The exploratory committee’s web site is www.exploremccain.com.  Upon arrival at the site, there is an opportunity to donate to the McCain exploratory committee, join the McCain campaign network, and read McCain’s recent major policy speeches, as he lays the groundwork for his 2008 effort.
McCain is currently the front-runner for the Republican nomination, but others who will almost certainly be running are outgoing Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani – as well as a number of less well-known candidates.  The Republican nomination contest, which has been quietly proceeding through 2006, is now about to accelerate on the organizational and fund-raising fronts, as we approach 2007.
