigh a day or two before she was taken, he was with her and JR. watching them jump on a trampoline. Four, his dad or uncle used to own or manage the trailer HaLeigh was taken from so Donald would know his way around and have a key (another post I read a while back said Donald’s uncle or dad kept the keys for those trailers they managed). I could go on… anyway, are you a psychic? I am really interested in your theory because of the Donald connection. I also thought he killed her in the trailer he was remolding there, the one he lives in now with Billy. Then when the remolding scraps were found in the dumpsters maybe that is what the dogs hit on. Maybe her scent was on the scraps of material. I am interested to hear more…
Hope, Interesting thought about Tommy’s trailer. I wonder if LE did search there? And you bring up another great point, maybe that is why they moved so fast, to get out of the crime scene? It would be wonderful if we could find out exactly what trailers were searched and how intensely they were searched. Did they really look through all of the homes in the immediate area? I hope so after little Jessica Lundsford’s murder. Too many unanswered questions. I wish LE would do something, anything, just show us they really are still looking for HaLeigh.
It’s possible that Ron knew at 8:30 that a barge was expected at midnight and he would have OT to unload it. He may have even been told how long it would take, based on the size of the barge and the cargo. If so, it’s likely he told Misty on the phone.
It is typical 17 YO behavior to hang up a phone and not answer, or even more irritating to the caller, to turn off the phone. Besides, this would give her cover for doing anything she wanted.
Bigger question to me is where Tommy wanted to go and why Misty wanted to help him out so much. What would she get out of it? Possible drug buy and Misty would get some to pay for the babysitting?
do you know the last name of this billy or how old he is. just curious misty use to have a boyfriend named billy. but let us not get off the path. what we do know phone times, calls made, the van, the blanket, and all the lies and non forthcoming of info. and that tells us who is willing to tell the truth and who isnt and all the other stuff we dont know but le knows like was there any dna on the block, door, van, house, and what was misty cleaning that night. like if she was washing dishes or clothes then wouldnt she just say that. no she was cleaning. how true.
if tommy really wanted to go somewhere bad enough i think he would let misty watch the kids at her house since ron was mad about her going down there. i really dont think the arguing was over babysitting cause it does not add up. or was it timmy’s house she was wanting to go to. and the 8 bedtime im not buying that either these people dont exactly live the perfect parent lifestyle those kids probably stayed up half the night when misty was in charge.

Hope, I forgot one thing, do you remember when Tommy’s wife, Lindsey gave the interview about the van being returned from LE? At the end of her interview she says, I think I know who is responsible (for taking the van that night and the damage done to it) but I will keep that to myself, or something like that… I cannot find that interview but I remember it well. I wonder who she is referring to? IMO, that woman knows a lot. She also seems to be one of the more normal, level headed ones of the bunch.

i do feel sorry for lyndsey she seems drug free and trying to make something of herself. she may be afraid to say who took the van and she also know that chelsea and timmy drove her van quite often. i feel very strongly that timmy helped misty and tommy is tormented by what he knows. i worry though lyndsey has kids and they have been left in misty’s care before this could have easily been them as well.

Hope, Billy is a female. Billy Lee Wager GRIFFIS. She is Donald’s girlfriend who was married to Jeffrey Griffis who died in an accident just a day after filing a restraining order against Donald Sapp. She is supposed to be related to Bruce Griffis, Marie’s husband but I cannot remember how. Also, LE must have thought Donald Sapp had something to do with this, they searched the area of highway that runs from his place in Crescent City to Satsuma, HWY 19, I believe is the road. Maybe they too thought that D. Sapp disposed of her someplace between the two residences. I thought maybe D. Sapp went in and took HaLeigh that night because Misty was at her brothers so Sapp just slipped out, took HaLeigh, drove to his Crescent City house in the van (so he didn’t leave any dna in his car) and then came back to slip back in. The next day he could have went back home to Crescent City and who knows from there what he did with HaLeigh…

Hope, you did say everything happens for a reason. If you read through the comments she posted it does seem like she is taking it off a list or trying to put notes together. Like the nick, the answer is right in front of us… I can see that being something scribbled on a file folder as a thought someone was having while on the phone or thinking you know, like doodling while talking on the phone, I do that often.

I am very upset with Savannah for going into my notes, but more so for posting things she had no business reading….But again, it is my fault. She is 16- What should I expect. I think it’s naive to just assume the kids were drugged or that a friend helped Misty dispose of her. Junior was awake during that night. He says so and so does Misty. Whatever happened must have been after the fuss between Ron and Misty at 8:30 but before 10:00 when Tommy went over to the trailer. What time did Misty call Timmy??? NOT enough time to dope and cause the death of a child at home. Junior would know if they hauled the kids with them. If someone tells any new info about the blanket and what time Timmy was called I might believe it.

Even if we feel like we can’t help anymore with Haleigh, there are ways we can help many many other children now and in future. I’m hoping to work with a couple of people on this blog to put together some organizations for everyone to check out. Maybe one will appeal to them and they can lend their support in some way – in addition to praying always for all of the children in danger and in need.

Charles Jones lives either in Welaka or Fruitland not far from Welaka. People there in Satsuma have been saying Misty started seeing this Charles when she returned from Tenn. He had a girlfriend at the time. We all know already that Misty did not care that Amber was with Ron. People from Satsuma are saying his family do not want him to have anything to do with her. They are telling him she is bad news or it could be they all are involved in things they should not be and she will only put them in the spotlight.
The e-mail is probably true about what Misty was doing. Misty is not going to change.

Amber’s grandmother and grandfather moved to florida when Lisa was a child, from W.Virginia, so there is no long family tree history in Putnam county that I can find.

tobias, another way to go about it (if LE had the ability and nerve to do it) is put someone in Misty’s drug group (like a narc but not a narc). Someone who could try to get her to talk when she’s high on dope. Maybe some truth would accidentally be revealed. Can’t trust the other druggies to report it. Everywhere I went back to read on what time Tommy was at the mobile home was Between 9:30 and 9:45pm. It was reported that Ron called Tommy at 9:00pm about Mistys whereabouts. alot of catching up today, but I have to say that if people are/were partying with Misty at the rate they claim they are, I find it hard to believe no one has produced any pictures to back up their claims of her smoking pot and snorting pills, I mean, seriously, people, those pictures would be worth a fortune! The news on Chad and Crystal, hey thats been an on and off thing now for over 10 months.. On her new myspace, which her momma is her friend, there is speculation from what she says about a new man in her life.. And she and Misty are friends too!!!
Now, the cinderblocks.. All of these people live in Mobile Homes.. Mobile homes use cinderblocks to set on, all of them, so Junior could have seen, any adult member of either side of the family which includes his grandfather JS all using and blocking doors open with Cinderblocks. Junior who was playing in the yard with Austin the last evening Haleigh was home, the boys could have been playing with block parts and put them on the ramp.. Hey, Kids do these things..

The detective is not Rons girlfriend. The girlfriend is reported to be an exotic dancer which could also be called a stripper/pole dancer etc. depends on the class of her employment, high class exotic dancers just pole dance, some lap dance. It was a rumor that Ron was supose to have gotten a women detective back a few weeks ago. I have never heard that one and I am on top of this case.
Cobra stated on the air that he knows the woman detective and she is from florida.
I wish her well with this case she is going to need all the help she can get.imho
What I heard was that Ron hired a female private investigator to try to find out what happened to Haleigh.
Whoever he is dating – if he’s dating – is someone else and I personally do not care what she does for a living. It’s none of my business and so far I can’t see any connection to this case. Same with Misty’s dates and partying. She dated and partied before. What’s new? Who cares? What is the connection to this case? Nada IMO.

But the other view on that is that drugs are a way some people deal with emotional pain. So maybe she is drowning out some pain (loss of Haleigh, public humiliation and criticism, Ron’s rejection) with the drugs now. What her excuse was before she met Ron I don’t know.

First I dont think PDM would just let everyone leave when a barge comes in late, I believe this would be Manditory overtime. He also probably asked Misty why her phone was off when he got home and she gave the excuse that she was asleep. And we do not know what Ron told LE. They had his phone records very quickly I am sure. So I’m sure they knew who he called. He didn’t even need to tell them! The only recent new revelation was Tommy saying that he went over to Ron’s MH. Apparently he had not told LE that before. I doubt Ron or LE knew that until Tommy said it (if it’s even true).

first all le does not just up and have phone records. they have to get it in writing to get them and with all the people involved and tracking down all the phone numbers to get records on it would take some time. let us not forget how long it took to get dna samples from all the family members. and that im sure took priority over phone records. no i think after the van and home and searching the area then conducting interviews with all these characters then sitting in the office they started looking at phone records.
and it only matters that tommy did not tell le this info. why not im sure he was questioned at least i hope he was. so again what harm if he went there and only knocked on the door. why not tell that.
and lastly ron said he picked haleigh up at the bus bystanders say not so ron also said there was no fight over a gun misty’s mom says so. so i dont assume anyone told le anything unless i know diff. even when asked by le one tells one thing and another says different.

LE not questioning Tommy in depth knowing he was at the MH earlier that day and knowing Ron called him that night, was a blunder on their part. A big blunder IMO

The problem, as I see it, is that LE had the info BUT did not follow up. They had the phone records but did not question anybody about them. They had everybody there to give LDT to and told the public they were offering LDT to EVERYBODY BUT they did not follow through. They had everybody there BUT did not do in depth questioning even of people who were known to be at the MH that very day.
It seems they waited for people to start leaving town before they started questioning people who SHOULD HAVE been questioned from the start.

The FBI was involved early on and securing phone records and audio surveillance wouldn’t have been difficult. Also possession of their phone records would probably been SOP for LE developing a line of questioning of the families.

It’s probably a rumor that was heard from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from someone else. If the person that wrote the email to Simon wasn’t there it’s a rumor and hear say and if they were there I don’t give it much credibility either. Just like Ron’s supposed stripper girlfriend. Yes they did physically take their phones. I do not know why they didn’t question Tommy back in Feb. since Ron called him that night and get his phone records. Or get the Sheffields/Griffis’s computers or phone records or give them LDT, only Crystal had one and Chad after the Baker County search.

I don’t know why some people think that Tommy was not questioned. I think that may have come from a blogger assuming that because Tommy had not told police he’d been there that night.
The two are not mutually exclusive. LE may well have talked to Tommy back then but he did not tell them he’d been at the MH until he was in jail recently. I’m just saying that I don’t know for a fact whether LE did or did not talk to Tommy back then. But his just now revealing that he went to the MH that night is not proof that they didn’t. Gosh what a bunch of negatives. Sorry! It’s too late and I should not be writing!
That’s ok. m2c. They might have talked to him but they should have hooked him up to a LDT too since he did place himself there earlier and lived close by. Tommy, Lindsy, anyone with the last name Sheffield, Griffis, and even Teresa and Grandma Sykes should have been giving LDT. That’s what I don’t understand. I am sure they talked to many people and since the SD was over at their house sometime after the 911 call it would just seem they should have given him a LDT. Even if he took one now he’s so pilled up no way could you trust the results. LE supposedly gave Greg Page a LDT but not the extended family? Boggles me mind.
If le is smart they got their eye on Misty. They just have to wait till she gets high, and then arrest her for getting high. (Any little charge will do right?)

Hi, Marie! Not sure about how the law works there on how long LE can hold a person before they can bail out. May depend on what the person is charged with and when the arraignment (is that the right word?) is scheduled (according to the court’s schedule).
The problems that may come up with arresting and questioning her the way you suggest are that she can ask for a lawyer immediately and that’s the end of the conversation. If she does not do that but she is “under the influence,” I’m not sure if anything she says can be held against her. Just as an example, if – in that situation – she said,”I killed her and dumped her in x lake.” LE might find the body but not be able to hold the confession against her. And without that, if there is no forensic evidence to prove she did it, then she’s free.
I know the “good” result would be finding Haleigh but it would be very frustrating to not be able to prosecute someone for it.
As you say, though, we can HOPE!
Vaquera: If I understand you correctly, I agree that Misty’s family and Crystal’s family/friends/beau should have been investigated/questioned thoroughly from the get-go. And after Tommy announced (8 months later) that he had gone to the MH, he should have been seriously interrogated (maybe he was?) and given an LDT. Unfortunately, LE can’t make anyone take an LDT.
At this point, my greatest fear is that LE is ignoring anything and everything that does not have a direct connection to Misty because they so publicly put the burden on her from the start. If something else proves true, then they look like dunces.
But frankly they need to understand that they already look like dunces so if they can solve this case – whether it’s a different scenario than they originally thought or not – that’s the ONLY way they’ll be able to redeem themselves in the public’s eyes. (My eyes at least)
AnneInTn, I know exactly what the rumor was and I know exactly who started the rumor, and gave Cobra the information. But, as usual the people who came up with the rumor took bits and pieces of nothing and came up with it.. I know the truth, and I think you do too!!!! The rumor was just exactly that a rumor started by people who jump to conclusions and tried to make it a reality.. There is no PI hired by Ron’s attorney, At Least Not Yet!!! There never was a Female PI.. Totally made up by TWO PEOPLE and given to Cobra as a Truth.. And he should be furious at those TWO PEOPLE!!! I think he actually believed the INFO, they were feeding him.. IF THESE TWO PEOPLE ARE GOING TO ACT AS A SOURCE FOR COBRA, they should make sure the info they are passing is the truth..

I did see my previous post and I am not acting holier than thou, I was merely expressing my opinion on the Answers situation and some of the remarks made about it.
So you personally have invoked the Sunshine Law and requested the investigation records from PCSO, State Attorney’s office, and FDLE?
I would be interested in knowing what response you got to see if it is the same one that I get when I get a reply to request for records from the above named agencies. I would also be interested in knowing what the Attorney General said in response to your request for information.

I also believe LE knows exactly who is involved in this they just lack hard evidence to make an arrest and a conviction. Like they have said to the Croslins “We are not going away”. Although most of the Croslins will be serving some time behind bars for the crimes they have committed the one they are really after is Misty. Eventually they will roll on one another. jmo
You are right, Tobias. That person was putting us on. A big clue for me was that no 16 year old would write that way.
I just don’t know why that person would do that except to create drama or try to make her ideas about the case seem special.

Don’t you think LE would offer someone some kind of deal or immunity or something to get the info they want? LE or the state att’ys office has enough clout to make some current charges go away if someone told what they know.
It seems to me the only reason that would not work is if it was Misty and only Misty who did everything AND never told anyone to this day.

I never believed any of that and I think the LE doesnt either. She is street smart to the extreeme and as we are learning very good at acting. MN and GS were fooled by her and supported her. I stopped in to read the comments of Tues PM and there was some great brainstorming going on, before and after the troll. Off the top of my head, this involved Cent, Hope, Tobias, Iowamom, M2c, Hangon and a few more. It’s posters like this who use their time productively for little Haleigh, asking questions, comparing theories, analyzing evidence, dispelling rumors and comparing notes. I commend you!

I suspect that the “Answer” is someone that lives in the area. I don’t believe that the info came from a Psychic. It was just a game to that poster, until they realized that they could be traced.
Also the weird story about babysitting and reading her friends notes from a file on the kitchen counter. No one that is professional would write files they would be on a computer or laptop with a sealed file. jmo
Hope, even though it was numbered, the “story” had nothing new in it. It was just like anyone else’s theory of what might have happened. But no one else has numbered theirs when describing it. There was nothing new and no proof. Her claim to be working with local LE is a joke! And it was negated (IMO) when she said she was a psychic. Can you imagine PCSO working with a psychic? LMAO!

And lots of street names have been mentioned over time in reporting this story and it’s pretty easy to look up people’s addresses. Adding some “truth” to a story doesn’t make the rest of it true. tobias i agree le knows alot more than we do. they know what is fact and what is not. they were in the home, the van, have phone records. let alone what intel they may have gathered after the fact. and let alone all the interviews, ldt, and comparing television interviews with theirs. so i do believe they are headed in the right direction. but no crime, no confession, no arrest…

The ? that needs to be answered is in regards to Tommy. Police have shot their selves in the foot by claiming he is telling the truth and on the same note clearing Ronald as a suspect. Ronald publicly stated he did have a conversation with Tommy that night however he did not directly request him to go to the home. If someone asked you to go to a home where a woman and children were that woman being your sister because the father of the children cannot get a hold of anyone in the home and you went to the home would you not call the father back that night? Would the father who allegedly called and asked this not call back to find out what the person viewed? Would Police not have record of those calls? They know whether Ronald actually asked Tommy and if they found he was lying they would not in same breath maintain him as “not being a suspect” Would you if asked to go to a home and check on a family not go to the back door, windows pound and then call the father and possibly get Police out for a welfare check? That leaves 2 issues to be resolved, either Tommy is lying about going there or he is lying about what transpired when he went there. If it is the first the Police with some effort and desire for truth can find that answer out and avoid that becoming an issue in court should another person be charged and then say ‘Tommy was there” If it was the latter then the issue comes to be if Haleigh would open the door, would Haleigh scream etc. Well parents every where i hate to break the news to you but here are some examples.

It is sad but it is true. I realize people want to blame Misty but IMO and has been from the start the person gained entry another way. The brick was placed in front of the door so that he could carry the child straight out and not have to control the door and risk it banging. A child that age & size legs head etc hangs over an average mans arm length that would cause him to possibly bang her head or another body part on the door frame causing her to cry out in pain in which he did not want happening. IMO he did this alone I wondered at first but the brick says it all if there had been a second person there would not of been need for the door been blocked open. It is a matter now if he sold her possibly to a drug dealer but more likely to a pedophile and then used the money for drugs or to pay off a drug debt, or he just killed her. If it is the latter then learn about him where is he comfortable does he go far off roads with ease, is bush his thing and what vehicles did he have where would it take him in terms of terrain, time frame and possibly get a perspective from there where she might be buried. IMO they had him right there “banging on the wall”

I watched the 10 oclock Jax4 news. How heartbreaking. The tree has Haleigh’s presents underneath. Mrs. Sykes wrote a poem and said Ron paces at night waiting for Haleigh to come home.

Vaquera, I understand, no pressure. I just hope something brings Haleigh home soon. I feel so sorry for the innocent loved ones of Haleigh. I thought a vigil is for when someone dies. How do they know that Haleigh is gone? Cent I agree with you as well. People have the right to honor Haleigh just as they want to and maybe thats what Crystal did that is not a crime at all.

To me the vigil does nothing for HaLeigh. I understand that there is strength in numbers, and that a prayer-chain can produce “miracles”, but lets be for real here, everyone at the vigil could have easily went on down to the P.D and demanded that more effort be put into solving the case. In fact perhaps they should of taken to the streets for a good ole march, to bring more attention to this crime.

I’ve always tried to give both parents a break but I have to speak up now about Crystal and her side of the family not attending the Vigil.
It was not long ago that KP outted her as a liar and a druggie; someone KP could not honestly help get custody of her children. It was also fairly recent that Crystal broke up with her baby’s daddy; and very recent that her very upbeat MySpace page featured a new creep in her life. As far as I’m concerned she should be too embarrassed to show her face in public – especially as a “worried, grieving” mother. It would be a farce.
Regarding supposed threats against Crystal I think it’s a load of BS. The most vicious and constant haters throughout this case have been Ron haters. If he got threats I wouldn’t doubt it. But Crystal? My azz. Besides she’s got loads of testosterone-poisoned relatives who’d LOVE to take anyone up on a threat. So, no. No way did she not show up because of that. It’s another lie, wishful thinking, or her drug-addled imagination.
Now please don’t take the above as meaning that I like Ron. He’s got plenty wrong too but not in this particular situation. This comment is only addressing Crystal and the vigil.
Read the Write article: Timothy points out that he will only publish the audio on national tv. In other words: he is shopping the recording around and wants national attention for it. Might I point out: when national media uses things like video, pictures, RECORDINGS from someone, they pay licensing fees. Just saying!
If the recordings are of significant value and could help in bringing Haleigh home or make a dent in the case, the guy should not be playing a game of “i’ll only release them if the national media will pay attention to me”. That said, It sounds like the man is in this for himself, not Haleigh. Given how he has misconstrued things in the past, taken things out of context and applied them to fit his way of thinking, and has a less-than-stellar reputation, it would be shocking if a legitimate news source on the national media level paid attention to him.
To Simon: I may not agree with some of your opinions or some of your guests opinions, but one thing I do like about you is the fact that you would never pull that kind of crap. If you had information, you would put it out there: you wouldn’t play these kind of games of holding info back to get national attention. So, thank you Simon! Keep on giving a voice to Haleigh’s case, it is much needed, especially given how some so-called journalist only want to use her to make a name for themselves.
Maybe the impact of what he will be divulging is of such a magnitude that he is afraid of it being squashed at the local level?
Perhaps the audio he has is of such a great magnitude that he understands that to divulge it on a smaller scale may cause people to be put in danger and these people would be in a safer situation IF the information is divulged nationally.
If anybody has followed his website and listened to the many audios he has put out, then they know that there has been some very revealing information. If he wanted money, I believe the NE would be more then happy to pay a pretty dollar to have access to the audios that he has in his possession.
I do not think he is holding back for a financial reason. I believe he has sent enough things to the FBI that should have peaked their curiosity enough to contact him to find out more and to investigate just what he does have.
Question is, Why haven’t they? Why hasn’t any LE department had enough of an interest in finding HaLeigh to contact TH to read and listen to what he has?
What happened to “No Stone Left Unturned”? Is that just a flip comment made to calm the public, that has no real merit to it?
Ron did not attend the vigil of hope, but Crystal did. It was for Haleigh and not sponsored by a family member. Cent is correct there are no excuses for anyone involved in this case. I was wondering If the citizens and those who could join them in picketting. Demanding JUSTICE for Haleigh. Haleigh would be back in the news.It would be a demonstration that brings notice to only Haleigh. It would not be a story that brings her to the news by a brawl,decapitated rats, getting robbed while buying drugs and more drugs.

I don’t see how releasing audio of people saying things in their very own words can be construed as misinformation.
When Ruby said, in her very own words, that she would have to be paid a large amount of money to tell what she knows, because she would have to leave town, how can that be construed as misinformation.
She said it. They are her words.
What TH puts out is not his words, they are the words of those that were the closest to the investigation in Satsuma.
I guess my point is, like it or not, agree with TH or not, what he puts out is the voice of those that were/are there, Cobra, KP, Marty, Ruby, and others. They are their words, not TH’s words, and I think it has given us, well me at least, a better insight into just what was/is going on in Satsuma, Florida, where a little girl has been missing for 10 months.
I want to know the “WHY” behind it. I want to know what Ruby knows. I want to know what crime Marty was talking of committing that could land him in jail. I want to know why the players in this case took the focus off of finding HaLeigh. I want to know why all of these people say things to TH AND yet won’t tell all they know to LE.
Most of all I want to know why HaLeigh is not at home with her family getting ready to celebrate Christmas.

looking- What I do know about TH is that he has probably hundreds of hours of interviews that he has conducted with some of the players in this case. In doing so, my impression is, that some things that were said in those interviews are questionable and should be investigated. He has taken this to the FBI in the hopes that they will investigate.
What I have also concluded about TH is that if he says something, he has the evidence to back it up, whether that be in an audio interview, a written interview, or email communications.
My feeling is, if TH is saying it, and he has something, anything, to back it up, it needs to be investigated, and IMO investigated at a level higher then PCSO.
I don’t think it would be any different if Simon, Jan, or TJ was given information that raised red flags for them. I am sure they would also do everything they could to have that info investigated in the hopes that it would help bring HaLeigh home.

looking- Pure speculation on my part BUT it sounds like somebody in LE said some things to somebody that indicates that LE knows/has known where Misty and HaLeigh were the night HaLeigh was taken.
If that is true it certainly raises the question as to why LE has played the “Misty” game for the last 10 months.
If it is true, then WHY has LE not used the information to find HaLeigh and bring her home?
If it is true then what else is LE hiding, or misinforming the public about?
If LE knew Misty and HaLeigh were not home then why have they not targeted the place and people where they were, or charged Misty with a crime such as reckless endangerment?
If Misty and HaLeigh were home, and LE knows this, then why have they played the “they don’t know if Misty left the home that night” game with the public and the family?

Misty never left the home she was exhausted and sleeping one of the persons Ronald called went to the home. The question is not would Haleigh open the door the question is why wouldn’t she? There are only a few reasons a child will not open the door the first being it’s a stranger or someone experienced in a negative way by the child. There was no reason for Haleigh not to open the door. She did open the door he carried out the back door now LE needs to go find out what he did with her. The party weekend, the sex, drugs stories, the Ronald stories, killer grannies and Wyatt being locked in tunnel vision is all smoke and mirrors leading away from her. Hangon you are right. I went over to the T.H. site to learn more about him. It was very interesting info. I wish I knew of him before today. I had seen him name appear in some of the blogs, but did not know who he really was. I thought the same as you why has there been no charges.
I believe it was tip #4 I was listening to that may have answered my question concerning the nebulizer that disappeared when Haleigh did. The clip spoke of a fake search and a peice that was found that goes on a nebulizer and some other items. It also stated that these items contained Haleighs scent, but noone was ever questioned personally or about the search. LE did not accept the evidence either.This is absurd!!
I heard a rumor back when Haleigh Bug Center was still in Satsuma that haleigh had been seen up at the Haleigh Bug Center in a yellow Nissan and that this person said that police believe that the parents of Haleigh had Haleigh hidden out somewhere. I always denounce rumors but it did sound interesting. Perhaps it could explain all the strange behaviors from all involved in this case. Who knows.
I just hope when TH releases this audio people really will not be murdered. This case is already tragic enough.
The only thing I hope it brings is Haleigh home and safe. If Haleigh is now with God may it bring her JUSTICE!

I was just thinking! The letter that was given to the editor in St. Augustine implied the same thing. We heard nothing after LE denounced it. There is something crazy going on. Everything that is coming to light seems to involve drugs and Haleigh OD and people will die when the truth behind it all comes out and it goes beyond state lines.

hope, we have to look at all angles and take every bit of info to look where Haleigh may be or what may have happened to her. Where audio clips can be cut and only state what it wants us to hear. This week has been real weird, first there was a shooting at MLK Plaza and PCSO is not releasing who they suspect did it, then these e mails about Misty and her trashy lifestyle, and Crystal dumping Chad while her family getsnervous over him spilling the beans?

hangnon – I only have a minute but wanted to tell you about my first impression of Timmy.
Long ago he featured a huge headline and “story” that claimed (this is paraphrased because I can’t look for it right now) that “Kim Picazio knows Haleigh is alive and well.” That was the nature of the headline.
BUT the story – as reported by a third party who says that Kim P said that to her, quoted Kim P as saying, “I bet Haleigh is alive and well.” (Again I am paraphrasing it but not the “I bet” part. That was definitely the beginning of the quote.
So you see KP NEVER said she knew that Haleigh was alive and well. What she actually said was “I BET….” she’s alive and well.
There is a HUGE difference.
But that kind of difference doesn’t matter to Timmy.
Another story made me laugh. Big headline: “Local LE Impersonate Feds” (again paraphrased.) The story was from the girl friend of a jail inmate who said the two LE who interviewed her boyfriend were impersonating federal agents BECAUSE THEY WERE WEARING SUITS!
I guess the girl doesn’t know that LOTS of LE wear civilian clothes. Just stupid.
So here are just two examples of the way he hypes headlines and doesn’t back them up.
It’s easy for people to fall into the trap because you really have to read some of the stories very carefully to see what is really being said – and not said.

However, the fact that someone would wait this long to reveal this “bombshell” is ludicrous. As far as people will be “executed”… I think that’s a reference to “street justice”.

Another thing people deal and handle their grief differently. Example every year on my son’s birthday, heaven day the holidays i release balloons, put flowers out at his resting place, light a candle. My ex husband the baby’s father doesnt do shit. So dont judge those everyone handles grief differently there is NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO right or wrong way to handle the grief. Crystal I am sure is doing the best she is doing not making a sence like the rest of them are. I see you all are giving her a hard time but when ron ran off and got a in memory tatoo of Haleigh no one mentions of it just talk down on how crystal is dealing with her child missing. So back the heck off unless you been in her shoes stop bashing its crazy and its not bringing haleigh home.

it seems ron and misty inspire so much more compassion, sympathy, regard and even forgiveness for what ever is perceived to be their failings than for crystal. whatever is good or bad about any one of us, nobody deserves this nightmare that BOTH ron and crystal are going through. how true that we all grieve and deal with tragedies in our own way.
also, they don’t just have a missing child under horrifying circumstances, they are dealing with it all having a very complicated and what appears to be a painful custody situation. all while both parents are still having to parent junior and in crystal’s case also cloe.

Hope, Billy is a female. Billy Lee Wager GRIFFIS. She is Donald’s girlfriend who was married to Jeffrey Griffis who died in an accident just a day after filing a restraining order against Donald Sapp. She is supposed to be related to Bruce Griffis, Marie’s husband but I cannot remember how. Also, LE must have thought Donald Sapp had something to do with this, they searched the area of highway that runs from his place in Crescent City to Satsuma, HWY 19, I believe is the road. Maybe they too thought that D. Sapp disposed of her someplace between the two residences. I thought maybe D. Sapp went in and took HaLeigh that night because Misty was at her brothers so Sapp just slipped out, took HaLeigh, drove to his Crescent City house in the van (so he didn’t leave any dna in his car) and then came back to slip back in. The next day he could have went back home to Crescent City and who knows from there what he did with HaLeigh…
From what I understand searching this area would also be a factor if the cousin of Misty or her brother were involved or if Misty herself went to Crecsent City.
Crystal I do not think fits into those big girl panties. They do not even have the website up anymore. I guess money stopped rolling in and since that is all they really cared about they shut that down. I am telling you I smell a rat when it comes to the Sheffield and Griffis families. I really do.

david that is interesting, but, they would have to have someone to raise her? i cannot imagine finding someone to do that a very easy task, when the person if caught would go to prison for a very long time?
